We had a wonderful time at the Stone House. Conveniently located and enjoyed the hot tub after days of white water rafting, hiking, and horseback riding. The house was very clean and comfortable. The owners were great and very responsive. We really enjoyed our private horseback tour with Gerry. Thank you! Great memories

My wife and I had a wonderful Valentine’s Day weekend get away at Rustic Ravines. Directions were really great took us right to the place. It’s was beautifully tucked away in the woods and very well maintained. The cabin was clean, beautiful and very private. We had a wonderful stay and especially enjoyed the hot tub! When we left Joe went above and beyond. Big thunderstorms caused flooding blocking us in and Joe went out of his way to find someone that escorted us and someone else out and helped us get home safely. All in all this was a wonderful experience and we certainly would come back again! Highly recommend!

Joe’s place was very nice . Loved everything about it . He was very nice and answered as quickly as he could . The horses are absolutely beautiful . Would definitely rent from Joe again. My husband is a retired vet and he said it was a nice getaway to clear his mind . Thank you for allowing us to rent your place .

We love staying here. This was our third time. It’s a great area to explore and the house is super comfy. Lounging on the deck is the best part.

The setting of the home was breathtaking!!! The mountain was beautiful and the open patio was perfect to see the moon and stars at night! We were thinking there was too little light on the patio when we arrived but we know now it’s intentional. The home was spacious and had everything we could have needed. Hot tub was amazing and we can’t wait to return to Lost City!!

We had a little problem! Not her fault! Had a storm and the electric went off. Sherry came right over with lights and was very helpful’ the kids enjoyed no electric for awhile and practiced chess! She has lots of games! We went for the Blue snd z gray Reunion! Great!

We have stayed at this home many times because- a.) They have a fenced-in backyard so it is nice to be able to let out our dogs without worrying about them running away and b.) we love hiking at Lost River State Park which is just a short 12 minute ride to from the house, and c. It is a beautiful quaint home- very peaceful and has all the amenities we need.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin! Great spot for anyone looking for a secluded low-key stay.

The house is beautifully curated with antiques and art that highlight the historic structure. And the setting is so peaceful and pretty and loaded with birds and wildlife to enjoy on the covered porch.

Jonathan's place is wonderful as always. Had an exciting weekend to disconnect and enjoy good company in beautiful scenery. Look forward to coming back!

The place is really comfortable and beautiful. The house is out well and has multiple lovely porches and a great patio with fire pit to hang out on. We spent mornings on the back porch and evenings (and much of the days) on the patio. The trails were fun and a great feature. It felt very private and peaceful. We plan to book again!

This home is historic, and while it could use a little extra TLC here and there, it was such a lucky find! Located right next to the river, you can walk the trail that leads to the next town over, plus you can hear it at night when you step out. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with cookware, and there are space heaters should you get cold at night. The vault was the best part about the house. It was converted into the bathroom, but it was very cool to see what it once looked like. I love peace and quiet and you get exactly that with this home. There are many parks nearby too! You have to go in town for groceries and restaurants, but fortunately it’s a short 5 min drive away. We got to chat with some of the locals and everyone is so kind and warm, It’s absolutely beautiful out here. Even the drives to and from are stunning. We stayed for a month and were very lucky that Emily and Sarah made it affordable to us. This was such a great find.

This place is probably the best place I have stayed So unique, peaceful, large and accommodating home. I’d stay here every chance I get Thank you for being a great host!!!

Friends and family members rented several cabins at Black Bear for a wonderful weekend! Joan’s description warns that AWD is needed at this time of year—and it is. 🤪. Maintenance at Black Bear was extremely responsive when one of our group had difficulty getting out of the resort due to snow/ice. Nice to have the covered back porch to take off snowy wet clothes/boots.

The pictures do not do it justice! We booked this stay for 7 adults to spend a birthday weekend together. The four main bedrooms on the first floor were spacious and comfortable, the kitchen had plenty of counter space (and was very well stocked with anything you could need) We appreciated the charm of the historic dining room and living area and felt like this property balanced the historic/rustic charm with the modern essentials like AC, good internet, modern appliances, a well maintained hot tub, etc very well. Hikers, you can get right onto the lower town trail from this airbnb. Don’t bother driving and paying the parking fee if you’re willing to tack on two relatively flat miles on the front and back end of your hike. Highly recommend checking out Harper’s ferry brewing! Beware: not to state the obvious but there are very limited Ubers in town so plan accordingly!

My wife and I needed a trip away from the city for the long holiday weekend where we could enjoy some good activity in peaceful surroundings with our dog. This cozy pedestal cabin in Black Bear Resort was just what we were looking for. Check in was easy by picking up the keys at the resort lodge. The place had everything we needed to a cook a couple nights for ourselves, including the gas grill on the deck. The wall-mounted 4K flatscreen TV with Roku let us relax after three active days out and about in Canaan Valley while we listened to the thunderstorms roll over the mountains each evening. This would certainly be a fine place for folks (especially with kids -- there were two sets of bunk beds in the loft) to use a base for their WV adventures any time of year!

This was our second stay at Janel's place and it was just as enjoyable as the first time. We loved the fireplace and views from the A frame windows. The hot tub wasn't working unfortunately, but things happen and Janel was communicative about it. Had a great weekend regardless. Also love that Janel is accommodating of dogs. Our fur babies were happy to join us on our getaway.

The location was nice, really quiet and private and right in the woods. There are hiking trails right there, so we could do a 2-3 mile hike in the morning before heading out to activities. It's just a 10 minute drive to Berkeley Springs. The views out of the picture windows in the living room, or on the deck, were great. The house is very spacious and clean, with a well stocked kitchen. Everyone found all the beds to be very comfortable with nice linens, features not always found in rental houses. The living room fireplace was welcome as it was chilly when we were there. I can't think of anything we needed that the house didn't have. One thing to note is that the driveway is graveled and there is a little slope to the door. Having said that our mid-80s parents had no issues; just something to keep in mind if you have someone with mobility issues. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Great stay for my family and close to Black Water Falls and Favis, WV.

Although our stay was short, it was just the change of scenery we needed! The community is so quiet and feels secluded — a great escape from the city! We enjoyed being tucked in the woods with the remnants of fall foliage around us. Yet the property is just a short distance from downtown Berkeley Springs and Cacapon State Park and other things to do. We especially appreciated the great setup for kids. Our rambunctious toddler stayed busy on a rainy day by cooking in the play kitchen and reading books. He also loved riding in the push-car on the deck!

Second time we have stayed and have enjoyed each. Large farm house, is starting to show its age but that adds to the character. Pool and hot tub worked perfectly, Only 6 miles from Fayetteville. Great place for a large group on a rafting adventure.
