Tessa is a very kind, considerate and responsive host.

An easy 13 mins walk from Lewes Station via Southover High St, this was a great place to chill and feel rested, and have the flexibility to do our own cooking the first night we arrived. Ruth and her husband looked after us and made us feel welcome. Recommend the 15 mins walk along Rotten Row to the town centre: you catch a glimpse of views of the south downs on your way. Looking forward to returning next month!

I loved the Old Bakehouse and it was perfect for my four day stay in Lewes. It is more spacious than it appears in the pictures and very livable and comfortable. It was lovely to be able to open the big doors and sit in the quiet and peaceful garden listening to the birds. Very nice modern kitchen plus a washing machine - a rare and much appreciated feature! Everything was clean and well maintained and communication with Judith was great. I would happily return.

A really wonderful stay. The photos don’t do this place justice. We felt so at home. It’s a wonderful place to stay in Lewes. Right in the heart but very peaceful too. Full of light and lovely furniture.
