Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lower Normandy

Friendly welcome, cozy and well-equipped accommodation, proximity to shops… all this 100 meters walk from the cliffs! As a family with our two teenagers, we couldn't have discovered Etretat in better conditions! Aurore's tips for walks and restaurants were perfect.

A true haven of peace! The house is really cute, you can feel that the owners really want to do everything in the best way: the little touches, the decoration, the quality of the furniture and the renovation. The same goes for the garden, which is magnificent and invites you to relax and disconnect. A little paradise that makes you want to come back.

If you are looking to explore Bayeux and surrounds you couldn’t stay in a more wonderful spot. The house had everything you could wish for and more - a true home away from home. We loved sitting outside of an afternoon while the kids played. Katrine is a friendly and responsive host, providing recommendations on local places to eat and shop.

If you dreamed of staying in a French farmhouse in the countryside while having all the modern conveniences look no further. There are not enough pictures to do the property justice complete with a lake, ducks, pastures, cows, local old church while being close to all the historic sites you go to Normandy to see. The host is superb. Met us at the door of the property even though she had worked all day as a nationally certified D Day guide. Everything in the house was new, clean, comfortable, and easy to use. The interior is amazing with wooden beams and tastefully decorated keeping with the French country aesthetic. Our stay was great and kept getting better every day as we noticed more and more amazing nuances that really enriched our visit. We could not have imagined a better visit, a better location, or a better host.

In a haven of tranquility by the river, an adorable little house absolutely in line with the description of the ad, ideal for a couple, awaited us. Aleksa and Alexandre are very charming and welcoming hosts. For a future stay, we would prefer the other house at the end of their land, which has a garden and a more private terrace, offering more privacy and direct access to the river. The walk with the canoe provided is a real plus with its green and bucolic environment. The center of Chartres and its cathedral are 15 minutes away by car and the castle of Maintenon, which is worth the detour, is 35 minutes away. Loved our stay!

A house literally on the beach!! The accommodation is exceptional, perfectly equipped ,ideally located, you can do anything on foot , moreover Bertrand is very friendly and responsive, I highly recommend 🥰😍👌🏻👍🏻

Isabelle and Alain are the most wonderful, warm-hearted hosts you could wish for—so lovely and genuinely thoughtful. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home and incredibly welcomed. Their home in the beautiful Normandy region is a true gem. The space is filled with charm, comfort, and everything you could possibly need (and more!). From the soft cushions to the perfectly equipped kitchen and the peaceful backyard, every detail is cared for with love and intention. Normandy itself is breathtaking—a region full of history, natural beauty, and a calm that invites you to slow down and truly enjoy the moment. I found myself wishing I could spend every quiet Saturday morning there, just soaking in the peace. I super highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a magical getaway. Weather was hot when we were there but the property was thankfully cool. Also always shade somewhere to sit out. It was well equipped. As mentioned previously floor upstairs is quite creaky but that didn’t bother us. We ventured out a couple of times on the bikes to explore the nearby coast which was very good. Specially liked the coffee machine and the various pods including decaffeinated. We were disappointed that the village bakery had closed. However, there is an Intermarche just a little further that has a good bread and bakery section. We really enjoyed a quiet few days at Le Petit Pelloquin.

The apartment offered is so soothing. The decoration of the apartment gives it a certain character and a sweetness that I cannot explain. I felt like I was at home, I wanted to stay longer. Details of decorative objects that make their effects. A clean apartment, with linen and bathroom products available. I would definitely stay again!

This property is right in the heart of Bayeux, but is quiet and has private parking. It was immaculately presented and felt like home straight away. Milene, the host, was extremely helpful and responds quickly to any query. We would definitely recommend and will be back.

Very pleasant stay in the home of Stéphanie. Everything was there, the view, the decor, the cleanliness and much more. No complaints. A pleasant place to disconnect.

Cozy unique apartment with beautiful view to an old church. It is also in a beautiful shopping street with pubs and restaurants. The aparment itself has everything you need, and you get alot of value for your money. The owner answers quick and with clear instructions. Would definitely stay here again!

This was a fabulous apartment! Directly across from the cathedral. Walked to restaurants, grocery store and bars. Easy to drive in. Free parking nearby. Yann was a great host, very helpful. Apartment had everything we needed, and more. Being there on D-day anniversary was very special.

Very tastefully furnished apartment on the ground floor with a large terrace. Everything as described with very good seating and sleeping furniture(!) Bedroom with shutters. Secure parking space for cars on enclosed premises. Overall, a quiet location with short walks to the sea and to the boulangerie, restaurants, shops and market hall.

Excellent stay at Dominique's. The apartment is as described. The furniture, bedding and accessories are of very good quality. The decoration is very good, and the mirrors arranged opposite each other in the living room give a very nice effect which considerably enlarges the space. Bravo Dominique!

Pleasant stay at Karin's. Close to the city center and the sea. Nearby shops and a beautiful walk along the coast.

Beautiful views and well-catered. Check in was easy with Katrin who spoke very good English, which was good because our French isn't great! Cabourg itself is lovely and only a 5-10 min walk away.

We had an exceptional stay, the apartment was impeccable, the residence secure and close to the beach and restaurants; Olivier was very attentive and recommended activities in Villers that we really enjoyed. I recommend it without hesitating!

If you are coming to Etretat, this is the best view hands down! The beach is simply steps away, and the restaurant downstairs is excellent (Homard Bleu). Everything is a stones throw distance!
