Farmstay holiday rentals in Lazio

We loved our stay in Sara's rustic farmhouse cottage with its glorious views across the valley, little hill towns on the other side and a beautiful scenic drive across to Orvieto on one side (about 1 hour) and Todi on the other. The pool was heavenly. We only had swimming weather for the first week but we were in every day. When the mornings were cold, I also enjoyed sitting by the pool in the morning sun, reading and drinking my coffee. The garden is also beautiful and very quiet. It was so peaceful here - and what a dream to have the pool to ourselves. Sara lives in the other half of the house with Simone, her partner, and Eugene, the dog - but we never saw them (they have their own entrance) except when they were cleaning the pool. The house is full of art and ceramics, some of which are Sara's own, and we even had lunch in Todi at Simone's restaurant. Yes, the road is rough, but so are all roads in Umbria. We have a mini and the road was not a problem.

My parents wanted to stay in a peaceful countryside and this was the perfect place! Surrounded by nature, this very rustic and charming house is what made us feel like we were in the heart of Italy. The best part was how accommodating our hostess Maria was. She offered to pick us up from the train station as we got a bit lost, she also offered to show us around town on our first day there. She really made the area of Roca di pappa have a lasting impression. Thank you Maria, for being such a warm and generous host!

Graziella received us with open arms. It's so refreshing to find and stay at an Airbnb that is truly an original BnB where you can get to know the owners, see them in person, and have a real conversation. We love the spirit of this experience. Graziella received us even before our check-in time and suggested a few attractions and a nearby, lovely restaurant on the lake. Our room was perfect, and breakfast delicious, with real chicken eggs, local salumi and cheese. We look forward to coming back one day.

We spent a long weekend at this place for a wedding-ceremony with our families The place is a lot more beutiful than you are led to believe by the pictures, but to be honest the thing that really did it for us was the constant care of Valerie. She was fast to answer questions and extras before our stay there, but during the stay she and the rest of the staff was just great. All of us fel very welcome and everytime we asked for something it was met with a smile. We could truly focus on our families and our wedding and everything else was just fast and easily taken care. If I could give more than 5 stars to the hospitality, Valerie and the staff I would. We are just ever thankful!

Casale semplicemente strepitoso, dal vivo ancora più bello che in foto. Orietta molto gentile e disponibile in ogni nostra richiesta,ha fatto di tutto per farci trovare la piscina attiva, nonostante il tempo incerto, l' abbiamo usata per tutto il soggiorno! Spazi esterni curatissimi, camere confortevoli e spaziose, se posso dare un consiglio suggerirei di cambiare cuscini e materassi davvero scomodi e di prestare più attenzione alla pulizia di camere e bagni davvero poco accurata. Cmq consiglio vivamente!!!

Annarita and her house were amazing! She was so kind, friendly and super helpful. We needed instructions on how to get to the train station and not only did she tell us where to meet the bus and when, she walked us to the store to purchase the tickets and then to the bus stop so we knew exactly where to go. The house was spotless and exactly as it looks in the pictures. There was a grocery store, a bakery, and a fruit and vegetable market all within a 10 minute walk of her house. We walked back to the house from the old town (Orvieto Duomo) in about 30 minutes. Obviously it would take longer if you were to walk up to the old town due to the hills. Also, there were tons of free parking spaces right outside the house. If we are ever back in this area, we would love to stay at Annarita's again!

We stayed here to escape the British winter and we couldn’t have stayed in a better place to both work from and to discover this wonderful part of Italy. Luciano was on hand via messaging, he gave us gifts, cooked for us, dropped a meal in when I was poorly and was all in all the perfect host…without being intrusive. The apartment is a fabulous size, the beds are comfy and there is plenty of room for two people to work…and also good wifi. There are handy supermarkets within a 5 minute walk and larger ones within a 2 minute drive. We’d recommend you have a car to explore the area fully, but there are also plenty of villages close enough to walk/cycle to. For cycling the area is particularly excellent. We loved our time here. Returning is our priority!

Für uns war es das erste mal, dass wir auf Airbnb gebucht haben. Wir waren sehr positiv überrascht. Die Unterkunft ist ein kleines, sehr geräumiges Haus mit allem was man braucht. Es gibt auch noch eine große Terrasse und einen großen Garten. Man fühlt sich wirklich wie im Eigenheim. Die Stadt Mentana hat sehr viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants oder andere Geschäfte des täglichen Lebens. Rom ist mit dem Auto in einer Stunde zu erreichen und mit dem Öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel auch in 45 min. Dazu muss man sagen das man zu der Haltestelle Labaro mit dem Auto fahren muss. Die ist 30 min. Entfernt und dann ist man in 15 min. In Rom. Wir haben allerdings unser Auto nicht in Labaro geparkt (Parkplätze gibt es), da wir wegen unserem Hund immer getrennt nach Rom gefahren sind. Man müsste mal hinterfragen wie sicher die Haltestelle ist. An das Meer braucht man auch ungefähr eine Stunde. Die Gastgeber sind super nett und immer erreichbar. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit allem.

