I’m going to give this full marks even though there were some negatives! Check in was easy and flexible and the photos almost don’t do it justice. The apartment was huge with a large balcony with a Nile view and lovely swimming pool. It’s shared with another villa of which another couple were staying. There seems to be a ‘staff member’ or two always on site which was a strange set up but good as you could sort of ask questions if needed. The Wifi went down for the last 24 hours which was an issue but I think this was an issue in Luxor. Worth staying this side of Luxor as it’s peaceful and get less hassle! However I think we were ripped off a bit with the taxi, the non English driver mis quoted us leading to an angry owner. Also trying to book a tour with the owner proved difficult as he didn’t give us enough detail of the itinerary so we used someone else but overall it’s a fantastic apartment to relax in and base yourself.

I spent just over a week at Villa Shanhouri - a calm and peaceful haven on the west bank, a stone's throw away from the Nile. There are many sacred sites to explore nearby, and one can easily cross to the east bank by boat. The room was spacious and comfortable - no fault at all to be found. Saleh and his team are kind, generous and hospitable hosts. I highly recommend, you'll have a wonderful time.

An absolutely perfect stay in Luxor! The apartment was as advertised, very clean, comfortable and ideally located. But what really made the difference was the exceptional hospitality of our host, Mohammed. With rare kindness, always smiling and extremely available, he made sure that everything went well from start to finish. Whether organizing visits, recommending restaurants or simply chatting, Mohammed was a great help. You can feel that he welcomes his guests with his heart. A big thank you to him for this beautiful Egyptian experience! I'd recommend it without a second thought.

Even though we had to cross the Nile river several times I love the place. We had a balcony with a view to the Nile river. There was a pool which I could not use, maybe next time. I really enjoy the ambiance, the location and the hospitality. One remark: I wish mattress as bit softer. For my Mom mattress was fine. I would recommend / ask for a full body mirror.

The most important point is that our host Goda was fully available, he made our stay a lot easier, we didn't have to manage the logistics of the excursions we wanted to do as well as the drivers not speaking English. If you decide to stay there, I advise against the driver that Mostafa could offer you because his price is high, otherwise it is important to agree in advance on the price, or you take a taxi to the edge of the East Bank of the Nile and take a small boat to cross at a reasonable price and much faster.

Mahmoud is a very friendly host. He is running in such a smooth way. The location is of walking distance to the ferry. The view on the East bank is fantastic and you can see the Luxor Temple from your balcony. I strongly recommend this accommodation.

Super cost-effective, and the room is very clean. When we first arrived, the landlord's nephew came directly to help with the luggage. The landlord is very nice. We had a hot air balloon at 4 in the morning, and the landlord woke up with us to open the door. When the hot air balloon came back, we could eat hot noodles. The next morning, he brought us breakfast to the airport. Highly recommended!And the kitten at the door is really cute, and it doesn't bite or scratch, super well-behaved!
