Monthly Rentals in Balmaqueen

Awesome place to stay! Super peaceful and within an hour of some amazing parts of Skye! The wind and rain on the upper floor windows was so peaceful and it was a wonderful place to use as a home base for our elopement! Only wish there was an espresso machine or easier coffee maker than the French press but otherwise Fiona left snacks and water and was super communicative!

What an amazing view this place had! We thoroughly enjoyed watching the late sunsets each night, as well as watching the lambs and bunnies outside. The location was convenient for our itinerary; however it was quite remote. We grabbed groceries from a nearby store to cook meals at home since nearby eateries were sparse. We appreciated all the provided amenities.

The Byre is incredible! It is clearly very loved and well taken care of. Everything inside and out is clean and tidy. Well equipped with everything you could imagine needing. We felt comfortable and right at home. And the views were out of a story book!

This was a wonderful experience overall. The accommodations were great. Lynne and Stevie were great to chat with, and gave wonderful recommendations (make sure to check her helpful guide attached to the listing). We were so close to so many of the recommended things to do or see on Skye. I would gladly stay again, and can easily recommend this location to anyone planning a trip to the Isle of Skye.
