The place is beautiful and near food establishments. Also, the house is clean and well-ventilated. The host always takes care of us and our needs.

Just returned from our one night stay and wished we had booked longer! Very peaceful and gorgeous grounds, not too far from pubs and restaurants, which were also fab! The bed and pillows were extremely comfy and the breakfast was lovely! My mums dog also had a nice time! Very friendly hosts.

My spouse and I had a great time at Kate's place. It was beautiful, like staying in an old country estate, just what we wanted! We were treated to breakfast and helpful tips of what to see in the area, it felt like a genuine B&B which is also what we were looking for! Thanks Kate!

A lovely cottage, we have enjoyed our stay very much. There are lots of nice touches in a good thought for the comfort of guests. Warm house in every room by the time of our arrival; milk, juice, home made jam (delicious!), bread, cereals avalible; little messages that welcome and guide through the house. There are actually 3 bathrooms. All is spotless clean and fresh. We wish to return :)

I would say this is one of my favorite places in the UK, truly a hidden gem!! No one would ever regret coming here. Carol and Clive are very helpful and caring. They have a fantastic home in a lovely neighborhood with a huge, beautiful garden. You can spot sheep every day, and they take good care of every plant and even prepare food for the birds. They also leave a bowl of water outside for passing dogs, so sweet! The bed was super comfortable, I slept like a baby every night. The whole village of Lamberhurst is filled with birdsong, and every corner is peaceful and charming. I loved all the restaurants I visited, and everyone I met was genuinely friendly. I’ll definitely come back and stay longer next time. Thanks a mill for everything :)

Jan’s place is just lovely, set in beautiful countryside and stunning gardens. Peaceful and quiet. Super generous continental breakfast. Comfy huge SK bed. We enjoyed interacting with Badger the dog too. Thanks for a great stay Jan.

As always Clare went out of her way to make sure my stay was comfortable and easy .. the true definition of a “superhost” for sure .. ! If you want to be made to feel welcome and at home .. this is as close as it gets ..

All the staff were extremely friendly. Room was spacious and comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. Shower was good. Restaurant served a good variety of food. Would recommend without hesitation. Thank you for a nice stay.

The carriage suite was everything we hoped it would be and more...... Simon was very informative/knowledgeable about the history of the carriage, it was spotlessly clean and we loved the little extra touches (welcoming card, shower essentials , biscuits etc) thankyou Simon and Sally for letting us ahare your hidden gem x

Extremely comfortable stay at Battenhurst Meadow. Made to feel very welcome and breakfast was specially made for us. The food was delicious and we had access to a tea & coffee machine day & night which was an added bonus too. Would highly recommend this place to stay.

We had a comfortable stay with Judith. The location was peaceful and private with excellent secure parking which was important to us. Judith supplied us with tea, coffee, homemade cakes and jams. Thank you for your hospitality Judith.

Celest welcomed us to her home and it was such a pleasant stay! Our room was clean. Linens were fresh. All amenities are provided. Breakfast was absolutely stellar with cheese board, toast, yogurt and other food we can't remember. View from the breakfast table was a cherry on top. Celest even went out of her way to lend us a walking guide book which we had followed. We were extremely happy with everything. I would definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking for a quiet holiday with a friendly host.

I stayed at Val’s house for a night whilst I went to a wedding nearby. Val is absolutely lovely and was so helpful and responsive before getting there and whilst staying. Her house is beautiful and the room was lovely. A huge comfy bed, loads of room and the bathroom was really clean. Parking was super easy too - right outside the house in a safe gated driveway. Val made a delicious breakfast in the morning for me and I was able to say what time I would like it. She was so attentive whilst giving me space and was very relaxed with timings etc making the whole experience absolutely wonderful. I would absolutely stay there again if I’m in the area. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sarah’s beautiful barn in the heart of the Kent countryside. From the moment we booked, Sarah and her husband were incredibly friendly, communicative, and accommodating—nothing was too much trouble, and they made us feel completely at home. The barn itself is stunning—thoughtfully designed with exceptional attention to detail, combining rustic charm with modern comfort. It’s clear a lot of love has gone into creating such a peaceful and welcoming space. The views were breathtaking, and the surrounding gardens added a real sense of calm and beauty.

Such a lovely peaceful spot in the countryside. we only stayed a night as we had a nearby wedding, but would happily stay longer. Breakfast was a lovely touch also. Highly recommended

What a fabulous place to stay. We had the most wonderful time at Yvonne’s. This is a real luxury retreat. The house and gardens are absolutely beautiful set in the most glorious surrounding country side with astonishing views. They even have a tree house you can stay in! We had a wonderful welcome from Yvonne she is really friendly and super helpful. Our room was beautifully decorated and with a cosy bed and fabulous chic bathroom. We stayed at Lamberhurst to visit local gardens Pashley Manor, Great Dixter and Scotney Castle literally on the door step. There is a pub opposite the property serving fantastic food and wonderful to be able to stroll back to our room after a bottle of wine. Yvonne served a delicious breakfast with eggs from their own hens 😃. This is a place we will definitely return to especially when the pool is open. There is so much to explore in the area and this is the perfect place to stay.

If you're looking for a beautiful, spacious house in a quiet location - this is it! We were a party of 11 and yet there was plenty of room for us all to spread out and relax. There is a gorgeous kitchen, complete with Aga, extensive veranda with table/chairs/BBQ, and massive but secluded garden. It was absolutely perfect for a reunion involving lots of young adults and their not so young parents! Camber Sands and Rye are a very short drive away, but it was very tempting to just chill out and enjoy the house while we had it - would definitely come again.
