When I got there the first night, I was exhausted, they marketed the tour group to me, and I didn't feel free.But after that all was good, no more marketing and would respond to my needs like breakfast service and laundry service.They also helped me with my luggage, which was appreciated. The terrace of the hotel can be sunbathing comfortably.And the cats at the hotel are cute.

Huge house, good for people looking for contact with village life. Not easy to reach without your own car and without Arabic skills, it takes some hand & foot communication to get away from the village. Mahmoud supported us very much at all times and made our stay very pleasant at all times. Thank you for that.

Michael and the family (his father and mother) are incredible nice people. You will enjoy the true Egyptian hospitality here. His parents are really caring. Although i can't speak proper Arabic and they can't English, they tried hard to communicate via translator. They cared about the details of living, e.g. the heater, water dripping, stove... I also enjoyed afternoon tea with them. I had delicious tea, dates and beans, with the beautiful sunset. The only problem is the transportation for me. The town is a bit far from the main tourist attractions and if you prefer to challenge yourself with the public ones, not car renting, you need to go in the early morning and back before the dusk (6pm). As a female solo travellers, I experienced the offensive touch from a tuktuk drivers at night, where there's no light in street. But if you have more people or decide to rent a car, i believe It's not a problem at all. Generally, It's an unique time, i hope the family all the best!
