Wonderful historic house in a wonderful historic district! Everything about this house, the location, and the host is way above average! It deserves six stars, but five is the most allowed! The house has wonderful charm and historic appeal, and I loved the large living spaces plus little nooks to sit and read in. Air conditioning worked well, which is a big plus for historic houses. The back yard is also a great place to sit in the shade and enjoy the settings.

The Turtle Lodge was the perfect place for us to stay for our visit to see our son, very pregnant (expecting any day)daughter in law, and 3.5 yr old grand daughter. Mark was very accommodating which provided us flexibility in checking in, and throughout our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the place was clean and spacious. We will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay. The baked goods were phenomenal and priced low for the amazing quality. Could have used a toaster, but otherwise, more than accommodating. Plentiful fridge and freezer room, very private and relaxed space. We only wish our schedule during our visit would have allowed us to spend more time in the great space and get to know our hosts more. Thank you
