Wow!!! An absolutely stunning location, has to be seen to be believed, beach walks and forest walks practically on your doorstep, just head out of property and they are there. The garden is just lovely and private and so is the property, Carol lives next door, will be around for you if required otherwise you are left to your own devices which is perfect. My Collie, Ruby, was safe in the enclosed private garden, but did totally enjoy Carol's Lab for playtime, it made her holiday!! The property has everything you need for a few days stay or a 2 week stay, great base to explore Donegal. 100% recommendation from me, I will definitely be heading back there, the location, the property and the host just fantastic!

What a beautiful home in idyllic setting of Downings peninsula. Felt right at home from the second I arrived with beautiful open fire ideal for winter evenings, very relaxed setting and beautiful surroundings but still close enough to all the local amenities like golf at Rosapenna, local restaurants in Downings & Carrigart, The Boardwalk and amazing beach at Tra Mor & Murder Hole Cove. Tara was an excellent host, was responsive to all pre visit enquiries and was. flexible around my travel arrangement’s. Look forward to many more visits in the future.

Had a great stay in Downings! The house is in a quiet neighborhood and allows for easy walking anywhere in town. Home is large enough to accommodate the entire family.

I waited a bit to write this review as our time at The Old Post Office was so far above and beyond what we had hoped for, that I needed a minute to process. We went for my 60th birthday and I booked the space a year and one month in advance. There was a full house plus spill over at the local hotel. Natalie communicated with me every step of the way, FOR A YEAR. She helped with every question and concern, provided super useful suggestions, and was genuinely excited about OUR plans in her amazingly beautiful, perfectly appointed home. The house is incredible. Breathtaking and amazing. The beds! The linens and pillows on the beds! The stocked kitchen, the game room, the great room with super comfortable seating and views for days! I could go on. The heat and hot water worked well. We washed a lot of clothes, with no trouble. Check out was a breeze, although we really did not want to leave. We LOVED our time in this home. And over the year of planning, we fell in love with Natalie too
