Holiday rentals with a kayak in Southern Indiana

It was an amazing experience. Rodney was great and actually walked us around at check in and showed us anything we may need to know. Everything about our stay was great, from check in to check out we had a great time and it is well worth the price. There is so much to do at the air bnb as well as the surrounding areas, it is the perfect location for wanting to stay in French Lick and wanting to go to the resort for the casino or go golfing. It is located about 8 minutes from the casino and the golf courses, but the atmosphere makes it feel like you are hours away. It is quiet and you feel safe and completely by yourself.

Anthony’s place was so clean and cozy. Really comfortable furniture and all of the amenities you could ask for. Definitely give 5 stars!!! Can’t wait to return 🙂

Hawks Ridge was amazing!! Such a beautiful home, both inside and out. We were in town for a graduation at IU, and Susan’s home was very convenient to Bloomington. The home is secluded, private, very peaceful and an amazing place to stay. There were four in our party and we had plenty of room. Susan was incredibly helpful and responsive.

We had our family reunion at this place. Ages 1-90 enjoyed gathering at this property.

The home was warm, welcoming, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It was spotless upon arrival and thoughtfully arranged—clearly set up with care and attention to detail. Bobbi was incredibly kind and accommodating. She went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home, even leaving a few special touches that made my grand babies smile. Communication was smooth, and she was always quick to respond to any questions. The neighborhood was peaceful and safe, with easy access to a beautiful view, with fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and a relaxing around the fire with family. We made great memories here and would absolutely love to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing family-friendly stay

This place was good for our family and we definitely had a better time here than we would have had in a hotel. I will say that, when I see “entire house” on a listing, I do not expect to be sharing an entrance or dwelling with the owners. I’m sure they are great people, but personally, when I use AirBnB, I am looking for a greater degree of privacy than I felt we had knowing the owners were under the same roof. Overall, the upstairs house was lovely, clean and beautifully furnished with a great location.

Austin was a great host and super accommodating. This was our second stay at the house and it has worked out perfectly for us. We would absolutely stay there again.

This was a great place for the kids. Kayaks were available with full equipment and life jackets. The fish were biting. Donny kept in touch quickly. They had a ball.

We loved our long weekend at the cottage! It was such a peaceful setting that allowed us to relax and recharge. The lake-view from the deck, in the morning and evenings was awesome. It was a little too chilly for water activities, but we look forward to returning in the summer and taking full advantage of ‘lake life!’ The host was so accommodating. We loved the location in proximity to the daily activities we were doing-Creation Museum/Newport, visiting distilleries in Frankfort and the local Ark Encounter.

This place was a great place to have a mini vacation for Spring Break. The ponds had ducks, geese, fish, and a cute otter that was always swimming around. We saw the goose nest and the next day there were her eggs. The boys loved hiking around, fishing, and doing s'mores over the fire pit. The house was decorated nicely and had plenty of space. There was an amazing game room that I must have forgotten was included, so it was a wonderful surprise for the boys. We went to the Children's museum and to a Trampoline Park. Ate out a couple times and cooked in a few times. Overall, this was an amazing trip thanks to the property, amenities, host, and the fun activities Indianapolis had to offer.

This is the 2nd time that our family has stayed here, and I would highly recommend it if you enjoy playing in a lake. We're a pretty active family and really enjoy swimming, and this lakehouse is perfect for us in that there is lake access right on the property. We enjoyed the use of the charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal and lighter) and appreciated that the kitchen had all we needed for a 3-night stay. I had forgotten that there is no WiFi or cellular service, but it was a nice break from everything in the outside world!

If you are looking for a remote getaway off the beaten path, then this is for you! Clean and fully furnished house right on the water has everything you need to relax for days. If you don't feel like going anywhere, bring your meals because you are a little ways from civilization. If eating out is more your style, use Tanya's helpful guide to order take out or eat in an area establishment. Tanya is helpful and responsive; she offered clear directions for getting there, checking in and out and everything in between. We traveled in the off-peak season so the outdoor area wasn't fully opened for the summer, but we made do using the provided air pumps and cleaning supplies. We would definitely recommend this for a quiet, relaxing respite from the chaos of busy everyday life!

Our stay was a week at the end of May 2025. The Cicadas were loud and active. The heavy rains and high lake levels caused logs and debris to basically block our dock so we couldn’t use the provided kayaks or paddle boards… just Mother Nature. We did enjoy a couple of bonfires in the evenings with plenty of firewood provided. S’mores were also supplied along with forks. There were a lot of sitting areas on the porch and decks and yard. The cottage was clean with a spacious living room and kitchen, lovely decorated with plenty of dishes and linens supplied. There is a dollar store and an ice-cream store 10 minutes away. All in all our family enjoyed this cottage.

We LOVED Tracy's cottage on the lake!!! It was SO INCREDIBLY PEACEFUL, we didn't want to leave. Our absolute favorite part was the screened-in deck; we spent all our time at the cottage out there, even when it was raining! We live close to many lakes at home, yet we couldn't believe how quiet this community was. The cottage itself was squeaky clean, organized, and labeled so well. We could have just relaxed at the cottage the whole trip, but everything we wanted to check out (the Ark, Creation Museum, Beans, Hansie's, downtown Williamstown) was close and easily driveable. We'd come back in a heartbeat! Tracy is a lovely, generous, responsive, and all-around excellent hostess!

My stay at the Carriage House could not have been better! I was in town for a funeral and needed a comfortable place to stay while I attended the service and visited family. The host Lisa was so responsive and thoughtful, even making sure the lights were on so I felt welcomed upon my evening arrival. The home is spotless and exactly as shown in the pictures. I have traveled all over and stayed in many Airbnbs, and the Carriage House is by far the best one yet! This home exceptionally well appointed with amenities and thoughtful touches. I was traveling alone this time but have two children who are often with me, had they been here for this trip they would have had a blast with all of the games and kids amenities as well. Stayed here for a winter work retreat with 12 people. Communication was good, had some Internet challenges upon arrival but the owner resolved that very quickly! It’s an old hunting lodge, so if you don’t mind being one with nature and need loads of space, this is your place! The listing is very accurate, so read carefully- lots of stink bugs and japanese beatles. Thank you for a great stay, it met our needs (and beds are very comfortable)!

There was 8 men from 62 to 75. Played golf all week, cooked at the cabin. Very private, comfortable, beautiful. We all loved this Airbnb. One of our best stays from FL to TN and back to Indiana. We've stayed in several Airbnb we loved this one. Thank you, Apolonia,

Michael is a great host! We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. It has a beautiful view of the lake. It was comfortable with lots of amenities. We would go back!

This place was perfect for my wife and I to get away and have a relaxing weekend, fishing and exploring the area. Would definitely recommend this location for a couple or small family. We would definitely return.

Gary’s place has turned from a last-minute getaway our very first year visiting into an annual retreat for us. Always a relaxing, beautiful getaway in a well-stocked and lovingly maintained cabin.

Beautiful, private place to relax and enjoy Bourbon County! The kitchen came fully loaded with everything you need and the full sized refrigerator was nice as well. My only regret is that we didn't have enough time to take advantage of the kayaks! My husband did through a few casts in the pond and caught a few fishes.

Graduation party for my grand-daughter...kids had fun at the fire pit and walking around the woods. Amenities were good. Recommended.
