Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Highlands

Loved staying at this mountain getaway! We enjoyed the beautiful views on the deck and we were able to play 18 holes at the course that the house is overlooking. Such a cool spot and I can’t wait to be back!

My husband & I very much enjoyed our stay at this Highlands mountain home. It was clean, comfortable, and watching the long-range mountain view sunset was the perfect way to end a day of hiking and exploration. The kitchen was well stocked, internet fast and dependable, and the living room a nice place to enjoy a movie or watch the clouds move across the mountains. The location was convenient to the entire Franklin, Highlands, Cashiers area which in the spring is a playground of wildflowers and waterfalls. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants to visit and the locals were all friendly. Thank you, Rudy & Adrienne, for sharing your lovely mountain home with us. We hope to return in the not-too-distant future!

This is the perfect house for a family mountain weekend. We had lots of room, a well stocked kitchen and laundry room. It was just minutes from downtown Highlands but felt very secluded and peaceful. We would love to return.

Great home for a quick trip for my daughter and I. Everything was as clean as could be, the view from the porch in the evenings was amazing, and it was within a very quick drive to downtown Highlands. While the home isn't situated on acres of land by itself, we didn't notice the neighbors almost at all. It was very quiet and peaceful. The A/C worked like a champ, too. My one caution would be for people traveling with younger children: the second "bedroom" looks to have been converted from an entryway, and has a door directly to the outside from it. The bed is a daybed with a trundle, rather than a standalone bed, but my daughter (19 and petite) said it was comfortable. The master suite was comfortable as well. We both agreed we'd stay here again if we came to Highlands. :)

Even more beautiful than the listing pictures. The river is so peaceful and it’s so unique to have a waterfall to hike to on the property. The road is a journey but worth it. The home was cozy and the hosts had a fire ready and a sourdough loaf for us. Would come back again!

This is our fifth year staying here for Thanksgiving. Chris is a great host. We love the location, it is within walking distance to downtown. The house is very comfortable and we feel right at home there.

Kathy is an amazing host, and the accommodations are exactly like the photos. We enjoyed our stay so much we requested to extend another night! Very welcoming peaceful surroundings. Gorgeous stone FP and kitchen backsplash. Decorated beautifully. The bed was very comfortable, and the bath towels were excellent. We had everything we needed. Our dog was welcomed with treats and a dog toy. We would recommend this property to anyone wishing to be close to Brevard and the surrounding areas. We will stay again when in the neighborhood. This was the most well thought out and equipped Airbnb that we have ever stayed at! Don thought of everything you could possibly need or want! Water bottles on every table, snacks and an amazing coffee bar, an LED full length mirror in both bedrooms! A well stocked bathroom with everything you could need, just in case you forgot something. Corn hole, board games, glow in the dark gold putting green, jacuzzi and don't get me started on that breathtaking view! Truly, the most well planned Airbnb! This was the perfect location to bring our daughter up for WCU orientation. I'm so glad I already booked for her move in weekend in August! We will always stay here, if it's available, when we come and visit her at school. Such a perfect stay!

Our family is always grateful to stay at Mary Ann's beautiful property! We've stayed here multiple times now and hope to continue to do so whenever our travels take us through the Asheville area. This property is truly a gem - peaceful, beautiful mountain view, a tree swing, lots of greenspace for the kiddos to run around outside after long car rides, comfortable big beds, a lovely bathroom, cozy living room and lots of much appreciated extras in the kitchen like KCups and creamers, pop tarts, waffles, water and juice. And if you ever need anything, Mary Ann is super responsive. It truly feels like a respite for us along long family trips, like getting to stop at a home away from home. We love this special place! I have lived in a lot of places over the past year while traveling for school, and this was the best of the bunch. Everything was great, including a clean comfortable space, available toiletries, efficient appliances, simple check in and out, amazing 10/10 mountain view.

I really enjoyed my stay, it felt very homey. The bed is comfy, the area is peaceful and quiet. Owners are communicative. It was my first time, I would stay here again as I love visiting the Tallulah Gorge area. The cell signal is very good once arriving, there is no service on the short drive from town up the mountain.

Amazing stay in Barbara’s garage apartment. Our daughter loved feeding the pigs and we loved being surrounded by the woods. Excellent communication and ease of stay. Would stay here again and again

I loved everything about my stay at Hi-Horse! I was traveling solo for this trip for work and needed the peace and serenity of Hi-Horse. The views were magical and the hot tub was so relaxing! Tanya went the extra mile to make my stay extra special. There was a sweet note and chilled bottle of wine upon my arrival. She also created a wonderful digital guest manual that was so helpful as a guide for outings and where to eat. I would highly recommend Hi-Horse to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway and I will be back!

We highly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. We enjoyed the covered screened in porch, as it rained for much of our stay. The property is beautiful and in a great location. Damien is helpful and friendly and responded quickly. Overall this is one of the nicer Air Bnb's we have stayed in. We will definitely be back and stay at one of his properties in the future.

Wendy waited for us for check in at night and was always available when we needed something. The place was better than the pictures. Beautifull views and really clean. golf cart was fun and games room in clubhouse kept us entertained in rainy days. beautiful community and people

This place is a great stay for anyone looking for a place centrally located in the Cashiers/Sapphire area. Easy and scenic walk around lake Fairfield. Great Mountain View from back patio. Easy access to Sapphire National Golf Course. The place is very spacious with room to spread out for the whole family and it is equipped very well. Roland is responsive and checked in on us periodically to make sure everything was well. I highly recommend staying here!

We really enjoyed our weekend! The house was beautiful, spacious, clean and had everything we needed. And the view was breathtaking! It was the perfect place for our whole family to gather and celebrate our son’s graduation from WCU!

I originally booked a different property with BCCR, but a representative contacted me the morning of my check-in to let me know the hot tub wasn’t working at that property. They gave me several alternative options to choose from that were available and had working hot tubs. I was not charged more for the switch even though the one I chose was slightly more expensive. My stay ended up being very pleasant despite it not going as planned, and I was impressed by BCCR’s prompt and helpful communication. The gifted bottle of champagne for NYE was also a nice touch. I would recommend BCCR and the Snuggle Inn to friends and family.

Eric was always quick to respond to my questions. Was willing to give genuine suggestions. Was very easy to talk to. Loved the location and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Such a peaceful retreat in a beautiful setting. Waves of nostalgia in every nook and cranny of this house. Our family thoroughly enjoyed admiring the pictures, decorations, books and furniture! Preparing meals in the kitchen was an absolute treat. We have never stayed in such a well-equipped kitchen. The serving platters, cooking utensils, cookware and glassware were enjoyed by all! The home was clean and so peaceful. The fireplace was just icing on the cake! Everyone enjoyed our family trip and we hope to return!

My family enjoyed a long, relaxing weekend at Craig's Encore at the end of Lake Nantahala. We have stayed in many places, and this home was truly exceptional with every detail considered. We enjoyed watching Lake Nantahala change throughout the day, paddled in the kayaks, swam, soaked in the hot tub, relaxed and had fun outings renting a boat one day and tubing down the Nantahala River the next. It was truly memorable, and the only drawback was the long drive in over gravel, but that's what makes it so peaceful and remote. The lake was never busy and such a big change from so many crowded and touristed spots. We hope we made a good impression and will be welcomed back. This is truly a loved and cherished family home, and we appreciate Craig sharing it with us.
