Buzzard Yurt @ Blackdown Yurts

GarethRating, 5 stars9 months ago
A Perfect Family Getaway at the Buzzard Yurt Our recent stay at the Buzzard Yurt was nothing short of fantastic! My wife, two children, and two dogs had a wonderful time in this beautiful location. The yurt itself was incredibly comfortable and well-equipped, with everything you could possibly need for a cozy stay. The attention to detail was impressive, and it’s clear that the hosts have thought of everything to make guests feel at home. The facilities were top-notch, with the showers being particularly fab – a real treat after a day of exploring the stunning surroundings. The setting is both peaceful and picturesque, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing break. A special mention must go to the hosts, who went above and beyond to accommodate us. I had an interview scheduled during our stay, and they kindly allowed me to use the office in their house, which was a huge help. Their hospitality truly made our stay even more enjoy

Barn Owl yurt

CraigRating, 5 stars33 months ago
This is a very peaceful, nice place to stay. The showers were so much better then expected (not your normal campsite shower block as the water was piping how and they were clean!). The kitchen in large enough to eat in if you want as there is a dinning table, there are 2 camping gas stoves and plenty of cooking pots and plates etc. The Yurt itself was very clean and comfortable, got a bit cold in the night but warmed up once the fire was lit. We had a lovely time and are considering returning next year for a longer stay.

Belmont Yurt - wonderful country and creek views.

BeverleyRating, 5 stars45 months ago
Belmont Yurt is situated in an idyllic spot, tranquil and beautiful and yet a short walk from the beautiful village of Devoran, where there is a friendly, lively pub serving excellent food. Neil is a welcoming and considerate host, there if you need him but happy to leave you to your own devices. He greeted us and showed us around and, very kindly, left the most delicious selection of Cornish cheeses and supplies for a clotted cream tea, sourdough bread, cereals, milk etc. If you are coming without supplies you will plenty to see you through till the next day. Everywhere was beautifully clean and organised. Neil has thought of everything, right down to scissors. The meadow that the Yurt stands in is beautiful, private and has glorious views over Devoran Creek. We would sit for hours just soaking the wonderful ambience in. There's a barbecue we didn't get to use, but will next time. A firepit. Oh, and the most amazing shower I've ever seen outside of Claridges (seriously). The Yurt itself is so welcoming and cosy. The bed was so comfortable that I just slept round the clock a couple of times. It's completely blacked out at night, which is how my bedroom is at home. It was fantastic. And, finally, to the star of the show! The incredible Pepper!. Not only is she as joyful and friendly as other reviews have mentioned. She is, quite literally, the smartest/most well trained dog I've ever encountered. If you're playing fetch with her she will make you take turns, she's unbelievable really. Anyway, can't thank Belmont Yurt crew enough for such a wonderful few days and I've already submitted a booking request for next year. Thanks Neil & Co!

We had a lovely stay with our 2 teenagers and toddler. Lovely views and you feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere. Hot tub was great shame it’s not included in the overall price but really can’t complain, had an absolutely wonderful time. Julia was very helpful when needed. Will definitely be back.

Private Yurt and Hot Tub, Cornwall

AmberRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The yurt was absolutely beautiful. It was quiet and peaceful, such perfect surroundings. The hot tub was lush and everything felt more rewarding after having to make fires and heat up the stove and hot tub yourself! Pen was communicative, friendly, left us some cider and eggs from her chickens which was a fantastic touch! The bed was comfortable and inside of the yurt had all of the utensils bits you’d need for cooking. It was also very spacious inside and outside of the yurt. Lovely walks nearby and pubs too. Can’t wait to go back again!

Cotna Eco-Retreat Yurt, Gilliflower

LizzieRating, 5 stars23 months ago
We had an amazing and peaceful stay at Cotna. Our yurt was in a secluded spot and really spacious and lovely inside. They had thought of most things that we might need like cooker, sink, cooking equipment, sink, washing up liquid etc. We needed our own stuff for the shower which was a lovely outdoor but private shower protected by trees. Sara and others on site were so helpful when we needed last minute supplies like veg for our evening meal. Would highly recommend the food hampers!! Great walk to Portmellon beach took us about 35 mins and was rough underfoot so recommend proper shoes. Short journeys to other great beaches like Gorran Haven and vault beach but beware it is hilly if you’re going on bikes like we did! The only disappointing thing was the mattress.

