Great character place to stay. Cool and quirky decoration. Loved the trees. The fire was essential in winter in a cold snap. The fire burned too hot and went out. This meant that it burned more firewood than it should have and needed relighting in the mornings. But there was plenty of wood so not a major. Instructions to set the time on the stove would also be useful. Overall though we loved it. There is nowhere quite like Apiti and we had a great time at the pub meeting Aaron and his team.

If, like me, you want a peaceful and relaxing stay in quiet and beautiful surroundings, then this is YOUR place. Everything was perfect. And like amazing Kiwi hosts, milk in the fridge and friendly and helpful! The scenery is just beautiful here, the birdsong and river and trees…..what a place!

A beautiful spot in quiet surroundings. it had everything we needed, was cosy and the shower was perfect. we would happily stay again.

Easily the best place I've lived in New Zealand in my short stay in this beautiful country for 11 odd days. I've lived and traveled globally and this is one sure place not to miss. Thank you Tricia and Bill for everything. God bless you both wonderful couple.
