Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Washington

The accommodation was beautiful and felt like home. We met Barb and she was so lovely and welcoming. The property is so close to all the historic sites and union station. Bed was comfy, sofa bed, shower n bathroom lovely. Kitchen had all you need. Barb had cookies made for us along with bottle of wine which was lovely touch. I’ll definitely recommend this property and if I get a chance to come back I will stay again.

My father stayed with Carole 4 nights and even if he doesn’t speak English she was really reactive and helpful with the translator. She was really nice with him and the place was very impecable I really recommend it Thanks Carole for everything

This was the first time I’ve used Airbnb and I was so happy with my pictures. I personally think that the pictures don’t do justice for how nice it is. Vincent’s place is extremely clean and so cozy. The little details were appreciated- coffee bar, the stickers with the directions, makeup towel, board games, utensils and dish ware, etc. I had no issue with parking. I liked that Vincent’s place was a bit away from downtown (only about 15 mins drive) because the area was so quiet and peaceful. I loved my stay and hope to be back.

Sofi's place is perfect for anyone planning a solo trip to DC. It's conveniently located near the blue line and a bus stop that takes you directly into the city. Sofi was very communicative from the start, and the accommodation is well-maintained. I would definitely consider staying here again if I travel alone!

Gabriela’s place was a haven amidst the bustle of DC. A quiet refuge, if you will. I found her husband and her to be friendly and responsive. There is a large grocery store around the corner from her place as well as some lovely restaurants. Do consider staying with them when in DC, it will be worth your while.

Had a brief but wonderful stay at the Capitol Hill suite. Apartment was as-advertised, nicer & more homey even! Bedding was incredibly comfortable, especially after a long day of travel. Save this listing to your favorites, sure, but don’t wait too long. I’m certain this place books often.

This is a great place to stay and tour the DC Metro area - provided you have a car. Most days it would take us 30 minutes to get to and from DC though if we hit rush-hour, it was as long as an hour. The space is tidy and great. My kids love the pool, though it was a little cold for me-they swam there every night. Jennifer is great to communicate if you have any needs she gets stuff done right away. Note that there is only one bathroom, which can be a pain if you have a full house of six people. The washer and dryer are small so it will take you longer if you’re used to a full size. She had all the cooking methods and appliances available. The theater room has Netflix and Amazon prime ready for you to watch a show. There is even a popcorn maker. We did not use the gym, but it was nice - comparable to a small hotel gym. Property is in the owner’s basement, so there is some sound from upstairs as identified in the listing. Host stays out of your way but is there if you need anything.

Great stay! The studio was very clean, quiet, and comfortable — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. It’s conveniently close to DC, making it easy to get into the city without the noise. Would definitely stay again!

Dale and Morgan’s place was the perfect escape to the city. We could’ve moved right in - ha! They were gracious hosts, so helpful with anything we needed, and very approachable/personable. And I can’t say enough about their space. It was bright (despite being on a lower level), stylish, extremely comfortable, and had everything you could possibly need in a short-term stay. Or a longer stay for that matter - like I said, we could’ve moved right in! The back patio and front garden were also a welcome feature for just grabbing some fresh air or enjoying your coffee in the morning, without having to leave your accommodations. We can’t wait to go back! What are you waiting for? Book it now!

Very responsive host. The side yard is very nice for people with dogs that travel. Location is very nice but DC traffic during rush hour can be rough but this can be planned for. Would stay again.

This was definitely a great place to stay if you want to be close to the Capitol! Everything felt either walkable or just a short Uber ride away. Edith was incredibly accommodating and provided plenty of helpful information and recommendations—not just about the apartment, but about the city overall. We would absolutely stay here again!

This was our first time in Washington DC. This location is great with close access to the Capitol and surrounding monuments and museums. Elizabeth is very kind and helpful with places to go and things to do. There is a great neighborhood breakfast shop very close by and easy access to the subway and shared ride companies are easy to use at this location. The apartment is very cute, comfortable, and clean and Elizabeth provided many amenities to make our stay easy and comfortable. If we come back to visit DC, we will definitely look to stay here again! We have even recommended to our kids the next time they visit. Thank you for a wonderful stay Elizabeth!!

My family and I spent the weekend in Washington, D.C., and we were fortunate to find Emily's place at the last minute after our previous arrangements fell through. It was a wonderful experience, and the hosts were lovely people! The only challenge we encountered was the noise in the early hours of the day. However, I don't consider this a complaint; it's just something to keep in mind when booking a co-living space. We discussed the possibility of noise with Emily beforehand, so again, it's something to be mindful of. Overall, meeting this interesting and cool family and their dog Charlie was a good experience and an absolute pleasure!

Such a great stay and very convenient location! Directly around the corner from the Metro. Perfect for an overnight stay in the city. Very detailed instructions to make check-in/put a breeze. Will happily stay here again!

Willie's place was just as pictured- super clean and free of clutter living, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. We had an issue getting into the unit initially (code was not working) but I called Willie and he IMMEDIATELY answered and the issue was resolved in seconds. Location is great, could walk or an easy Uber/Lyft into the city or around the area. Also downtown Arlington has lots of cute shops. Less than 10 minute drive to the airport too! The only negative is that this is a four unit shared "house" and the stairs to get up to the unit, along with being on the top floor (old squeaky floors) it is very difficult to be quiet during the after hours (even with just walking in and getting ready for bed). Other than that, the stay was perfect and just as described! Thank you Willie!

Perfect spot and highly recommended for visiting the area that is dotted with well restored vintage homes, massive oaks, and beautiful gardens. One minute walk to Logan Circle and then onto the commercial area beyond. Lots of space, hip & modern, and squeaky clean. Everything was provided for kitchen and bathroom needs. We loved the front garden with the table and 2 chairs where you can sit and watch the world go by. Thank you Benjamin for being a great host.

My friends and I had an amazing stay at George’s place. The location was perfect, we weren’t far at all from the attractions we wanted to see. The unit was very spacious, beautifully decorated, and very clean. My favorite area was the patio and my friends enjoyed the shower with the jets after a long day of traveling. I would definitely stay again and recommend highly to anyone visiting DC.

Great place to stay. Close to cafes, restaurants, the metro. Ida’s instructions were great and the accommodation was exactly as described. We loved the accommodation and the neighbourhood and would choose to stay here again.

Great apartment! Sean’s apartment is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. It is completely quiet at night and the bed is good. There is a good vibe in the neighbourhood and the apartment is less than five minutes from a Green Line metro station that will take you directly to the best art museums in the city. Sean and his co-hosts are very helpful and responsive. I hope to come back to Washington one day and if that happens, I will definitely try to book Sean’s apartment again. My husband and I came for the Nationals vs Cubs series and the location couldn’t have been better! The house was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. Israel was incredibly responsive and helpful, always quick to answer any questions and made check in and check out smooth and hassle free! You can really tell he cares about his guests’ experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and conveniently located stay!

Jamil & Rania, are easily the most responsive hosts we have experienced on AirBnb. They made everything from check in to check out so easy; got back within minutes on any questions or concerns. The pics do not do the apartment justice. The decor and layout is in such good classic taste, everything from the wonder sofa, bathroom fittings, Master bed is the most comfortable bed ever slept in and sheets, duvet and pillows are high quality. Going to see if we can buy that mattress:-) Kitchen is very well stocked in terms of dishware, pots and pans etc, Coffee maker and k cups an added bonus, Dis-washer super easy to use. Work desk as super addition for log in to check work emails - wi-fi excellent. Sofa amazing as is mirror and walk in closet. Give them 5 stars, definitely stay again; definitely recommend!
