Kid-friendly holiday rentals in South Congress, Austin

If you're traveling to the Austin area, I HIGHLY recommend booking this AirBnB! It is so conveniently located (less than a 10 minute drive to downtown, or you could take a Lime scooter!) while also being away from the hustle and bustle. Lauren also goes above and beyond and provides a doc full of recommendation of things to do and places to eat which was so helpful!! Definitely one of the best AirBnBs I've stayed at in recent memory. Highly recommend!

We loved spending our Anniversary weekend at the Pool House. The home was beautiful and spacious for two people. We loved having the pool and covered patio right at our door. The bed is extremely comfortable and the bathroom not being separate was very convenient. We were able to easily walk to many restaraunts and bars which we enjoyed. As endurance athletes we especially enjoyed the 20m pool for swimming laps and close access to running trails around the lake. Ally was super responsive to our requests, and the whole experience was just what we wanted for a relaxing getaway.

We had a great stay at this home and really appreciated how communicative the host was-always quick to respond to any questions. The home felt very “lived in,” which we actually appreciated for a kid-friendly stay. The photos were accurate overall, though the exterior was more overgrown than expected and the trampoline looked a bit “play at your own risk.” That said, our kids had an amazing time with the seemingly endless toys, and it was a huge relief not having to bring bulky items like a stroller or a Pack ‘n Play, since they’re here. The beds were very comfortable, the A/C kept us cool during a hot Austin weekend, and having a good washer/dryer made life easier. The location is definitely a strong point—easy access to some great local spots, including Launderette and Bufalina, both of which we’d highly recommend. Check-out was simple. Our only real suggestion would be a deeper cleaning refresh to match the overall comfort and utility. This place is equipped for families!

I had such an amazing experience. The space was very welcoming and peaceful. Just across the street you there was a local artist working on a beautiful peacock chair that now sits outside for anyone to enjoy. I plan on staying here every time I visit Austin!

Great location. Easy to get to downtown Austin, or to COTA for the race fans. Fun to check out the Austin City Limits concerts at the Moody Theater. Good Chinese food at 1st Wok.

Jane was more than accommodating and went the extra mile to bring my pup some treats on our second day of the trip. My puppy had found some thing to disassemble while I was out on business and Jane an agreeable and negotiable as I promised to pay for anything that needed to be replaced. She didn’t even request any amount as to what I need to pay so I paid what I deemed a fair amount would be and she was more than agreeable with what I had offered. 10-10 would definitely recommend and would stay here anytime I was in town.

I had a great stay at this Airbnb! The place was spotless—super clean and well-maintained, which made it feel really comfortable and welcoming. One of the best parts was how easy it was to access—being on the first floor made coming and going a breeze. Everything was just as described, and I’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

I spent almost 2 months staying in the apartment. It has an excellent location, strong and quick to cool AC, and plenty quiet apartment complex. Beyond maybe some miscellaneous silverware, the kitchen had everything I needed to cook and eat. Although I usually brought home takeout from the yummy restaurants around Austin! One additional benefit, the driverless Waymo cars pick up in that neighborhood and take you all around downtown. Super fun!

This place is in a great location. Lots of great restaurants just up the road. The place itself is so nice and comfortable. The back porch is super private and perfect for that evening drink and morning coffee. Would definitely be staying again in the future.

I had booked this place at the last minute, and I was carrying a few boxes with me, I am truly thankful for Kim helped me to let me in earlier I don’t have to carry boxes and waiting outside ! This Airbnb has the best location. Walking distance to Zilker park and downtown. Additionally, with the separate entrance, you don’t need to enter other house. It’s on the second floor, you have all the privacy to yourself, how convenient! The room look exactly like in the picture, very clean , neat and nicely decorated. I had a pleasant stay there.

We were looking for a spot just outside of Austin and this was exceptional. The price was fantastic, the spot was spacious and clean, the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and most importantly it was only 15 minutes from downtown Austin. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable stay!

Very enjoyable stay, I would happily stay again. Kitchen was well equipped with spices and coffee and sugar, even avocado oil... which makes things much easier for a visitor. Apartment was very comfortable, TV is massive. Location was great. Everything was clean and well presented.

Great value in an excellent location. Check in was a bit tricky. Complex is like a maze but the screenshots provided during checkin with directions was helpful. We did get lost leaving the unit a couple times but after some time you get acclimated to the area. Never used our vehicle as there was tons to do in walking distance of the unit.

Had a wonderful experience here! I can with my husband, baby and dog. The location was AMAZING, we loved the ease of being able to walk to the springs and to the park. It’s tucked away in a neighborhood which made it feel very safe and low-key, But still easily accessible to restaurants and downtown. The backyard was a big plus with having a dog (but also Austin is just so dog friendly it was a breeze). We really enjoyed our time here and would love to stay again if ever back in the area. The hosts Jess and Kevin were also very responsive and easy to get ahold of, checked in during our stay to make sure it was all up to par! I really appreciated their kindness.

This place was great! Great location, easy access to all the Austin spots. The roof top pool was great! I would suggest bringing a large pool towel or Turkish blanket as the chairs up there are a little dirty, which has nothing to do with the host. Outside that I would book this location again.

The location was unbeatable—just steps from Lady Bird Lake with stunning views and easy access to great walking trails, restaurants, and downtown attractions. The apartment was clean, modern, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. Communication with the host was smooth and prompt, which made check-in and check-out a breeze. The valet was always prompt and polite. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic spot in the heart of the city.
