Windmill holiday rentals in Portugal

This stay was an absolute dream!!! Couldn’t have dreamed of a better place to stay in during our time in Ericeira. The location had a beautiful view of the water, and was private so it was very quiet and peaceful but only a short walk into town for all the restaurants. The hosts were so lovely and welcoming, we felt right at home , and they were very responsive and helpful whenever we messaged them. We loved every second of our stay and can’t wait to come back in the future!

We spent four days in this beautifully converted windmill right by the port of Praia. The village center, the beach and the supermarket are only a short walk away. The port installations with their industrial charm spoil the otherwise beautiful location a bit, but it‘s quiet regardless. The views of the mountains are fantastic, as is the experience of living in an old windmill. The kitchenette is small and not the most practical, but caters to basic needs. Capsule coffee maker, microwave and oven are provided. The beds in both bedrooms were super comfy. It can get cool, but there are electric radiators in both bedrooms. The living room (a few easily manageable stairs) feels a bit like a museum with old appliances around. A narrow spiral staircase (odd angle) leads to the top bedroom, the highlight of the windmill! The terrace is great, but lounge chairs and a proper table would have been welcome. João is a great host, very helpful and always available. We loved our stay!

The hosts were super receptive, indicating places to go and what to do. The environment was clean, pleasant as well as the previous comments. I highly recommend it.

This place is a gem! If you ever see it available book it immediately! It's a perfect tranquil space. They put so much care into the windmill and it's incredible to wake up to those panoramic views of the beautiful Azores.

We had a wonderful stay! The place is quiet, cozy, and beautifully kept — perfect for relaxing after a long day. I was warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. The hosts were incredibly kind and thoughtful, offering delicious homemade treats that made my stay even more special. Everything was clean, comfortable, and just as described. I would definitely love to come back!

Our stay at Moulin MOBY was fabulous! The setting was perfect and far from any stress. In addition to the very cozy mill in which we slept, the outbuilding in which we were able to spend beautiful evenings and enjoy making good dishes was superb! The kitchen is beautiful and the garden is very well maintained. In addition, the accommodation is close to beautiful cities such as Óbidos and Peniche. We highly recommend this original experience!

Indigo Windmill delivered exactly what we’d hoped for - a beautiful location with great outdoor space to relax in. The outdoor kitchen and hot tub are real highlights!

We spent a week at Ana's house with the aim to combine focused work and unwinding, and we definitely chose the right place. The Forest Windmill is a cosy place where we felt at home (loved the top room and its view) in the middle of a beautiful nature where we enjoyed doing walks in the mornings or at the end of the day. And the beaches and other walks were only 10 to 20-minute drive away. São Martinho do Porto and Nazaré were nice small cities to go to for a coffee or a dinner when we did not enjoy lovely breakfasts, lunches and dinners outdoor at the house. Ana was a lovely host, responsive, helpful, sending us tons of tips before our arrival and during our stay. We will definitely consider coming back and recommend it to anyone looking for a calm nest in the middle of a beautiful nature.
