Two nights at Lu and Dan's place. The family are very welcoming and friendly. Having read all the reviews about "Lu's excellent breakfast", we were so looking forward to it, especially as we had a back-to-back appointments the next day. However, upon arrival, Lu told us "no breakfast." she did not want to do breakfast anymore! I was not informed about this during my communication with Dan, and we were rather disappointed as we had to spend time dashing out the next morning looking for somewhere to eat. This aside, we still highly recommend this place which is clean, quiet and comfortable. The bonus also the fact you can park your car right outside your window!

This really is an idyllic spot. While attached to the owners house, it feels private. The barn itself is very tastefully done and was a larger space than I’d anticipated. The garden area with seating is pretty and our dog enjoyed herself exploring away. It’s off the beaten track in a very picturesque spot ideal for great walking. The owners (who we briefly met & who were helpful & polite) have been upfront about the state of the road leading to the property. In reality, it’s only the hill part of this which is ‘testy’ if you don’t have an SUV/4WD (& we don’t). We decided from day 2 to park the car in Houghton - if you come out of the property, turn right, it’s a 2 minute walk to Houghton. Very close to the start of this public path in Houghton on the main road is public off road parking for a couple of cars. This worked for us but obviously it’s public parking and you can’t guarantee a space & it’s at the owners risk. All in, we had a lovely couple of days - thank you!

Glyn and Harriet are extremely welcoming and very helpful - both before the stay and during. Aella is very comfortable, everything was very clean and there was lots of helpful information about nearby food places as well as things to do. Very peaceful, the walk to the beach is exactly as advertised! Thank you for an amazing stay, can't wait to come back!

This was the perfect location for my needs. The accommodation is clean, warm, cosy and situated in beautiful countryside yet close enough to all major routes. Catherine was a fantastic host with clear, friendly and timely communications with no request or suggestion left unanswered. I only wish I could have stayed longer,

We had a fantastic night's stay after a very long day of walking. Everything lived up to and exceeded our expectations including the beautiful setting! The beds were super comfy (which was much appreciated after our walk), shower excellent and all the facilities were perfect. We had a delicious meal at the Boot Inn (highly recommend) and enjoyed Rosie's lovely breakfast on the terrace. The packed lunch kept us going on our walk to Winchester the next day. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful village and hope to return.

Visited for the second time and had another fantastic stay. Clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Close to a friend's wedding venue and were able to pick up anything needed due to a number of nearby shops and amenities. Such a lovely area and friendly and helpful hosts - thank you.

Lovely peaceful weekend away. The place was very clean and beds and pillows extremely comfortable. Both lulu and russ were very welcoming and helpful. We used the hot tub on the Saturday and would recommend booking this. The location is great - very peaceful and a 5min drive from the beach and pubs in walking distance. We look forward to returning!

Natalie and mom Chris were very helpful to my mom and I. We had some extra luggage that made it difficult commute on the little sidewalks. Chris helped us out with transportation, as we assumed we could walk places that weren't actually safe. Very responsive hosts. The accommodation was very spacious, bright and comfortable. There is a grocery store in walking distance too, which was excellent. We enjoyed Stonehenge very much. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Natalie and Chris!

Amaizing annexe. Kim's place is located in the quiet neighbourhood. In a walking distance to beautiful river Hamble and the local marina. It is specious, spotless and very well equipped. Decorated with a great taste. This lovely place is provided with everything you need even for a longer stay. It is conveniently placed close to Tesco extra and bus stop to Southampton and Portsmouth. Kim and Ian were very friendly and always happy to help. We had a wonderful stay and we will definitely return. Kate&Robert

Perfect and exactly like the ad. Coral was a fantastic host. Perfect location for our wedding at parley manor! Lovely Chinese + Tesco express just minutes away too!

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation is compact but so well thought out and Angie makes everything easy and welcoming (tea, coffee,milk, granola, toiletries etc). The bed was very comfy. As the weather was lovely we were able to enjoy the outside space. Parking was welcome and it was an easy walk into the centre.

We had a lovely stay at Laura’a place, the bed was so comfortable and we enjoyed using the hot tub! Lovely and clean and had everything we need it, if we ever came to Bournemouth again we would definitely stay here again!

Really nice place to stay and recharge batteries. great interior, comfy mattresses and cosy bedding. Woods just outside the window and good size pool. Host always responded within minutes. For music fans -great sound system and large TV. Close to dog friendly beach, shops and city centre. We highly recommend this place!

Wow, such a lovely location, very peaceful and the perfect place to relax and recharge. The Hayloft had everything we needed. The welcome hamper, fresh flowers, milk in the fridge and fresh eggs from their rescue chickens was so thoughtful. Lovely comfy bed and amazing views onto the horses in the fields. When we arrived we were more than happy. Spotlessly clean and a really fresh smell inside. Everything we needed was available with added extras of a bottle of wine/chocolates which was a nice touch. (Stanley our sausage dog even had special treats and settled in well on his first holiday). Will definitely be rebooking if we visit the area again as it was very central for walking into the village to visit the lovely pub gardens. Thank you Iain and Lydia for having such a nice place to visit. Will hopefully be back very soon.

Super friendly host and a lovely place. Had everything we could possibly need and felt right at home. Bed was super comfy and big and the blinds blocked out so much light so we had one of the best sleeps. Thank you very much, would definitely recommend

Lovely place. We had a lovely long weekend at Louisa’s place. 4 adults, 2 children and a baby. The location is walkable to both entertainment complex’s. It’s very peaceful as it’s set back from the main roads through the site. It was very clean & spacious. Louisa was very responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Really good experience. The property is on a quiet residential development on the northeast side of Winchester about 20 minutes walk from the centre of town. Mark met us on arrival and showed us around. The property is on the first floor up one flight of stairs with its own entrance. It was bright and clean throughout with everything needed for a short stay. We particularly liked the nice welcoming touches such as fresh milk and butter in the fridge, the loaf of bread, honey, tea and coffee.

The perfect place! We were going to a wedding nearby and Mark gave us a lift there on Saturday morning, and helped us book a taxi for the way back. Jemma showed us round The Snug, complete with G&Ts, milk and snacks. She also booked us a table at the pub because, it being folk weekend, it was busy. Both Jemma and Mark couldn't have been more helpful. The bed was super comfy; we slept really well. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We stayed 2 nights, the accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The welcome brownies were yummy and the milk in the fridge was a life saver as we forgot to bring any! Looking to stay next year as we go to Dogstival and it was an easy drive to Burley. Lymington is a lovely dog friendly town with great cafes and pubs. Milford on Sea is good for a long walk along the beach with a view of the Isle of Wight and the Needles

We had a great stay at the lodge - we were visiting for a wedding on the village green so needed somewhere close to sleep and this was perfect! Super comfy bed, clean and large bathroom and cosy living room. We didn’t need to use the kitchen but all was pristine. Great to have an iron/ironing board for last minute wedding outfit sorting too! Check in was very easy and check out was great and at a later time than we originally expected. Thanks so much.

Fantastic property, just what we needed for the month. Clean and tidy, property very warm which was a godsend when you have ben outside all day. I would definitely come back again.
