Jayr’s place was great! Very quiet location that’s rights next to several great restaurants and a grocery store. A short bike ride/walk away from beach access. Everything was clean and all instructions were clear. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

I will always miss living at the Casita Theobroma. It was my favorite place to be during my 3 week stay in Playa Chiquita. I saw 3 types of toucans, howler monkies, iguanas, macaws, parrots, sloths, agouti, and many other birds from the back patio and yard. Mamá raccoon and her babies would come down from a tree and search for lizards. The neighbors are nice - nearly everyone is nice there. Claudia was very responsive and told me about a good beach and a green macaw tour. Her chocolate finca and tour are amazing. The yard is surrounded by a lush garden and jungle, so nobody can see in from the road and it is very private. The road noise is quite loud at times, as are all the cicadas, birds and howler monkeys. I was able to work and have online meetings with minimal internet outages. I enjoyed using the washing machine. I rented a bike right by the house and it was easy to get groceries, visit several beaches, and get to good restaurants. It's a short walk to a bus stop and cheap.

Absolutely loved staying at this property! We were looking for a quiet but comfortable place to relax and recharge and that is exactly what we found. We loved rinsing off in the outdoor shower when returning from the beach and having the filtered water station to rehydrate. We also love listening to the sounds of the jungle while resting and relaxing on the outdoor porch. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This place was unique and fully immersed into the rain forest(jungle) where you feel inside the jungle surrounded by birds and monkey’s howls so if you love nature and animals this is the right place for you to enjoy and relax with the nature sounds and its beauty at 100%. As well is very close to the beach and the trail to the beach it is also awesome and out of the normal beaches you’re used to as there is a trail to the beach with a unique access that is surrounded by the jungle and you can watch birds and monkeys on the trees, as week big crabs inside little hole so the ground, you feel like Indiana jones and Jack sparrow at the same time 😄! , this is an amazing experience of a Caribbean portion of the Costa Rica 🇨🇷 nature! . Rosa María is a wonderful host and a great person and she is always checking out on you and looking to get your stay the best way possible, she got 4 nice dogs 🐶 and they’re very friendly.
