Cottage holiday rentals in San Diego

We have stayed in this community many MANY times. I will say this.... You can't beat the location! The views and accessability to the beach, pool, parking was phenomenal! The beach toys and extra fans were great! The artwork in the unit was awesome and the owners brought a new table for the patio that was really nice! On the other hand.... this not the most updated condo, not the best equipt kitchen, and not the comfiest beds we have ever had in this community. For the extra money we would likely choose another unit next time.

This location is by far my favorite during my many visits to SD. Cutest cottage with the perfect location. Walkable to some amazing coffee shops and to the beach! Although the street has a lot of foot traffic, the cottage was very peaceful. It was never noisy and parking was never an issue for myself and guests that visited. Kristine and Clint were very responsive and gave simple instructions for us. This is a great place to relax and unplug! Thank you for an amazing time!

Really enjoyed our stay. Lovely neighborhood. ( neighbor cut me one of her roses)Easy to get around. Ocean Beach so close. I would like to recommend that some safety bars placed in the shower. It was slippery Also, microwave was difficult to get at on top of the fridge for us short er folks. But the stay was wonderful. Would recommend it to others!

This place is incredible! The beds are so comfy, the location is ideal to the bay and an area restaurants etc! The outdoor space is lovely. And the pool and hot tub are awesome! We did not want to leave! Aurrora is a wonderful host too. You can’t go wrong with this place!

A true coastal haven indeed! This place was the perfect weekend getaway! Just a short walk to the beach with tons of great shops and cafes nearby—everything in Ocean Beach is so accessible. Having overnight parking made it easy to explore more of San Diego, from paddle boarding in the bay with super convenient gear rentals to quick trips to SeaWorld and downtown for the nightlife. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing stay with friends. The spa was a highlight—clean, cozy, and perfect for winding down after a full day. Plus, our pup loved the private patio with a pet relief area and had a blast at the nearby dog park and dog beach. Highly recommend for couples, families, or friends looking to enjoy the beach life with all the comforts of home. We’d absolutely come back—and don’t miss grabbing some Hoagies while you’re here!

There is so much to do for adults and kids. We Enjoyed the peaceful beauty of the outdoors and sat around the fire pit after getting out of the hot tub. We walked the trails, played with the animals as well as the kids playing on the trampoline, tire swings and zip line. We also learned that there were a few locations on the property and we plan to come back next year with more family. We really enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay here, the location was perfect and there were so many extra beach items for us to use. It’s a cute, cozy and safe home in walking distance to so many great places. Andrea and Larry were great, we would love to come stay again sometime!

Great house with all the necessities for a family of 4 with 2 young kids. North coast village was convenient and centrally located for our trips to San Diego, LEGOLAND, Temecula and Zoo safari park. We loved being close to the beach and appreciated the beach gear and towels that were provided.

Was a great spot to be for a few nights and Kamilo was very kind and helpful! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a getaway that’s clean, comfortable, and close to the beach.

We fully enjoyed our stay at Russell's bungalow. He was very welcoming, responsive to our needs, and always available. The place was well represented by the description and in the photos. The bungalow is in a very nice and quite neighborhood and close to the beach and restaurants.

Quiet and private accomodations just as described in the listing. The layout is ideal with a well-stocked open kitchen and living room, separate bedroom, and clean modern bathroom. Extra bonus is the large patio out front and buffered by an adjacent backyard between the cottage and the main house in front. I'd recommend this place to other travelers and would certainly stay there again.

Was fabulous. Far more noisy than expected & was uneasy about the gate not being secured. But these things are so minor compared to the accommodations. We loved it.

We had a great time in Ocean Beach, his place is super close to the beach and all kinds of restaurants and target. it is not loud at all at night time. the guy next door at the cycle shop is nice. I felt safe being there with my kids. I read reviews so brought my own toaster, no big deal. Smelled and felt clean. my kids liked the pull out couch. The only suggestion I would make for the owner is clean up the outside area where we park it's realy dumpy looking. But will definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay in this cute home. Victor was extremely proactive in making sure we had everything we needed for our time in San Diego. The home is situated in an eclectic neighborhood with easy access to a Ralph’s grocery store.

I had an exceptional stay at Lach's beautifully maintained home in San Diego. The bright living room, fully stocked kitchen, and outdoor seating area with canyon views made it a perfect retreat. The self-check-in process was smooth, and the reserved parking spot was convenient. Lach's communication was prompt and efficient. Highly recommend!

Lauri’s place is a perfect Encinitas getaway! We loved the patio and watching the sunsets every night. It was very cozy for our little family. We will definitely be back!

A perfect place for a weekend getaway! It truly is in a prime location. Everything is easily walkable. Safe neighborhood. So many phenomenal restaurants to choose from. George was an excellent host. Hotel quality linens. Clean. With plenty of amenities to make it feel like home. We would easily stay here again.

I found this place after an extensive search for a reasonably priced rental that was near the water and also accommodating to my party of 3. The cottage itself is quite nice and very clean, with comfortable furnishings, and a great location. Ken and Bri are very gracious hosts, communicating with them was very easy and they made sure my daughters and I were comfortable throughout our short, but wonderful stay. I think this is one of the most pleasant AirBNB stays I have had over the years. Definitely going to keep this one for future rentals!

Loved this beautiful little home. Nice and quiet neighborhood. Great location with everything you want and need within a close proximity. The remodeled kitchen was the main attraction here. Has everything you need. Loved having the convenience of a washer and dryer. Extremely comfortable bed. To top it off, there was nothing better than kicking my feet up at the end of the day in the private back patio. Great communication with the host. Very pleased with my stay here.

Janet & Scott, and the Mission Beach Villas staff were excellent hosts, very well organized and professional, and very quick to respond. The house was awesome, but the location was even better and is the top reason I chose it. San Diego is of course a beautiful town, and Mission Beach is amazing - I wish I could live there. But the best thing is the house is a minutes walk away from both the ocean and the bay, and you can't get that in many places. And I mean literally less than 1 minute walk to the bay and maybe 2 to the ocean. And both the ocean and the bay sides have these awesome long paved walkways, perfect for biking and walking - another reason why I chose it. Thanks Janet & Scott 😃

The cottage was as beautiful as the pictures. It was very comfortable, with ac and great hot water and an antique bath tub . It truly felt like home. We were 4 adult women and were very happy with the space; 3 bedrooms . The beds were comfy.We lacked nothing. There was even a first aid kid which came in handy. Thank you! The neighborhood location is superb; on the Bay side and a couple of blocks away from the beach. We did a lot of walking to Trader Joe’s nearby, experiencing local restaurants and shopping…and we also uber into town, La Jolla, Old Town, San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, and The Friendship Japanese Gardens. The cottage is also nearby public transportation and has a garage which we did not use but is a rare amenity in San Diego. We had a wonderful time at Molly‘s and would love to come back! Thanks again!

Cute spot right by the beaches. We loved being so close to both the bay and ocean. The store next door was super helpful to grab snacks or anything we forgot, the owner was very friendly. The funky lemon cafe two doors away was also fantastic. We grabbed coffee/fresh juice there every morning and got lunch/pastries a number of times as well. The banana muffins and turkey sandwich are incredible. The staff was fantastic and really made us feel at home in the neighborhood. I was pleasantly surprised at how safe and family friendly the neighborhood felt. The house is right on the main road and it’s definitely a bit loud at times, we aren’t used to street noise at night so brought a sound machine and slept just fine. Easy parking in a big lot is a nice short walk away or street parking if you luck out, just be aware of the street sweeping times… we almost got a ticket one morning. The place comes with a bunch of beach toys, boogie board and towels which we appreciated too
