The owner was very welcoming, gave us a detailed introduction to yala saferi and provided a reasonable price.It was a comfortable stay.

The villa was the most perfect place to relax and unwind. Staying on the upper floor felt like living in a tree house while the whole property was reserved exclusively for ourselves. The hosts were very kind, attentive to our every wish including breakfast, dinner, made on request. Above all, the food was delicious. Our three days stay was everything or even better than we could have hoped for and relaxed after our adventurous days in Sri Lanka. We discovered a beautiful beach, called Jungle beach nearby which we have had only for ourselves. It felt like a dream. We also ordered the massage which family provides and it was also great. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

For this price it is a very nice room. Communicable host who came to meet us. Offered a good safari tour for a good price. All explained and showed. He treated us to sweets, was very hospitable. After the safari he organized transportation to the bus station. Nice place if you want to visit safari.

Even though Theja was not there, she paid long distance charges to talk to us from England, and make sure we were well taken care of. We would recommend this place for everyone. We have two small children and they were well entertained on the beautiful back deck that Theja has. Great recommendations for safari and the town.

Indika was a very friendly and welcoming host. When we went out on the first evening he was waiting at the gate for us when we got back, this is because we are quite elderly and he was concerned about us in the dark. Really nice caring man. His wife and daughter were also very friendly and very hospitable. His daughter made us breakfast each morning and it was very enjoyable and very filling. Water was provided in the fridge, and t bags. There was also a kettle so we were able to make ourselves a nice cup of tea when we wanted one. We went to the elephant Sanctuary which is a must to go to. Go early to get the best view. Indika recommend The Hungry Monkey Restaurant, which we went to and we felt like a burger for a change from Sri Lankan food, it was a good choice. The next two nights we went to a different restaurant which hadn’t long opened and we had very nice Sri Lankan food. This was called C/B Coffee Barista. We had a very enjoyable stay with this family. recommend most definite

I highly recommend this place! The room was super clean and the bed really comfortable, equipped with everything you might need and a great balcony to chill in the evening. It’s perfectly located between Hiriketiya and Tangalle, which makes it easy to explore all the beaches in between. Close by there is Malewa Beach, beautiful and still untouched. A special thank you to Supun and his wife, who were the kindest hosts. They always made sure everything was perfect. Supun also shared great local tips that really made our stay even better. We felt truly welcomed and cared for.

Beautiful room that was so clean and smelled so good. The location was perfect - across the street from the beach and a short walk into town. We had the best time - thank you for the delicious breakfasts and outstanding hospitality!

The Family were the most dedicated hosts we have ever met. So kind and eager to make us feel at home. They welcomed us with fresh coconuts and always asked if we wanted coffee or just anything. They really deserve the best. Thank you so much!

Our stay at Mahalia's place was just great! We stayed here for four nights and felt right at home. The design and embedding of the complex in the surrounding nature is wonderful and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The location is fantastic for exploring probably the most idyllic beaches of Sri Lanka on foot and visiting some great restaurants. In addition, the yoga sessions included in the price in the morning offer a great opportunity to actively start the day and/or try something new. In addition, they also offer meditation courses that I highly recommend to everyone. The owners are very young and know what travelers value most. Each room provided two bottle of water, he also arrange tea or coffee for us. Janaka is really helpful person, I tried to ask him to give some suggestions to us in our last day in Colombo, he answer quickly and provide good suggestions!! Really helpful house owner!!!

This was without a doubt the most welcoming and the best place we visited in Sri Lanka so far. Communication was golden. The place was beautiful. The host is legendary. They woke up at 4am to make us breakfast before safari, have offered welcoming drinks and leaving coffee as well as fruit from their garden. Very interesting people and easy to talk to. Has provided a scavenger hunt of the fruit around his garden, accommodated with setting up a new mattress and even let us hold and play with their newborn puppies!! I can guarantee this is the rarest find in Sri Lanka, worth every fraction of a penny and worth every part of a 10/10 rating. Highly highly recommend.
