The mansion is beautiful! I will say as a person who is very easily spooked by old houses, this place doesn’t give off the creepy haunted vibe you’d expect it to. The house is a bit dusty as is to be expected it’s 200 years old and I definitely recommend bringing some extra pillows, other than that it was an absolutely beautiful weekend away, the house is historic and very fascinating. James offered us a FREE tour of the areas of the house that they are currently renovating and explained the deep history of each and every room. They have definitely done right by the original owner. If you’re considering staying here but you aren’t sure let my review be the one that sways you because it really is one of the most unique experiences you’ll have.

Excellent home. Very clean. Lots of space. Everything was 6 minutes’ drive. The house is well stocked with appliances and kitchen inventory. Absolutely recommend

Joseph was a great host and was very responsive. The house was as described. They have very clear instructions on how to handle the house and where things are located. That alone made things easier. Overall, we all enjoyed our stay and would stay again if ever in the area. Definitely worth the stop!

This is a lovely home on a quiet street. Four of us stayed here for a long-weekend birthday celebration and found it charming. We had hot weather one day and enjoyed using the large barbecue and eating in the screened pavilion. Another day was chilly, so the gas-lit woodstove was enjoyed. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and the furnishings were very comfy. We enjoyed the view from the sunporch, even when it was rainy. Thanks, Susan for a cozy stay!

The location is truly exceptional—situated right on the water, it offered breathtaking views and picture-perfect sunsets each evening. The setting was peaceful, private, and ideal for a relaxing escape. The home itself had a unique charm, with a few characterful quirks typical of a lakeside cottage, none of which detracted from the comfort or tranquility of our stay. The host provided a well-organized and helpful guidebook, which included clear instructions for the house and thoughtful recommendations for local attractions and dining. Overall, this was a delightful and restorative retreat, and we would gladly return. Highly recommended for those seeking serenity and natural beauty in a cozy lakeside setting.

Tyler was extremely flexible as we had to check in super early after a long drive. The place was very clean, everything was easily accessible, and it was a cozy. Just enough space for my partner and I, Definitely would book again.

We had such a great stay!! the flat is so cozy, you feel like you’re at a cottage in the country - but downtown is a quick and lovely walk away. Would definitely stay here again. This is a wonderful little rental on an absolutely stunning property. Top of the line amenities- everything you could ever need to live comfortably:washer/dryer, dishwasher, modern kitchen, really strong wifi, and two smart TVs with all the streaming options- but it still manages to feel like you are staying in a secluded cabin in the mountains. Gorgeous acreage with beautiful views and deer who visit every day. Quick drive into Watertown on well maintained roads. My dog was in heaven here! By far the best thing about this Airbnb is the host- Andrea. She is amazing. You would be hard pressed to find a lovelier, more helpful, more proactive host anywhere on this site. I am so glad to have found this place and met her! I travel for work and have stayed in many airbnbs all across the country and this is one of my top 3 bookings of all time.

Very welcoming and helpful with telling us where to eat and things to do. Apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed.

The space was very clean and inviting. Stephanie was very responsive and had tonnes of recommendations for places to see and things to do. We would definitely stay again!

Kristine is a nice host and the place looks exactly as in the photos. The bed is very comfortable and it is best to accommodate a couple. The sofa bed however is not recommend to use for sleeping as its rather small. Besides I found that there were some bed sheets which were not totally dry left in the dryer and probably due to the cleaner not fully aware of. Access to the house is super easy though. All in all, a super host and Cozy place that I would recommend.
