This place is a paradise! This family is adorable and always very available. We had an excellent stay in this place, the pool is magnificent, the private beach downstairs is superb too. The apartment was spotless and incredibly spacious. The views were stunning and the pool was a real delight. The housekeeping team (Rehan and Rakshmi), security staff ( Indika) and gardener were so friendly and clearly take a great pride in looking after the place and their guests. Gayan welcomed us and was a great driver for us with lots of local advice of places to see and also restaurants. We went to Kokomos and The Cactus Lounge and had delicious food at both. Lisa was very responsive to messages. We felt like we were staying in a boutique hotel and had a fantastic time staying at Khomba Lodge Sunbird apartment. Highly recommend it.

Great villa in a little sleepy village away from tourists. The bed was very comfortable, the wifi worked great, and Umpali and his family made us feel very comfortable. The property is situated on small local fishing beach and there is some trash and plastic in the water. We tried to do our part and picked up and threw away trash every time we went in and out of the water. The water itself was warm and calm and there are nice chairs and cushions provided. Meals are very good, especially breakfast but none of it is provided for free so remember to bring cash and discuss if you want full board each day. A tuk tuk can be arranged to Dikwella for 600lkr ($4)

Great location, great beach and good food

We passed 1300 km on motorbikes and it was the better place where we were staying! Clean rooms, kitchen and small garden when you can take a rest. Saman and his family very friendly owners! They gave us support all along the line! You can ask him everything. The best peoples that we met during all our trip!

We stayed here for over a week with our three children (5, 6 and 9 years old) and enjoyed the time very much. The highlight was the fantastically beautiful, almost deserted beach right outside the door. We felt particularly comfortable thanks to Suresh and Ruhini, the warm hosts: Suresh organized everything about excursions and transportation, Ruhini spoiled us every morning with a delicious breakfast. Our kids had a lot of fun bodyboarding while watching the authentic village life and fishermen on the beach. The cottage was clean and charming, although sometimes a bit outdated – but we were in the middle of nature: monkeys in the garden, bats in the evening, fireflies in the dark. For us, it was a perfect blend of adventure, recreation, and authenticity. The value is right, and we'd come back anytime.

This is an extremely cozy house! It is located a little bit deep from the main roads, so it is silence and calm here. I enjoyed here with birds, palms, nature sounds. I was surprised with small quantity of mosquitos here, but for your safety hosts provide you with mosquito net. Oh, God, how it's wonderful to sleep with open doors and windows here - it's smell, sounds..perfect! And to be honest I even didn't use a fan during night's, because the temperature was absolutely comfortable. The villa has rather good WiFi and if you are a remote worker it will suite to you (the day temperature is also good when you open windows and use fan, there is no necessity in AC). Hosts are absolutely cute and caring about you! But villa is located rather far from any shops and beaches (apr. 10 min by bike) - so bike or tuktuk are absolutely necessary here, and there is not a problem to reach this location. Having traveled the entire coast from Galle, I do not want to change this place of living.

The Namaskara Villa is pure heaven! Large and clean with very comfortable king size bed. Two toilets, spacious bathroom with hot shower and stars above your head was absolute dream. The kitchen is very well equiped for cooking, but we didn't cook at all, because we took advantage of possibility of having daily lunch and dinner from Malkanthí who is excellent chef! Malkanthí and Ruhunu took care of us not only with the dinners and lunches, they also did cleaning and shopping for us to keep our fridge full, because there is no supermarket nearby the villa. The garden is nice, full of wildlife and the ocean is just in front of the place. It is not so private as I expected, there were some fishermans nearby every day.

Nilan's family were very lovely and welcoming. lots of love and care went into building the guesthouse and it's little garden. they were kind enough to involve us in their new year celebration.

We’ve been at the redhill yala for two nights and had a wonderful time. Thusitha was very helpful and easy to communicate with. He even helped us contacting a Safari Guide that I booked. If you’re interested in doing a safari, he can arrange it! The staff at the property are very friendly and always willing to help whenever needed. The rooms are simple but very clean, the food was very delicious and enough for a whole army :D

Ranga&Alicia's AirBnb is a true oasis in the green. From the terrace we could watch fireflies in the beautiful starry sky in the evening. In the morning, the peacock "Frederico" always greeted us 😊 Ranga is such a likeable and lovely host. He even drove us to the Tangelle bus station on the last day with his tukTuk. The beach is only 5 min on foot. From here we explored the fantastic area: hikes on the km-long beach/ colorful, versatile animals/bus rides by public bus, e.g. to Hirikitiya or to Rekawa Beach...the nature around Tangelle is breathtakingly beautiful! Best AirBnb we had on our 4 week trip in Sri Lanka: cozy mattress/ large room/great terrace/drinking water/ good water pressure and a paradise wellness bathroom... We felt very comfortable and safe and would come back anytime We wish Ranga&Alicia all the best! Thank you for everything!