Lake Yurt at Dartmoor Yurt Holidays

CiaraRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had the BEST time these past few days. The yurt and the facilities were just fantastic. We felt fully 'away from it all' but the camp was well equipped and we were completely comfortable even on the day when it poured down and the wind howled. The farm is incredible. Stunning scenery and beautiful views. Our three daughters were in their element playing on the lake, the rope swing and in the field adjacent with Wendy and Larry's dog who they made best friends with. There was lots to do both on foot from the camp and a short driving distance away. We will definitely be back soon :)

Fern Leaf Roundhouse, East Thorne, Bude

MarkRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We loved our dog friendly stay at the Fern Leaf Roundhouse and we're surprised by the amount of space inside. It was very well insulated and easy to keep warm with a great little wood burner to give us a boost when we needed it. We made good use of the hot tub outside after we got over our initial phobia of clambering in full view of the neighbouring roundhouses. We noticed a few others had some privacy screens which we assume is a work in progress. It was amazing sitting outside in hot tub at night under the stars and the hanging lights only added to this. Would love to visit again.

The Yurt at Chilley Farm Barns

NikhilRating, 5 stars33 months ago
Excellent mini break in a Yurt for a family of camping novices. 2 adults and 2 kids under 10 were well accommodated. We had fun to switch off from gadgets and tv and immerse ourselves in nature. Fresh sweetest plums and eggs every morning laid by friendly hens. The kids really loved it. Ellie and Ian are good hosts and we enjoyed a glass of wine with them in their beautiful main house. Good access to towns and beaches in South Hams. Happy to recommend and especially for star gazers the Yurt is in a dark spot to spot the Milky Way.

Idyllic, secluded yurt in the Cornish countryside

ChrisRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We had a really relaxing stay! The whole place was idyllic, secluded, and peaceful. We slept warm in a very comfortable bed with a log fire and the sounds of wildlife around us, played pool and cooked in the barn cottage, and the bathroom was spacious and shower amazing. We cooked over an open fire pit and sat around the bonfire, everywhere we looked there were little characterful details, and we found it the ideal location to visit both north and south Cornwall. Rufus greeted us warmly and made sure we knew to contact him for any reason then left us to enjoy ourselves. One day we’d love to return to the yurt and cobb cottage, a real find!

(King/Twin) Luxury Cabin at Zen Jungle Retreat

KatyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We absolutely loved our stay at Zen Jungle and are already planning our next trip back! Jason, Hannah and baby Bodhi were lovely. The shamanic breathwork was incredible and the soundbath wonderful. Lakes gorgeous and took a dip in from the sauna. Booked the firepit for the evening and had a bbq, lounged in the hammocks and played table tennis. We stayed in Moon Gazer, which was such a cosy gorgeous cabin and even took a bath outside in the rain. We made the most of every moment there and didn’t leave until check out. It’s a serene, beautiful place 💛

Yur-‘tis A cosy little yurt @ Welcombe x

ClareRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A lovely few days in the cosy yurt with clean facilities and peaceful campsite. Lots of little touches in the yurt with tea and coffee provided and a hot water bottle. I didn’t have the breakfast hamper but friends did and it looked great. The campsite runs along a main A road so you do hear the road traffic but it’s not too bad. Great location for exploring the local area.

Wanson Nomadic Yurt

IanRating, 5 stars35 months ago
We loved everything about Atlantic Horizons. From the friendly greeting by Alex on our arrival to the stunning scenery with sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean each evening during our 3 night stay. It’s location is perfect for trips to Clovelly, Port Isaac, Tintegal, Boscastle, and of course Bude which was only 15-20 mins drive. This was the first time we ever experienced glamping and it’s without a doubt going to be a tough one to beat! We stayed in the Wanson Yurt which was comfortable, clean and spacious. The views from the bed were out of this world. We felt so relaxed staying here and the eco friendly aspects of the site are amazing! It was quiet even though the site was almost fully occupied and everyone respected each other’s privacy. There was a real sense of calm and tranquility which we thoroughly enjoyed as we needed this break to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Sipping local ciders and toasting marshmallows whilst watching the sun setting was a dream! We brought our dog with us and he equally enjoyed the freedom of the large dog run which is a lovely addition to the camp site. We even extended our stay by an extra night, that’s how amazing this place is!! Overall, a truly wonderful experience and we will definitely return

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Toby’s yurt! It was the perfect getaway for both the kids and the adults — such a unique and beautiful setting. The space was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped, with thoughtful touches throughout. The kids had an amazing time exploring and enjoying the outdoors, and we loved how peaceful and scenic everything was. Toby was the best host — friendly, welcoming, and full of helpful tips to make our stay even better. You can really tell he cares about creating a great experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to relax and unwind. Highly recommend!
