Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Kent

A delightful beach cabin experience. I booked this beautiful home for a recent girls trip. Sofia allowed us to get access early as several of us had come on overnight flights. The home is easily locatable and perfectly situated. We spent four nights, enjoying long dinners at the dining room table, sitting on the back deck, enjoying the stunning view and sleeping peacefully in the lovely bedroom. Sofia was responsive throughout our visit, and even let us check out a little bit later than planned so we could further enjoy the beach. note that this is a very low tide beach. If you’re hoping to swim, you will likely need to go to another part of the beach. The water is ankle deep goes out at that level for a very long way. The kitchen is very well appointed, the beds are super comfortable. I am a stickler for having decent hot water for a nice bath, and that was not a problem at all. Thank you so much to Sofia and her partner. We look forward ved every minute.

What an exceptional and beautiful residence. Set in a nice peaceful area. The home is stunning and so tastefully done Even provided us with fresh eggs granola bread and milk! Bed was super comfy. Spent 6 pleasant days at Littleshaw Cottage. Although we went in June the evenings were chilly but the underfloor heating in the cottage kept us warm. All the things we needed, and more, for a comfortable stay were provided. We felt very secure in the cottage as it is in the private grounds of the main house behind a gated driveway. This was our first visit to Kent and there is so much to see. If we returned for another holiday we would like to stay here again.

We spent a few days here and were all blown away by the space! It’s modern and interesting and perfectly curated for a relaxing stay. The outside area is a haven and the hot tub, a wonderful bonus. Ben was an exceptionally friendly host and made us feel welcome in the space, giving us recommendations and if we bumped into him, he always asked how we were - it made the experience even better. It is by far the best Air BnB I have stayed in!

The house was great. Allister was an excellent host and very responsive to any queries. The attention to detail in the house is wonderful, really well done, quirky with thoughtful detail. Coffee machines are provided in every room with tea and coffee pods provided. There were 10 of us staying and the house suited us very well. We knew to expect that the dining area was small and could only accommodate 8 comfortably but we made it work. The heated gazebo outside seated all of us comfortably. It’s a shame the pub next door is currently closed as we were expecting to make use of that. We walked into both Canterbury and Whitstable, both were lovely walks and would recommend. Lastly, the purpose built spa on site was lovely. A great space for chilling out and beautifully done. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

We used Emily’s cottage to accommodate some guests for a family party. They really enjoyed their stay and loved the way that the cottage had been decorated and furnished.

Wonderful stay - great if you have small children. Rob even got some breakfast things in for us, which was a gorgeous touch. Would 100% stay again.

Me and my partner had a lovely stay at David’s place. Super easy to find and get checked into, with detailed instructions sent in the days prior to our stay. The place was clean and tidy and felt like a home away from home, equipped with everything you might need from salt and pepper to extra blankets, everything had been considered. We loved the hidden cosy bedroom up the stairs and always had a good nights sleep on the comfortable bed. Lovely walk into Canterbury along the riverside, with large supermarket less than 5 minute walk away. Overall, a perfect stay and would definitely return! Thank you David :)

Lovely apartment with everything you need. Extremely clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying there if looking for a place to stay in Deal as the views were superb and central to everything. Roger the host was very helpful with regards to parking. Can’t fault anything.

I stayed at The Shed for ten nights. Tina and Jerome were the perfect hosts. From the very beginning I felt at home. A very quiet site three miles from Dymchurch, one is assured a peaceful stay at The Shed with just the odd car or tractor passing by. Tina and Jerome live in the adjoining house, previously known as the Royal Oak. Jerome invited me into their house for an afternoon cup of tea and later, I was invited to join them in their garden for a chat and a glass of wine whilst we watched the sun go down. Moments to treasure. The King size double bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything one needs. I really didn’t want to leave. David.

This was my second stay at Genevieve’s and it was just as gorgeous as I remember. With such a great location right on the sea front you can’t go wrong, and the property really feels like home. Already looking forward to our next visit!

We had an amazing time staying here. The hosts were amazing, friendly, welcoming and very helpful. They sent us clear instructions for our stay and local shops and restaurants immediately following booking. Everything in the accommodation matched the description and photos, and was a lovely place to stay. The price was extremely good considering everything provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to rebook in future

The cabin was perfect for the couple of day's rest and recuperation that my partner and I needed. It is in a very quiet area with a lovely serene outlook. The weather was changeable but we were able to both sit out happily or cosy up indoors if necessary. The cabin was always warm without any need to use the heating. It was also spotless with a lovely hot rainfall shower. We didn't cook as there were lovely options to eat out locally, but the kitchen was well equipped if we'd wanted to. The absence of a TV was as liberating as we'd hoped and meant plenty of time for reading, games, time together and wildlife spotting. The appearance of the very tame local foxes at sundown was a real treat. We had a fantastic reset of our minds and bodies and were sad to leave but happy we'd chosen to stay.

Lovely stay! Hosts super nice and everything is beautiful! only stayed for one night but it was perfect. close to the beach & a couple of nice restaurants looking over the beach.

The studio is perfect for a short stay in Whitstable. It’s ideally located, literally across the road from the harbour and a couple minutes from the main shopping area, full of lovely little independent shops, restaurants and cafes. The studio has a lovely seaside, cottage vibe to it, which felt very cosy and relaxed. The main room and bathroom were both clean and very well maintained. My only slight niggle would be that the 10am checkout is a bit early, most check outs I’ve experienced are 11am but that may just be me being lazy :-) All in all I had a lovely time and I would definitely come back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to other people.

You will not be disappointed in the location of this flat and the spacious rooms. We were very comfortable and felt right at home. Also extremely responsive and accommodating host. Wish I could give 6 stars!

This is a brilliant airbnb. It is a real home from home. Everything is of a really hi spec from the bathroom to the bedding. It had everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Julie was a great host and was very flexible with the times of arrival aand departure which helped us out immensely. We were given a lovely friendly welcome and information on good places to eat etc. We were even given a bottle of milk! Cannot recommend this place highly enough, will defo be back!!

Perfect stay close to the sea. Loved the sunny kitchen overlooking the pretty garden. Easy walk to Walmer station and Deal. Lots of local area info including recommendations for places to visit, restaurants and more. Well stocked books and dvds. Excellent communication and quick to respond. Loved our stay, would stay again :)

We came for only a night but could have easily stayed longer. Beautiful location and immaculate home. We loved the view over the garden while having our morning coffee. Local pub- Blackboys Inn, is very good. A short drive, which we did due to weather, or a 30 min walk. Highly recommend this property.

Tom was a perfect host. Very friendly helpful and responsive. The accommodation is beautiful - pristine with lovely extra touches. Location is great. Really recommend

Lovely flat close to the town centre, the beach and the Harbour Arm. We drove to Folkestone and were able to park our car outside the flat free of charge for our entire stay which was great. George was a fantastic host, who responded quickly when needed - we had a problem with getting in to the flat one evening but the lock was fixed quickly by a Locksmith and George turned up to check that the problem was resolved and that we were happy. We'd definitely recommend both the flat and George to anyone looking for accommodation in the centre of Folkestone.

It was a privilege to stay in Teresa’s lovely seaside flat. From the moment I walked in the door of this bright, cozy and beautifully decorated flat it felt like I was entering someone’s home, not a typical rental unit. It was clean, well outfitted and decorated, with the most incredible view of the sea. I would most definitely recommend and hope to return myself on future visits. Thank you, Teresa!
