Kid-friendly holiday rentals in New Haven County

Beth’s place was lovely, a large pond and woods. Peaceful and quiet. Beth could not have done more to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The room is spacious and Beth made us feel right at home. And we learned a lot about the history of farming in North Guildford.

Great place, great location. Sue was great, a quick introduction and I was on my way for my daughter’s graduation from QU!

This is a great place close to downtown and the university. The communication was timely and everything in the house was thoughtful and easy to navigate. It was a perfect place for our family to use.

This is my favorite AirBnB in Connecticut. Gabe and Mary were great! We come twice a year and hope to make this our regular second home. The house is ideal for small kids and the cul-de sac has kids of all ages. It is a real functioning home, not a model. Terrific kitchen with a beautiful view. Great for work at home. Everything appeared updated and operated properly. Tall order for an old house. It is secluded between 2 ponds and surrounded by woods but a short walk to everything in Hamden. I'll be sorry when their son starts school and they occupy the house more of the time.

Great spot super close to everything we needed to go to. It was so cozy that we ended up sleeping through a bunch of our plans 😂 appreciate having pet friendly places like this since we like to travel with our pups. It was clean and quiet for being attached to another residence.

It was such a pleasure to stay with Anne! You really do feel like you’re staying at a family members house. We chit chatted all morning and she gave us great suggestions for things to do in the area. If we’re ever back on this side of the states we will definitely come back and stay with Anne. Cannot recommend it enough. Between the blackout blinds and the extra comfy bed, we got the best sleep of the whole trip. 10/10

This is a charming Cape in a safe neighborhood, and Hamden is a great little New England town. It was convenient to get to meetings (by car) I was having at Yale and friends I was catching up with in Wallingford. The space was clean and comfortable. You pretty much have the upstairs bedroom and bathroom to yourself. Lauren is a great host. She stays busy with her bees out back and her gardening. So she's around if you need her, but you can come and go as you please. We had a couple of nice conversations just to introduce ourselves and talk about what I was doing in the area. I would recommend this place to friends.

This is a great place and I’d recommend it if you’re visiting New Haven for work or play. The bed is quite squeaky and the mattress sags a bit in the middle, but other than that, it is really great! The host was very kind, proactive and responsive.

The apartment is amazingly quiet and peaceful even though it is highly walkable to Wooster Square, Yale, several great coffee shops, etc. The beds are comfy, and the kitchen/living room spacious. It was also very useful to have a washer/dryer. I will definitely be back!

Selestria was super kind & supportive! She made us feel welcomed and made herself available for calls if needed. The home was clean and nice looking :)

Quiet, residential street, walkable to parks and to Yale campus. Two flights of stairs up from street, so be aware of that, if carrying luggage is difficult for you. But the apartment is spacious, quiet, and well cared for, and was a perfect place for me and my canine traveling companion while visiting family in New Haven. We were happy to find that a forested park along the creek is only a short walk to the west along Elm Street.

Alisa and Lena's place was really cute, private and comfortable. We had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Also you can walk a few short blocks to a bird sanctuary!

We had to cut our stay short due to changes in travel plans, which was a pity because it was a really lovely and very comfortable place. I would strongly recommend it and hope to stay longer next time.

Dawn and Bob’s place is one of the top Airbnb’s we have stayed in! Top notch in every way. It was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed. And on top of that Dawn and Bob were the most friendly hosts we have met! I would recommend this Airbnb without reservation and will be back whenever we are back in CT!

Oyi was quick to respond with every question we had, her recommendations were spot on. The apartment was spectacular, very elegant and tastefully decorated. Pristine and chic, every detail was well sorted out from distinctive furnishings to lightings and amenities. Comfy beds, pillows paired with perfectly posh linens. Details in each room is well balanced. You can choose to order in or eat out you won’t be disappointed! You won’t regret your stay at Oyi’s. I will definitely stay at Oyi’s elegant space again! 💕

Over $500 a night was very high, much higher than west Coast pricing for two bedrooms near a major university. Convenient to Yale but know that poverty has always been evident a few feet from Yale borders and much of the foot traffic consists of the homeless. Also some noise at night from passing traffic. On the plus side there’s an excellent Italian bakery/gelato cafe across the street run by a husband wife team that makes everything they serve.

Muna was incredible start to finish with my stay. Helpful, communicative and accommodating. Place was perfectly as described. Genuinely recommend a stay at her place!

The place was great!! Exactly what we were looking for and a terriffic location.

I stayed in this airbnb for 2 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The location can’t be beat; My guest and I walked to the beach, the movies, the aquarium, Norwalk riverwalk, the train station, and at least 30+ restaurants. The apartment itself was a comfortable size for 1-2 people. It was very clean and the kitchen had everything you’d need for your stay. There was a small balcony, which was nice for some fresh air with your morning coffee. Nicole gave plenty of local recommendations and was very responsive. Would stay again!

Excellent place to stay! This was my second visit, and once again, I had a wonderful experience. The room in the upper floor is the best as you avoid unwanted noises (traffic, other people walking). They are also implementing a new system for the washer/dryer that allows you to pay with your cellphone, making it much easier to pay now. They are usually quick to answer and helpful. I recommend this place for sure.
