Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Hambantota

One of our best stays in Sri Lanka! The brothers welcomed us with warm smiles from the minute we stepped on the property. The room was simple and clean with a good bed, mosquito net, ceiling fan and excellent bathroom. The location is amazing as it is a short walk to the city and and touristy area. The natural swimming area was lovely and only a 15 minute walk away. the beach is not even a 5 minute walk away. Guyan (one of the brothers) even came with us surfing one day! A lovely quiet homestay where we felt safe and welcomed. Would definitely recommend!

Hands down the best place we have stayed in over our month we spent in Sri Lanka. Sadly, we stayed only one night but will gladly recommend this place for longer stays! The place is amazing, with quiet surroundings, immersed in jungle. Room is equipped with everything you need, and sparkling clean. The staff is very kind, attentive, and always helpful. The host himself cared for us very much, and is a true expert in running a hospitality business. Highly recommended!

This was one of the best places we stayed during our trip! The staff were amazing and kind and they brought my sisters breakfast in bed when she was sick with a cold! They also drove us to the store and the city free of charge whenever we wanted to go somewhere. They handled the safari part amazingly and all we had to do was to tell them that we wanted to go to safari, they fixed the rest. They were very very kind and it was a pleasure to stay here.

Paddy House Villa in Ranna is a sort of unique place in the deep south of Sri Lanka. Its location facing a paddy land deserves 5 out of 5. Even during the hot times of the year one can expect cool breeze blowing across the first floor flat. If you need to experience better breeze you can climb up to the roof top, especially in the morning and evening. There's a lot to recommend about the design of the flat by Suresh and his wife. Kitchenette has almost everything needed for a short stay (or even a very long stay). Large front room combines a lobby with comfy sofa and a round table with chairs and a king size bed with back -friendly firm mattress. There's a bunk bed by the side. The other room has a comfortable double bed. The balcony facing the paddy land connects with both rooms through separate doors. Kitchenette is tucked between the two rooms. Shared, spacious bathroom has two doors so that it can be used by occupants of both rooms. The arrangement of the flat makes it supremely suitable for families with up to 6 members. The property is not far from all the attractions in the region. Rekawa beach famous for turtle watching is about 6 km, Ussangoda national park and Kalmetiya lagoon known to birders are about 20 km each from Paddy House villa. Botanical gardens and the open zoo are also within reasonably short distance. The owner Suresh is a very helpful person. His family makes wonderful neighbors! He has plans to expand by adding another flat in front of the existing one, near the entrance to the property. Let me conclude by stating that it's one of the best places to stay in Ranna area if your group is the right size. It's great value for money too.

Indika was the perfect host. The night before our arrival he called us to make sure we were all set. During our stay he went out of his way to drive us to the Sinharaja and back (a 3hr round trip) for a small fee, and waited for us whilst we completed our hike. The hotel is immaculately clean and surrounded by lush green mountains and the chef makes great food. We were most surprised on the morning of check-out, that Indika had arranged for our hiking boots to be cleaned and rid of dead leeches (from the hike the day before). It was certainly above and beyond all expectations.

This place was good! Hot water, clean sheets and towels. Close to the beach and city centre. Also restaurants and shops are near. Stayed there three nights and would go again.

Lovely private lodge with access to a shared swimming pool - all very clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and accommodating and helped us to organise a safari tour. They even brought us bananas and biscuits to take on our early morning tour. The free breakfast is delicious too.

We had a wonderful stay, highly highly recommended! It’s paradise, located at a beautiful lagoon with lots of bird watching and just a stone throw away from a beautiful beach. At night we witnessed sea turtles, babies and we saw a turtle building a nest and laying eggs, amazing experience. The family that runs the hotel is very sweet and welcoming and they made us a great breakfast viewing the lagoon. Last but not least, beautiful rooms and a great pool with beds!

We had a wonderful stay! Lasantha was really kind, always smiling, and made us feel completely at home. Everything was spotless, and the service was excellent. We especially appreciated the delicious home-cooked meals prepared by his wife, such a treat! The safari, driven by his brother, was also an amazing experience, with plenty of information about the wildlife and nature around us. Thank you for such a peaceful and welcoming stay. We truly felt cared for and will keep lovely memories of this place! 🙏🌿

Nisha is a shining STAR,he's the best host in Sri Lanka, extremely helpful, doing the extra mile to assist you, guest house in a jungle paradise garden,rooms equipped with hot water, air conditioning and all the amenities needed, amazing cleanliness, delicious food made by his family,stunning environment around with the most beautiful beaches in the whole island up to 5 minutes by tuktuk(Nisha's one), nearest beautiful beach one minute walking distance.Book with closed eyes, i will come back!

Très bon hébergement, accueil sympathique. Pour un safari il faut être prudent un éléphant avec sa trompe voudra explorer la caisse du 4x4 .il faudrait qu'il soit grillagé. Nous avons frôlés le drame

super maison coloniale, propre et agréable, authentique. Vue sur mer du rooftop, et petit balcon donnant sur une rue calme et verdoyante. Le quartier est tranquille, proche du centre et de ses commerce mais aussi juste à côté des plus belle plages avec vue imprenable sur la mer. La chambre est confortable, l'hôtel est paisible, les hôtes sont agréables et toujours prêts à aider. J'ai prolongé mon séjour et je reviendrai volontiers!

Lovely brand new little cottage in a private area of Udawalawa. Very private location in the peaceful jungle. The property was easy to find and walking distance (or short tuktuk) to restaurants. Hasith was very friendly and helpful, he was able to arrange everything for us, including safari, spa, and a driver to another city. We would visit again!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub in Unakuruwa. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, das Essen super lecker und unser Ansprechpartner vor Ort war eine große Hilfe. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden bestimmt wiederkommen ☺️

We loved staying at Slow Villa. The property was decorated to a very high standard. Very comfortable bed and a peaceful place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful and prepared delicious breakfasts. The home made jams and ice creams were amazing. Slow Villa is situated on a steep hill which allows for cool breezes but is close to 3 amazing beaches. 2 within walking distance. We also loved how quiet the area was yet there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. We would definitely recommend.

Kalon & Amila were fantastic hosts and welcomed us warmly. The accommodation was clean and well equipped (we were also allowed to use the kitchen and washing machine) and we especially loved the rooftop terrace. Amila shared some recommendations on what to do in Tangalle and transportation. Thank you both for making our stay so pleasant!

Die Unterkunft ist ein kleiner Traum. Ein paar Schritte zu einem ruhigen Strand, man kann also jederzeit zum Schwimmen gehen. Manju, ein hervorragender Gastgeber, bietet ein supertolles Frühstück an, und wenn man bei ihm zu Abend isst, dann wird man hervorragend bekocht. Auch hat er uns bei jeglichen Fragen weiterhelfen können. Das waren wirklich tolle Tage für die ich sehr dankbar bin. Sehr gerne komme ich wieder. Vielen lieben Dank!
