Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Basel

We had a lovely week in Frank and Inka’s beautiful home in Huningue. The space was light and airy, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. The location is great: 7-8 minute walk to a French supermarket, 5 minutes to the village centre, 7-8 minutes to the trams in Germany and from there an easy ride into Basel. Frank made us feel very welcome and was flexible on the check in time which was appreciated after a long flight. He welcomed us with a fridge stocked with local drinks, answered questions before and during our stay, and gave us a lovely gift on departure. Highly recommend!

Pleasant stay in this spacious, fully-equipped duplex studio located in a pleasant residential area, near the Rhine. The vast space available and the calm were particularly appreciated with the children. Thanks to Leonore and Bea for the welcome and responsiveness!

Accommodation that was well described, no surprises. Very good bedding for the 3 beds, clean accommodation and everything you need inside. Small downside but nothing serious, the shower flow is very low, not enough pressure. Otherwise a very good stay and very attentive hosts.

It was a pleasant stay at Geralds Apartment. It is placed in a calm neighbourhood but you get to Basel within 15min Drive. The flat was described as in the picture and the check in was very smooth. It was clean and very comfy and we would want to stay again at Geralds place. Thanks for being such an amazing host and the delicious Alsace wine!

Self check-in went absolutely smoothly. The apartment was clean and bright. We really appreciated that coffee was available. Shower gel, shampoo, hand soap, dishwashing detergent, all towels were ready. The mattress is already a bit sagging, but no problem for a few nights. Thank you!

Beautiful apartment at a great location. The place is 11 minutes walk or tram ride from the Basel SBB station. I received a Basel card from Violet before check in so I didn’t need to pay for public transport during my stay. Basel is a very walkable city and this apartment is close to everything. Nespresso machine and the complementary capsules are a plus. Bed is very comfortable. I stayed a few nights in February, the apartment was warm but I was glad I had slippers with me as the floor was cold for me. I would stay here again.

We had a lovely stay here. Nothing to complain about. Everything was as described and even better. Luca was very helpful and responsive. He let us check in early and also leave our bags in the lobby area after checking out which was super helpful as it was a very hot weekend and bags were heavy. Everything was clean and well stocked. We loved all the little extras that were there to use. Navigating our way around from the apartment to anywhere we wanted to visit was very easy on public transport. Transport was free with the Baselcard and half price to many attractions which was amazing. A great experience, thank you. I would stay there again.

The place has a great location; We visited friends in Basel and it was great! Basel can be reached quickly and easily by bus. The apartment was very clean and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Shopping and a bakery are just around the corner. We felt completely comfortable and would come back anytime!

Great place! Spacious, Super Clean , Comfortable flat. Very quiet street. It's a 5 min walk to Basel congress center which was my prime destination but also so close to public transportation to get you across the river. Supermarket and restaurants at walking distance. Cute balcony overlooking a sweet yard with beautifull trees , perfect for having your morning coffee. Coco is vey responsive at all times. Had a great time. Highly recomended stay.

Great location for a beautiful apartment with a view of Markplatz. A wonderful location for Carnival if you want to be in the center of everything.

Mainak is a great host! He is very courteous and warm and responds quickly. The studio is as in the pictures, cozy, well equipped and super located if you want to visit the Messe Basel. In the evening and at night, the neighborhood is quiet despite the immediate proximity to the exhibition hall and the street.

It was very pleasant that we were able to check in even later in the evening. It was all totally straightforward. Communication was excellent. We were very warmly welcomed. Our host even baked a typical cake in the area. This was a great surprise. We felt very comfortable in the spacious apartment. The cozy and cuddly bed gave us a wonderful sleep. Everything around the apartment is green, circling storks above our heads, very idyllic. The village center can be easily reached on foot, where there are two very good bakeries, various restaurants with French cuisine and the usual snack options (kebab, pizza & co). In any case, we rested very well here, even if our stay of 2 nights was unfortunately very short.

Inge is a great host. She made sure we knew how to get to her apartment and printed Baselcard transit passes for us. The first floor apartment is located in a quiet and lovely neighborhood and has good WiFi, all amenities needed for a comfortable stay, and access to a pleasant back yard. Inge even provided milk, bread, eggs and fruit for our stay. We would be happy to stay here again on future trips.

Great, modern little place. Spacious and well equip! Hot water wasn't working and the host came over to help us with the boiler!

I had a great stay! It was a nice touch to find some welcome items in the fridge. The bike was very convenient and made it easy to explore the beautiful surroundings—you're quickly along the Rhine and in Basel. It's a practical location for a longer stay, especially if you're working at the Biozentrum or Novartis. Host Rosemarie was very kind, even picking me up on arrival and giving me a personal goodbye.
