Chalet holiday rentals in Southern United States

Loved staying in this unique house with my family! The mountain roads to get there could be a little intimidating for someone who has never really driven in the mountains before (I’m originally from FL), but you can adapt quickly. The bed upstairs was ridiculously comfortable, the house was clean, the area was very peaceful/quiet, and you’re fairly close to everything. I would definitely recommend staying here!

We are so thankful to Jason and his family for sharing their special place with us. We immediately felt right at home and had more than enough room for all 3 adults. We were immediately blown away with the breathtaking river right in the front yard! We never saw anyone else on the river the whole trip so it felt like we had it all to ourselves too. We started our day listening to the river while drinking coffee on their beautiful deck. And, then later in the day, we enjoyed tubing down the river, leaving from a nearby bridge and ending the trip back at the property. I have a service dog, named Charlie, that did everything with us too (including floating down the river) and I think he enjoyed it as much, or more, than we did too. We wish we had made the trip a little longer because we never got a chance to use the hot tub on the deck, or the fire pit, etc. We hope Jason’s family will have us again because we’re already dreaming about coming back again next summer!

Beautiful experience home is clean jacuzzi is clean and comfortable I love it and would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Ruidoso and want a relaxing experience

We would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to friends. I love that the place is very private. There was plenty of room for me and my husband and our four teenagers. It was close to Helen.

Had a good time even though weather not great. Lots of card games. Lengthy drive if you want to go to places north on 321 as took us 48 minutes to get to Marina due to the road situation so know where you need to go and plan accordingly though road might open soon.

Barefoot Chalet is wonderful +++. The location is perfect and private. The amenities couldn't have been better. Perfectly clean, quiet and very well priced. I highly recommend you put this on your visit list.

Heaven on earth. My wife and I recently had our honeymoon here at firnew studio i don't think we could of found anywhere better. we love the mountains, and they certainly did not disappoint. the Shenandoah region is absolutely magical. Trish and David ensured my wife and I had everything we could possibly need. every need small and big was met promptly and with pleasure. they provided us with local recommendations as well as tips and information about the surrounding areas. the property was everything the pictures and descriptions described and even more. the river was beautiful and perfect for swimming the walking trails were stunning and well kept, the farm fresh eggs were absolutely delightful. The ponds were loaded with decent sized sunfish and large mouth bass. our full time guide Louie the great pyrenees felt like family to us, he walked with us everywhere we went and he had the most amazing manners, we wanted to dognap him so badly lol. the studio itself was cozy and perfect.

Chyenne's Chalet was the most charming and thoughtfully crafted place we've stayed at on our many trips to the Santa Rosa Beach area. The entire home and property has so much character. The amenities available at Chyenne's place offer endless opportunities to create so many beautiful memories. The private dock with kayaks and three outdoor deck levels with so many fun things to do at the house was by far the best part of staying here. It was just so peaceful and relaxing yet close to all of the action. Beds were comfortable and the master bath was gorgeous! I would have been happy just hanging out at the Chalet the entire time. It was awesome and would love to go back and stay there again.

This place was absolutely awesome! We had a group of 10 girls and all fit very comfortably in the house. Everything was super clean and tidy! The beds were extremely comfortable and the linens were very clean too. Parking was super easy, we had a couple girls park at the pool listed and had no issues. Overall highly recommend for a group of 10!

We were a combined bunch of 8 adults and a 3 yr old. We had an incredible time, despite having a week of mostly rainy weather. There is plenty to do in the house and it is very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with small appliances and utensils. The house is kid-friendly and has all you need to entertain the kids and accommodate toddlers. The location is quiet and secluded, but close enough to a variety of attractions to keep you busy in good weather. We had a precious time and were sad to leave. Jenny was very communicative and responsive. She provided us with all the details we needed to enjoy the stay.

There were 10 of us plus a dog in our group. We all agreed “Best Vacation Ever” and wished we had more time because there are so many things to do! We loved being able to walk out of the house and hike, the views were breathtaking and we had rain, sleet and sunny days all in a 5-d span. It was magical and can’t wait to return. Joel was an exceptional host and we can’t thank him enough for allowing us to gather as a family in such beautiful surroundings!