Wir, 6 Erwachsene und 3 kleine Kinder, haben heute ein kleines Paradies verlassen müssen. Nicoletta hat einen wunderschönen Ort geschaffen. Die Pflanzen im Garten, der schöne Pool, das liebevoll eingerichtete und geschmackvoll restaurierte Haus, einfach ein Genuss. In der großen Küche gab es alles was es für das tägliche Kochen für viele Personen braucht und der Essbereich draußen mit Blick auf die schöne Umgebung ist perfekt. Verschiedene Plätze mit Hängematten, eine Schaukel, eine Tischtennisplatte und viele Spiele und Bücher für die Kinder gab es auch. Wir haben gut in dieser Ruhe geschlafen, nachdem wir Glühwürmchen beobachtet haben, und uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Nicoletta ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und in der Nähe wohnen Elena und ihre Familie, die sich um alles kümmern, wenn Nicoletta nicht da ist. Es blieb keine Frage unbeantwortet. Vielen Dank für diese schöne Zeit. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Il posto è bellissimo, il parco è tenuto benissimo, la casa è confortevole: se ci si vuole rilassare a due passi da roma è il posto perfetto. Alessandro è stato molto presente e puntuale.

We had wonderful stay at Casale Zeno. The pristine environment is exactly what we needed and the beautiful sceneries surrounding the property were divine. Jo and Tony are very friendly hosts and it was pleasure staying at their place. We really appreciate all the small details provided in the accommodation along with the super comfortable mattress and pillows. The house is a perfect base for exploring Orvieto and the fantastic region around it. We would happily come back and recommend it. Thank you for a magical stay!

Bardzo polecam to miejsce osobą które szukają ciszy i spokoju. Mieszkania są świetnie wyposażone, zawierają wszystko czego potrzebujesz (nawet do gotowania!). Zajęliśmy apartament od ulicy, ale nie przeszkadzało nam to (jest jeszcze na pietrze z tarasem i od ogrodu) ponieważ ulicą przejeżdża maksymalnie jeden samochód dziennie, a nocą są piękne widoki na niebo. Jedynym minusem jest brak klimatyzacji w cenie, trzeba za nią dodatkowo płacić. Świetny basen z miejscami do opalania, stolikami, są również stoliki w cieniu. Jeśli potrzebujesz zrobić pranie- nie ma problemu, udostępniają pralkę. Nie ma zbyt wielu miejsc do spacerowania, zwiedzanie wiąże się z podróżą do najbliższych miast, ale na tej samej ulicy znajduje się niesamowita, rodzinna restauracja (La dogana) z której polecam korzystać!

La ubicació de la casa es absolutament fabulosa, al bell mig dels turons que envolten Todi, amb unes vistes esplèndides. L’apartament on ens vam allotjar és el núm 1, un dels 4 que l’anfitriona lloga dins de la seva propietat. L’espai interior està ben moblat i té tots els estris i comoditats necessàris per passar-hi dies. També té una terrassa privada encantadora per poder sopar a la fresca. Tot el conjunt de la casa està pensat per a la comoditat dels hostes, amb zona de barbacoa i chillout sota un porxo, un jardí molt ben cuidat, i una piscina ideal per banyar-s’hi després de voltar pels lloc d’interès propers un dia calorós d’estiu. Valoro molt especialment el projecte de paisatgisme que enllaça tots els espais exteriors de la casa amb l’entorn natural on està ubicada. La Christiane i la seva filla van ser molt afables i atentes. Hem passat molt bons dies i hi tornarem segur!

Siamo stati accolti da Gianluca e Silvia con una gentilezza e una disponibilta straordinaria, ci siamo sentiti subito come a casa nostra invitandoci ad aperitivi e cena insieme come se fossimo amici da una vita . Location veramente ben curata e pulita .La casa ordinata e molto pulita e la sua posizione ti offre diverse scelte da visitare con ristorantini niente male e spiagge sia attrezzate e non se vuoi avere un po' più di privacy e relax . Grazie ancora di tutto ragazzi torneremo a trovarvi molto presto . Assolutamente da provare .

