Enjoyed six months at the Not Your Average Bear cabin. Julie and Bilal were hospitable during our stay, respectful of privacy and most helpful. This cabin is about eight miles one-way to Blue Ridge, grocery stores and downtown attractions. There are a few eating options with a mile or two of the cabin. The cabin is eclectic with antiques, personal and family mementoes. Front porch rockers overlook the mountains, beautiful, serene and transformative. The kitchen is rustic, well-appointed and open visibility to the living room and dining area. The main bedroom is directly off the kitchen, but the main bathroom is separate from bedroom. A studio apartment is downstairs with en-suite, an upstairs suite with private bathroom is most cozy. This property is on a mountain and the driveway up to the cabin is steep. We chose not to be there later than December due to possibility of snow and ice. If you love nature, black bears, and daily herds of deer, this may be your next adventure.

This is our second time staying at Lisa’s place. This cabin is the best cabin we have stayed at. The place is beautiful, the view is beautiful , Lisa is absolutely, without question the best host we have encountered. Everything you need is provided. We would not hesitate staying here again. The area is great , lots of things to do and Lisa provides excellent folders of information and books to help you. Thanks Lisa for being such a great host!!!

Stunning home with everything you need for a spectacular stay in the north Georgia mountains. First class in all aspects. Will definitely return.

The place was exactly as pictured and described. It was definitely decorated with lots of love and they thought of everything you may need during your stay. The location was so peaceful and my husband and I felt right at home.
