We couldn’t have picked a better place for our two night stay. The location is secluded away from the hassle and bustle of Puerto Viejo but close where you can take a Tuk Tuk or bike ride (easy to rent nearby) to the center. Playa Chiquita is the closest beach but you can also visit Cocles and Punta Uva (our fave). The Airbnb has all the amenities you need and the host, Stephanie, was very responsive. We hope to return to this hidden oasis soon!

Everything about this place was perfect! It was so cozy and comfortable. It has everything you need to feel at home! Everything is high quality and you can tell this place was built with passion! My husband and I have been travelling several months and this was the first time we spent so much time at the place because it was just so comfortable! You hear the ocean from the place and see animals all around. The beach is stunning and great for walking. It’s a very quiet area with places to eat within walking distance. The hosts are the best!! They were welcoming and friendly and made you feel at home! They also have a great welcome package with good recommendations. I would 100% return and recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful and peaceful stay!!

Apartment was clean and corresponded to the photos. The location is quiet and the beach is easy to reach. Communication was good and easy. If you want to cook yourself, the kitchen could be better equipped (e.g. additional pot or pan).

Absolutely beautiful place right next to the beach super clean. I highly recommend this for anybody there’s a market next-door and the beach is right there. The host could not be more welcoming. Danny was very helpful all the way from answering my questions before I booked through checkout. The location was close to everything, grocery store, restaurants, beach and bus station. The price paid for that convenience was that it was a bit noisy with early morning traffic including trucks. Yes, I would stay there again. I have a few other places to explore.

Janina's house is beautiful, the garden and the animals that visit it are lovely. It is very close to the beach, it is a very quiet area, close to everything and easy access. Janina was lovely, she made sure our stay was perfect, shared data with us and was very available for any questions... we think it was a very good decision to stay in her house... the Internet is very fast! in case you have to solve some of the work... Thanks for these days!

Brindy helped us a lot with directions to the studio, gave us recommendations for restaurants and places to visit in the area, and was always attentive to us. The studio is within walking distance of all the places to visit in Puerto Viejo, I would definitely come back.

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Mangovillas. What a beautiful quiet place they created, close to Puerto Viejo and Cocles. It was great using the bikes to visit the beaches and to go to the supermarket. The national park of Manzanillo is around 20 mins by car. I travelled alone and felt very safe and comfortable. The wifi is excellent, so it's perfect to work as well. I hope to return soon.

Very close to the center of town

Selvin cabins have an excellent location, very close to Punta Uva. The accommodation was very spacious and clean. The room had several spaces and a terrace. They were also flexible with check-in and check-out. Overall, a great place to stay.

Very friendly host and help me find food and clubs I would book again

We talked to Anikka, everything was excellent. We rent bikes and toured the cochle beaches, tip grape, black beach without problems. There is supermarket and pharmacy very close. Everything works well, and Anikka always responds kindly to any requests.

This place is what I want when I think of off the grid vacation. It is an absolute Mecca for those who need to stare at the ocean and listen to the surf. We totally loved it. The hosts were a whole another level —unless we needed to ask for something they were invisible, but as soon as any small question needed answering Jamie would immediately provide most detailed info about anything at all, be it the sites, the weather, the activities. Having a knowledgeable local who happens to be a Texan made all the difference for Thea tourists. As someone with lots of travel experience in far away, off the grid places, I loved the style we were subjected to. The owners clearly done their homework before deciding to provide comfort and shelter for others. Experience is the best teacher and our hosts are hands down real pros. Thank you all! Anna, Maxim.

I don’t even know where to begin; I’m so in love 🩷 Mercedes is a 100/100 host! Her apartment is stunning! It is spacious, immaculately clean and located near the most delicious restaurants with only a 5 minute walk to the beautiful Playa Negra. I have had the oppertunity to see iguanas, tucans, beautiful birds and butterflies just feet away from the balcony. Supermarkets are near and the neighborhood is friendly. Mercedes is a pleasure and she takes care of any issues that may occur quickly. I cannot recommend this space enough. It will quickly become your home away from home and you will never want to leave 🥰

Jacky was always very friendly and thoughtful, the place is very nice, safe, quiet and private. I recommend this place and I would definitely return with my family, it is one of the few places with a pool and air conditioning in the area , very well located
