Island holiday rentals in Southern United States

We loved our week at Serendipity! The view from the porch is gorgeous, the interior was comfy and cozy and had everything you needed. The location is central to the island, and the stairs into the ocean were awesome. We hope to be back soon!

This place is absolutely fantastic. The garden has access to a gorgeous beach which is basically deserted any time of the day. The house is big and very comfy. The only thing missing is a washing machine for the clothes (which can be a bit complicated especially when you travel with a baby) Otherwise our 2 weeks stay have been a dream and Rick has been really reactive to any questions we had. Another great thing is a big notebook with all the tips and adresses at disposal in the house. You have everything in it and certainly don’t need anything else to explore the island.

This place is absolutely stunning. The owner is incredibly friendly, the rooms are spotless and well-equipped, and the beach is right in front of the apartments. There are also beautiful cabanas overlooking the ocean, which made for the perfect spot to relax and watch the sunrise. What we loved most, though, was how peaceful and remote the location is - there are very few tourists in the area. We often walked along the beach for an hour without seeing another person.

Wonderful weekend getaway! We enjoyed the lake, the pool and having deers around. The place is clean and the host was very responsive!

I travel a lot for work. I always look for peaceful places that feel safe and have beautiful surroundings (in the event that I get to enjoy them on a work trip). Mo was a clear and responsive host. Parking is so easy in this neighborhood. The space is even more spacious in person than I expected. Thanks, Mo!

This was by far the best Airbnb experience we have ever had. Bev and Jim were great with communication and the Caretakers Stephanie and Randy went over and above to make our stay amazing. If you enjoy cooking, the kitchen was well stocked, with all the pots pans knives and utensils you could need. I cannot say enough great things about our stay. Will definitely be going back and will definitely be staying at Lillian's Bungalows!

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was well stocked and included many kitchen utensils we wouldn’t have expected and other finds such as a beach bag and even ice packs. There was even a loaf of fresh local bread provided which was delicious. The location was perfect and we enjoyed the space both inside and out. The only complaint was that we wished we would’ve been able to stay longer. Our group would recommend the stay.

Sundance is paradise! The beach is awesome and a very short walk to the beach. The house was perfect for the us which we traveled with another couple. It had two master bedrooms with queen beds and 2 master bathrooms on separate ends of the house. Each bedroom had a French door that opens to the beach. You can literally open the doors lay in your bed and listen to the waves. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need to cook a meal. Leslie was very helpful.

This was our third trip to the island, and by far, the best stay we've had! Cat was incredibly responsive and provided great insights. The house itself was beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped, especially the kitchen, which had everything we needed. The king-size bed was a treat and we loved watching the hermit crabs and lizards roam around daily. The beach was peaceful and private, perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed kayaking and snorkeling, both of which were fantastic. Power outages were minimal (to be expected on the island), and while water pressure on cisterns can be a bit low, it's nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, we had a perfect week in our favorite place and would highly recommend this property!

This was a short trip for a bachelor/bachelorette party. Everyone who was coming was so impressed and was like we wish we were staying here longer than one night! Mary was very responsive and even popped out and said welcome when we arrived! Definitely would recommend this place for a fun get away! The bonfire was definitely a recommended opportunity! Quiet, secluded setting with beautiful view of lake. Relaxing in hammock and sitting by campfire is medicine for the soul.

Katty was a wonderful host! The area was exactly as pictured and described, we had everything one would need. I loved the outside shower! It had a wonderful tropical feel and not worried what so ever about privacy, you were totally alone. We spent evening in the quiet enjoying the peaceful surroundings! Many beaches, activities and excellent restaurants for foodies like me, all within a short drive or walking distance! Cannot wait to visit this Venice Tropical Oasis again! Where to start… this place is truly special. If you’re looking for a fancy resort this isn’t it, but if you want your own private insane white/pink sandy beach, local charm, and serenity this is your vacation. We were there 6 nights and saw one other person on the beach the entire time. We walked on the private beach 2 miles every morning followed by a swim in the ocean and a shower in the outdoor shower loaded with local shampoo and body wash made by a teacher on the island. We walked to pascals and had dinner and hung out with Sammy, and searched for other beaches only to realize ours was the best. It rained and we played cards inside our romantic cottage and listened to the waves. This is a special place and we will be back.

This air bnb was so lovely!!! It was so private & quiet & we felt so at home! Super clean, great air conditioning, and host was very kind and responsive. Their friendly cat greeted us often, & was so sweet. This doesn't reflect on the listing itself, just the nature of the location: We are in our early 40s & not in amazing shape, so we didnt opt to use the kindly provided bikes, but walked or drove. While it was tucked back in beautiful trees, the treehouse was a 45 minute walk to the nearest coffee shop and 30 min walk to the beach (though they did provide a keurig!). If you imagine yourself easily walking for coffee each morning, or lazily accessing the beach with little effort, this location is a bit too far out to be lazy lol. We were without a car for a few days so it made travel hard and ubers added up. - Again that was totally our personal issue. If you comfortably bike & don't have a ton of luggage, this is the place for you

If you're looking for a Bahamas getaway, you've found it at Kestrel Cottage. The space is fresh, clean and inviting, and the hosts are very friendly. You'll have everything you need to relax and be comfortable in this charming beach villa. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with equipment and cooking essentials. Lots of fresh towels and linens. The views and breeze are amazing. Walk down to the dock for a swim in the ocean and enjoy a refreshing outside shower afterward. A short walk to Pete’s Pub & Gallery, or utilize one of the kayaks to paddle over. Dock your boat right out your backdoor to easily explore the rest of the Abaco Islands. We’ll definitely be back!

A great vacation for our family & dogs! Chase’s place is very beautiful, private, and peaceful. The house had most things we needed, the bedrooms were comfy, and seating areas were perfect for a family of 6. Location to the beach was great, however we had a good bit of rain and the private beach access became quite the marsh so we opted for one farther away. We loved exploring the history-rich island in our golf carts and meeting the locals / visiting their shops & restaurants! Pack light and enjoy disconnecting for a bit! You’re on island time ✨

Tim and Michelle were wonderful and always available. We had a very peaceful and rejuvenating vacation which is exactly what we all needed. The home and location was perfect! We really enjoyed having coffee in the morning on the porch and falling asleep to the sound of the waves! Thank you so much for opening your home to us.

Beautiful private island retreat! We loved staying at this townhouse and it was in a perfect location. Short walk to the beach and this unit comes with a golf cart so there’s no need to fuss with a rental. I cannot say enough great things about this rental! It’s even more charming in person! We loved this little home! Super easily accessible but it’s also private, unlike most of Sarasota. The host responded very quickly to any questions or issues! Definitely worth the cost! We will definitely be back!!

The place was very nice. The pool was the best part. The beach is gorgeous as all beaches are in Eleuthera. I thought there would be a path to the beach without going across the street but you also could drive about two minutes. That was the best way to go. Everything about the house is very good. It was a relaxing vacation.

Our stay at Cayo Loco was truly amazing. Off the beaten path, in a private paradise. Yet close enough to town for groceries, restaurants, etc. The accommodations were just right - all details covered, the location unbeatable. Loved the views from every window all day long, the chaise lounge on the porch, the outdoor shower, the beach.
