We are located between two of the Big Islands most iconic areas; Hawaii Volcano National Park and Hilo's beaches, approximately both a 20-minute drive from the studio. One of the best things about this house is that it's located less than a minute from Highway 11 on a paved road. This 2 bedroom home is located in a quiet neighborhood halfway between the Volcano Nat'l Park and the bayside town of Hilo(a 20 min. drive both ways).There is a fully equipped kitchen with appliances and supplies (range+oven, refrigerator, microwave, rice cooker, coffee maker, utensils, table setting, and cookware).Clean and comfortable place to come back to after a day of exploring.

Lahela Aloha LLC is a large studio unit attached to our family home in Hawaiian Paradise Park, a rural subdivision in the Puna District of Hawai‘i Island. We're 20 min from Hilo Int'l Airport and 40 min from Hawai‘i Volcanoes NP. We have two large rescue dogs, Jack and Boogie. They will be excited to meet you upon arrival- dog lovers only please. We also have several cats, some chickens, and our neighbors have a cow and dogs. All of them make noise, including coqui frogs at night.

Surrounded by orchids and other tropical flowers, the cottage is located on two lovely landscaped acres - 30 minutes from Hilo or Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The property is solar powered, an off-grid sustainable system with 4G phone service and fiber optic wifi. The last two miles are on unpaved gravel road in variable condition depending upon how much rain we've had lately. Four wheel drive isn't necessary but an SUV or similar vehicle with higher clearance is recommended.

Our Ohana has easy access to main road but far enough away to be in complete silence and zero light pollution. The studio is separate from main house with a kitchenette, full bathroom with tub and central air conditioning. My family enjoyed our stay at Michelle's home. Lots of space for everyone inside and a lovely covered patio outside and lush green back yard. It's close enough to Hilo and very close to the grocery store and other eateries that everything you need is nearby. This was our second stay in the Ohana Retreat, and it has yet to disappoint!

We loved Kip and Jerrie’s place! They were such gracious hosts- brought us fresh eggs and fruit and Kip even went out of his way to buy a sun umbrella and cooler bag for us to use on a day long outing. The house was so peaceful and our kids were outside whenever we were home. Trampoline/swing set/zip line/chickens/geckos they were in heaven!! So nice to have time on island in a place that feels away from it all. Highly recommend especially if you have kids.

Beautiful house with tasteful furnishing. A bit cramped if the tv is pulled out because the tv is set up on a rollable cabinet but still very beautiful and comfortable place to use as base for exploring the volcano national park. Host is friendly and communicative.

First of all I just want to thank Kiha for letting us stay at her cute & cozy place! It was everything we expected and then some! I would definitely love to stay with her again!
