Chalet holiday rentals in Torridge District

Lovely place with close access to The Thatch and the beach. Perfect for a few nights away surfing with friends.

Our time at Joanne’s place was perfect. There were lots to do with the kids. The chalet was very clean and had everything we needed. Thankyou so much.

The view was fantastic, and the garden was sheltered; you could sit in the sun. The coastal path runs just behind it, so you can walk, but the plants hardly let you know when people are coming. The pub within walking distance had great food, so if you don't want to go out for a day there are great options nearby. All in all, definitely worth repeating!

My partner and I loved it THAT much, we are STILL there! We requested to extend our stay and despite having to move some bookings around, Alan and Lynne managed to make it possible for us! I had 3 nights of blissful sleep thanks to their fabulous pillows and now I get 3 more! 😁

What a beautiful place, so peaceful and the lodge was so cute. Ian met us on arrival and showed us around and told us all the info we needed, he also gave us freshly baked scones which was such a lovely touch. Just outside the lodge there was so much space for our daughter's to play and ride around on some bikes borrowed from the farm. The location was ideal and not too far from a town or a day on the beach. We will definitely be returning as we've had the most lovely holiday and actually feel we relaxed being in such a quiet, picturesque spot.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean and spacious. Alison responded to messages within minutes. She was extremely flexible with arrival times and made sure everything was to our expectations. The location was perfect with my son working at the Orangery and being close to the ferry to Plymouth. Close proximity to the beach, great walks with our dogs. Thank you Alison xx

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this forest chalet. The location is incredibly serene—nestled among trees with a stunning view of the sea, it truly felt like a peaceful escape from the stress of everyday life. The chalet itself was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. It’s the perfect place to relax, read, or take quiet walks in nature. The host was also very responsive and welcoming, making the whole experience smooth and comfortable from start to finish. Really good and peaceful stay at Phil&Sue’s place. Used it as a comfortable base for the weekend stay while doing a course on the water and worked very well. It felt cosy and homely, everything was very clean and well presented and is clearly a loved property. Easy parking and on bus route into Dartmouth which was very useful with supermarkets 2minutes drive. We would recommend it and use it again. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay. The area is lovely and it was very peaceful - just the calming sound of the waves nearby. With 3 beautiful beaches, each with their own character, within a few minutes' walk, it was so easy to explore without necessarily travelling much. We really enjoyed staying in the chalet - it had everything we needed and our holiday was a joy.

This place is so rare find, because it has everything, very clean (no mold or mildew) which was very important to me. Beautiful decoration through out the lodge made us feel this place has a unique character which can welcome anyone. Amazing location, so quite, but so close to the town centre. No dogs were allowed, and this was brilliant for me, not everyone needs to like dogs. The rabbits around the complex were adding to the nature feeling and peacefulness of the place. Easy to operate with the laundry facilities. Everything which we needed was there. Thank you place, i could see you again in the future :)

Everything was perfect. This is a beautiful place. The views are outstanding. We were very comfortable here and had everything we wanted. The bed was so comfy, plenty of hot water, tv, WiFi and phone reception was perfect. We would like to return. Thank you Heather

The host, Julie, was really helpful and responsive to our messages. Beautiful surroundings and the views from the chalet were incredible. We were visiting old friends and neighbours and it was an excellent base. The walk down into Shaldon along the golf course was convenient and stunning but be prepared for the walk back up!! The chalet had everything we needed and was really nicely decorated with comfy sofas and beds. Wish we were there longer and would love to go back.

Chalet is clean, welcoming and in a great place with wonderful views. Chalet is well equipped for catering and comfortable for relaxing. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Nick’s chalet and we look forward to visiting again next year

location to die for. right on the beach, stunning views and a really unique stay. everything you need is provided, place is really clean and sitting out on the terrace with a glass or two of wine watching the boats go by and the tide come in is truly wonderful.

It was so lovely to arrive ,open the door and be wowed by the place , it was comfortable and clean and Susanne had left some nice treatsfor us .she was available to contact for any questions and very friendly ,i would definately recomend her

This was our first trip as a family of three and Eszter’s place was just what we were looking for! It had everything we needed, with a beautiful view and wonderful walks. Highly recommend it!
