Kerinne and Mike’s guest house was perfect for our long weekend stay. This quick trip was all about Hawaii Volcanoes National Park as we hoped to catch Episode 23 of Kīlauea’s ongoing eruption. We’d no longer gotten back to the hose and settled in, when Kīlauea started fountaining again. We raced back to the park and were never so glad to have chosen a location so close to the park as traffic was backed up for miles headed to the park when we were leaving. While the house is a little difficult to find at night, Mike was on the lookout for us and flagged us down and Kerrine’s directions ensured we were in the vicinity for Mike to see us. Friendly animals were a nice bonus! Would recommend this guest house to anyone wanting to stay near the park.

This place serves its purpose. Out of the way very quite road. The froggs sing you to sleep:) Bed was very comfortable. The Black and white cat is so friendly, he loves people. Place was well presented. Appreciate staying there.

What an adorable find!! It’s small but mighty! Designed for two, but handled three of us just fine. The outdoor shower was a special treat. It has absolutely everything you’d need for a fabulous stay. Our breakfast was delicious! The place was extremely easy to get to yet we felt like we were out in the country. 10/10!!

I loved my stay at Mick’s place! It was super clean and comfortable. Also very quiet for working or relaxing. Mick was very responsive and helpful throughout my last minute booking and during my stay. Loved the dogs and the ponies, made me feel right at home. About a half hour (easy drive to and from) to Volcanoes National Park where I spent my days. Would definitely recommend Mick’s place to others!
