Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lower Normandy

For a stay in Normandy, this is the ideal rental, located between Mont St Michel, St-Malo on one side and the landing beaches, Caen, Deauville, Etretat etc. on the other. Philippe welcomed us upon our arrival with kindness, a small bottle of cider in the fridge as a welcome. He listened to us in relation to what we wanted to visit and sent us good detailed addresses throughout our stay on the different visits and dining places and various things to do in the area. If you are looking to explore Bayeux and surrounds you couldn’t stay in a more wonderful spot. The house had everything you could wish for and more - a true home away from home. We loved sitting outside of an afternoon while the kids played. Katrine is a friendly and responsive host, providing recommendations on local places to eat and shop.

The accommodation offered by Sonia is just amazing! Clean, tastefully furnished, well-equipped and functional. But above all, the veranda, the pool, the sauna and the garden are wonderful! We had a wonderful stay in this cottage! It is very well located for visiting Mont Saint Michel. In addition, Sonia is responsive, welcoming and attentive to her guests. We highly recommend it!

If you dreamed of staying in a French farmhouse in the countryside while having all the modern conveniences look no further. There are not enough pictures to do the property justice complete with a lake, ducks, pastures, cows, local old church while being close to all the historic sites you go to Normandy to see. The host is superb. Met us at the door of the property even though she had worked all day as a nationally certified D Day guide. Everything in the house was new, clean, comfortable, and easy to use. The interior is amazing with wooden beams and tastefully decorated keeping with the French country aesthetic. Our stay was great and kept getting better every day as we noticed more and more amazing nuances that really enriched our visit. We could not have imagined a better visit, a better location, or a better host.

In a haven of tranquility by the river, an adorable little house absolutely in line with the description of the ad, ideal for a couple, awaited us. Aleksa and Alexandre are very charming and welcoming hosts. For a future stay, we would prefer the other house at the end of their land, which has a garden and a more private terrace, offering more privacy and direct access to the river. The walk with the canoe provided is a real plus with its green and bucolic environment. The center of Chartres and its cathedral are 15 minutes away by car and the castle of Maintenon, which is worth the detour, is 35 minutes away. Loved our stay!

Thé Manigale is simply wonderful ans thé way Pascal and Karine made it into a simply stunning home. The gardens, thé cows, thé lovely kitchen which was lovely to work in and then sit in the garden and take it all in. Thé local villages are lovely and the people so friendly. It’s also great for bike rides. Perfect 😍

A house literally on the beach!! The accommodation is exceptional, perfectly equipped ,ideally located, you can do anything on foot , moreover Bertrand is very friendly and responsive, I highly recommend 🥰😍👌🏻👍🏻

We had an amazing stay at Cyril's place. It is a beautifully restored 12th century tower with a large modern kitchen, fabulous living room with an enormous original fireplace and the master bedroom is outstanding. The garden is private and very large with a lovely swimming pool that we used morning and night. Cyril met us upon arrival and showed us around the house and property and explained everything we needed to know. The property and our visit far exceeded our expectation and we can't wait to book this special property again in the future.

I immediately felt very comfortable. The accommodation is beautiful and everything is clean. Anne is friendly and helpful. The apartment is perfectly located in the first row of the harbor bay. Although restaurants and shops are in the immediate vicinity, it is still very quiet. The market on Saturday is right in front of the house - perfect French atmosphere guaranteed 😍 We'd love to come back!

Very nice welcome, offer to check in earlier, unfortunately we could use, very clean, great and unique location overlooking Le Tréport and the beach including promenade, everything necessary available, experienced magnificent sunsets on the terrace with red wine, long walks on the cliffs in the best weather, we will repeat when the opportunity arises.

This property is right in the heart of Bayeux, but is quiet and has private parking. It was immaculately presented and felt like home straight away. Milene, the host, was extremely helpful and responds quickly to any query. We would definitely recommend and will be back.

Impeccable and spacious accommodation, with really all the amenities with a very large terrace just facing the sea. Pets allowed. Quiet and off-center location with a sandy beach at mid tide between cliff areas. Possible walks from the accommodation (to Caesar's field. Home surf spot... just leave the apartment with your board. Many stores within 3 km for shopping. 10-12 min from the center of Dieppe by car. Warm welcome and advice from Céline. Enough to have a good vacation...

Alison has a few gites available and mine was absolutely perfect. I wanted piece and quiet and wasn't disappointed. I didn't explore beyond the gardens apart from a trip to get groceries. The garden is full of flowers and is beautiful. Alison is English so communication was excellent for me and I believe she's fluent in French too. I wouldn't hesitate rebooking this gite in the future.

Very tastefully furnished apartment on the ground floor with a large terrace. Everything as described with very good seating and sleeping furniture(!) Bedroom with shutters. Secure parking space for cars on enclosed premises. Overall, a quiet location with short walks to the sea and to the boulangerie, restaurants, shops and market hall.

Excellent stay at Dominique's. The apartment is as described. The furniture, bedding and accessories are of very good quality. The decoration is very good, and the mirrors arranged opposite each other in the living room give a very nice effect which considerably enlarges the space. Bravo Dominique!

Pleasant stay at Karin's. Close to the city center and the sea. Nearby shops and a beautiful walk along the coast.

Beautiful views and well-catered. Check in was easy with Katrin who spoke very good English, which was good because our French isn't great! Cabourg itself is lovely and only a 5-10 min walk away.

Nice apartment with a beautiful view of the sea and the cliffs. Good location, we were able to visit Étretat on foot. In the evening, the apartment is peaceful thanks to the sounds of the waves. Cleanliness level, nothing to say. Comfortable bed. Fully-equipped kitchen, it's very convenient. Adam welcomed us. He was nice and had good recommendations!

This is a lovely and well decorated flat overlooking the harbor. Cozy, but well equipped and we felt welcomed. The tub worked as advertised. The coffee machine was a plus. There was some challenge getting in; follow the instructions exactly and you’ll be ok. The location is central Deauville, with Honfleur and beaches nearby. Even a public Olympic pool. So the value here was great, and we would come back another time