We took our family here for a vacation which we do every few years and I couldn’t have been more pleased with everything. The house was everything we expected it to be and the views are AMAZING! We have stayed in a lot of Airbnb’s and I can honestly say Andrew’s responsiveness was the best I have ever encountered. Would highly recommend this location to anyone!

Stunning views! Located so close to the national park that we did multiple day trips. Plenty of room for our whole group of 11 and the kids loved the loft upstairs! Hot tub on the deck was an added bonus. The house is close to many wonderful restaurants and shops.

I may be slightly biased in my regard for the incredibleness of this cabin, as this is where my soon-to-be-husband proposed(!!!!), but it was a fantastic getaway. Incredible views are available from the kitchen, main living space, upstairs loft, and lower level (including the hot tub). Great access to nearby trails for quick hikes, and we took a morning trip to Warm Springs to visit the Omni Homestead Warm Springs, which was well worth the trip! You won't have ANY cellphone service, so be prepared to be unplugged from the world. Lauren was responsive for check-in needs and other questions/support. I am so glad we got to spend time with friends and family at this lodge!

Such a beautiful place to stay!! Alan had everything we needed like dish soap and towels out for us already. The house was very clean. Our only issue was finding the house because our GPS didn't take us to the right spot, but the pictures of the house in the listing are accurate and helped us find which one! Great spot! Great host!

Our group of 13 which had 3 families with 7 kids really enjoyed this house. Our favorite part was the location to skiing. Although not officially a ski-in/ski-out, the slopes were within walking distance and much easier for our younger skiers to access. The house was clean, fully stocked and provided enough beds for our large group. Would definitely recommend bringing your 4WD vehicle if snow is predicted during your stay as the driveway is a little steep. We plan to book again for our next Hidden Valley trip!

Absolutely loved our stay at the A-Frame for a birthday weekend getaway! The privacy and stunning views were truly unbeatable. April and Chase were incredibly responsive and helpful with any questions I had. I’ll definitely be back in the future, highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic escape!

Jerry was an incredible host. He was very helpful and his home is nice and cozy. We loved every second of our stay. The dock was so beautiful. The home is even nicer in person. And the price is so affordable. We loved our stay. Thanks so much for the wonderful trip Jerry!

Our family of 6 had no trouble stretching out and relaxing in this chalet. They think of everything here and provide all of the essentials needed. We loved our stay in Innsbrook and especially Ella’s Roost with the early check in and late check out!! You get so much extra time that way. Our kids loved fishing off the deck in back and bonfires at night. We had so many encounters with the friendly deer and even had a baby deer sleep overnight in the yard. Innsbrook was a lovely, secluded, community with a ton of amenities to explore and felt like we still missed out on exploring more. We had some great weather in our time there. Note, probably obvious to some, but we picked up some ticks on us after one of our nature walks (Meadows Hiking Trail seemed to be the culprit). Just be careful and check when you’re done!

What a beautiful place! So peaceful and relaxing. The host provided a bunch of snacks, that of course we loved and our kids devored. Its the little things like that, that make the stay nice. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. They had a bunch of toys, card games, and puzzles for the kids to enjoy. Innsbrook is a beautiful place, we enjoyed all the fishing, not only on the private pond on the property, but as well as on the main lake. We enjoyed swimming on the main lake and enjoyed the paddle boat on the pond. The hot tub was nice and ready to go for use! We would recommend!

We had a relaxing retreat and recommend this spot to anybody looking to get away and slow down.

This is an excellent home for staying near the slopes! The beds were super comfortable, the welcome basket, kid friendly amenities, and provided essentials were very much appreciated. We would love to stay here again.

Booked for our Honeymoon. It felt like our own little slice of paradise — peaceful, private, and right on the water. We spent so much time outside just soaking it all in. Most of our days were spent kayaking, paddle boarding, and exploring the lake in the paddle boat. It was the kind of fun that made us feel like kids again. The house itself was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. Waking up to the view of the water and ending the night with a sunset over the lake made every moment feel special. We really appreciated how quiet and relaxing everything was — no stress, no schedule, just us. We’ll always remember this place and are already talking about coming back for anniversaries. If you're looking for a romantic, unplugged escape with lots to do (or not do), this is it.