Claudia’s place is truly delightful and our stay was outstanding from arrival until departure. The host was very responsive and answered questions before the stay clearly and concisely. The home is large, beautiful, with stunning picturesque views across the property’s olive grove and beyond. Claudia’s hospitality was amazing; Check in was very easy and we were even greeted with an unexpected gift full of amazing home made delicious pastries, local honey, olive oil, home made bread and more. You can easily reach the Eternal City in less than an hour by car and then return home after a busy day to the tranquillity and charm of Claudia’s country farm. There are many places to visit in the area including the quaint hamlet of Farfa, with it’s local shops, bars, restaurants and the Benedictine Monastery, where chef Jamie Oliver once cooked for the Friars. This is by far the best Airbnb I have been to and would I highly recommend it

We stayed for 13 nights and enjoyed every minute spending time in such a beautiful and relaxing home. Clean and tidy with so much outdoor space was just magical. Scenery was amazing and everything was true to what was advertised and described. Dror was so responsive we really appreciated that. Thank you for what was everything we had dreamed it would be. Without hesitation would recommend to anyone.

Amazing and peaceful stay in the heart of Umbria!

We selected this unit because of the parking but were wowed by the location and peaceful view of the vineyard behind our unit. We stayed on the first floor and found the patio off the main bedroom to be a nice touch. Quiet at night yet very close to everything. Don't miss the two restaurants a block down from the apartment, they're wonderful. Rosie was so pleasant and helpful- a real gem. One important detail I wish I had known before renting the car! Trastevere has two of its own restricted driving zones with different hours than Rome. The signs are difficult to see and fines are not posted.

We had a wonderful time staying with Andrea. He was very welcoming and always available to help. He assisted us with great recommendations and with booking restaurants and wineries. The tower itself is a truly unique place, and the peaceful surroundings created the perfect atmosphere for our stay.

This was the finest AirBNB home that we've ever stayed in. Every room was immaculate, the views were incredible (private and among vineyards, you can see for miles), every appliance and fixture seemed new. Everything was anticipated to make the stay perfect.....a refrigerator, bathroom and shower at the beautiful pool, pool towels in each bedroom, etc. As soon as you walk into this house, you are going to go "wow", and for good reason. Francesca came and cooked us a delicious local dinner and did some light grocery shopping for us.....all for an unreasonably LOW fee. We had another chef team come in on another night. We also visited a local winery where we had a fantastic, private wine tasting tour and lunch (Tenuta Vitalonga) and followed that up with touring Orvieto and having dinner at a very unique restaurant (Le Grotte del Funaro). Make sure you have a car or are using a bus/limo service for your transportation, nothing is walkable from this beautiful private house.

Maison conforme aux photos, très calme avec une jolie vue. Elle est située le long d’une route peu fréquentée, et à proximité d’un stand de tir (à noter pour les plus sensibles au bruit). La piscine est impeccable et très bien entretenue, et la cuisine est parfaitement équipée. Paolo a été très réactif tout au long du séjour, et suite à notre demande, il nous a rapidement fourni des ustensiles pour le barbecue. Un excellent séjour dans l’ensemble !

WOW, is all i can say!! As most of the other reviews have said, the photos of the villa and surrounds do not do the Villa justice, it is truly a special place. We were very late meeting to pick up the keys due to issues with car hire at the airport, but the hosts waited for us with no issues and were very kind and understanding. When we arrived at the villa we were shown around and our jaws continued to drop the more we were shown! Amazing large pool, amazing outdoors kitchen with bbq, pizza oven and sink all covered , perfect for alfresco dining. Lots of little places to sneak away and relax. All the rooms in the villa were spotlessly clean, the bedrooms most with their own balconies and en-suites were a great size. The kitchen was well stocked with all one needs for cooking / cleaning etc, and the added bonus of a laundry room meant to no washing at home! The hosts were fantastically responsive at all times, helping us locate shops / eateries etc. Cant wait to come back!!

Our stay at this countryside villa in Todi was nothing short of magical. The property itself is breathtaking — surrounded by rolling hills, olive groves, and the tranquil beauty of Umbria. The villa was impeccably clean, tastefully decorated, and offered all the comforts of home with the added luxury of a sparkling pool overlooking the valley. Each morning felt like a dream as we sipped coffee under the pergola and watched the sun rise over the countryside. What truly set this experience apart, however, was the warmth and generosity of our host. Claudia and Alessandro welcomed us with a tasting of Alessandro’s homemade olive oil, which was absolutely divine. They also offered a selection of local wines and even Claudia’s own natural skin care products, all crafted with care and authenticity. This stay was the perfect blend of relaxation, culture, and indulgence. We left feeling completely rejuvenated and can’t wait to return.

Madi was a brilliant host and could not have been more helpful during our stay. She was delightful with the children, gave plenty of suggestions and even organised a trip to a local petting farm and horse riding lessons which was brilliant. The house itself is in a stunning location, with wonderful views and a gorgeous garden. Cooking in the kitchen with the windows open and the scent of jasmine and rosemary drifting in was bliss! Not to mention the pool which the kids loved. Thank you!
