Waterfront holiday rentals in Guanacaste Province

My husband and I took our first family vacation with our 2.5 year old son, and Pedro's home was the perfect family-friendly location. First, the home itself felt even nicer than shown in the pictures. The home was spotless, spacious, and included everything we needed for our stay. Our toddler was delighted by all of the beach and pool toys on the property, and the pool has a large shallow ledge that made swimming much more accessible to him. The pool was cleaned every morning by the groundskeeper who was very friendly. The property is fully gated, and we felt safe and comfortable knowing that Pedro and his wife lived on the third floor, and the groundskeeper also lived on the property. That said, our stay still felt private. The location and views simply cannot be beat. Each evening, the sun sets directly in front of the property over the ocean. Playa Hermosa as a whole was quiet, calm, and welcoming, and I'd argue that Pedro's home is the best property there.

Great place to stay. Central location and very convenient check in and check out process. Security on the premises were also very nice. Really great we could use the pool as well!

Clean, bright, airy apartment right on Potrero beach. Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, and a very well-equipped, spacious kitchen. 5-10 minute walk—via the beach if we wanted—to several excellent restaurants and a serviceable grocery store. Loved watching pelicans dive for fish from the balcony and the stunning sunsets.

100% recommended. The accommodation is as in the photos and the description, very clean and well maintained. Manfred was very kind at all times, the check-in and check-out was super easy and accessible. The area is quiet and peaceful in a local neighborhood of El Coco.

Great remote location for epic surf. Airbnb is modern, well stocked, and you can’t beat being steps from Marbella.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Roble Sabana, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience! The check-in process was incredibly easy and hassle-free. The apartment itself was spotless and well-maintained and had a beautiful ocean view. I appreciated the attention to detail in cleanliness, making it feel like a home away from home. One of the highlights of my stay was the friendly neighbors. The community vibe was warm and welcoming, making it easy to connect with others and feel right at home. Phenomenal stay! Stop searching and book this place—seriously. This house is absolutely spectacular—pictures don’t even come close to capturing how beautiful and serene it is. The view? Unreal. Just breathtaking. It’s only a minute walk to the beach and a charming local restaurant, and just 5 minutes to town and stores. Benton was amazing—responsive, kind, and incredibly helpful. He connected us with a private chef, in-home massages, and local excursions, making everything effortless and personal. We loved watching the wildlife—colorful frogs at night and giant lizards during the day—and the pool was the perfect temperature 24/7. This home is perfect for couples looking for total privacy, but we can’t wait to return with our kids next time. My husband and I travel frequently, and this was hands down one of the best vacations we’ve ever had. Thank you, Benton, for such an unforgettable stay. WONDERFUL owners and home! This was a great spot in a safe place. Just minutes away from Playa Conchal and Playa Flamingo. The communication was A+++ and so was their home. Google maps got a little confused about the address so it took a few extra minutes but the owner helped immediately. It is a beautiful place and completely fenced/gated. Highly recommend!

Pictures dont do justice to how amazing the place is. The view is simply breathtaking and Rocio took care of everything as well as giving us some pretty good recommendations for places around the house.

If you find yourself in Puntarenas and have a taste for history and true hospitality, Casa Fait is the place to go. The house itself is beautifully and carefully restored to it’s early 20th century splendour, which is completely surreal given today’s reality of the fisherman town. The hosts are beyond welcoming and shared a lot of stories, recommendations, anecdotes and wisdom. It has been a great experience on our journey through Costa Rica.

Andres place was the perfect getaway for my wife and myself. We stayed there about a week. The place is absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. We could hear the Howler Monkeys at times and listen to the birds and the rain was the best. Very close to all the amenities, plenty of restaurants, shopping, and beaches. PERFECT!!!

Eugenia's home was amazing. We didn't want to leave. Perfect place for family. Just be sure to have an appropriate vehicle to get around. The roads are tricky

Not much to add beyond the countless rave reviews here. The restorative and serene view and location is obviously the best quality, but the condo itself is comfortable and offers all the comforts of home as well. We loved the empty beach, the sound of the surf, and the cackle of the tropical birds. If you want crowds and traffic jams, head to Tamarindo. If you yearn for quiet and a vintage Costan Rican experience, I recommend without hesitation.

Amazing Family Vacation at Playa Flamingo! Our stay at Cody and Anna’s wonderful Airbnb in Playa Flamingo was truly unforgettable. The property is perfect for families—spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. My three teens loved the nearby beache and all the fun activities, while I appreciated the peaceful surroundings and beautiful ocean. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially with his awesome guidebook. They made us feel right at home. I highly recommend this awesome place for anyone looking for a relaxing, fun and family-friendly getaway in Costa Rica. We can't wait to return!

Ron’s condo was exactly what we were hoping it would be - relaxing, quiet and in close proximity to all the amenities we were looking for. We ventured out to Playa Flamingo and Playa Prieta (absolutely stunning and secluded) and although both were beautiful, the beach right out front of the condo remained our favorite. Ron was a fantastic host and the permanent residents at the condos were welcoming and friendly. Oh and the air conditioning is fantastic.

We love going to Reserva Conchal and Daphne's place had everything we wanted, from plenty of bedrooms, to a great location and view overlooking the golf course. Once inside the reserve, we had access to both The Westin and The W and all the amenities they had to offer. Great place to spend a weekend.

Beautiful apartment with everything you need.

We LOVED Casa Besito! The condo is clean, nicely decorated, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. Ray was extremely helpful with any questions we had. We also appreciated that he sent us a list of local recommendations. We tried many of them and loved them all. The condo is within walking distance to numerous restaurants, but having a rental car was helpful to explore places outside of the Flamingo Marina area. We were able to book catamaran snorkeling tour that left right out of the marina. It truly was the perfect location! We wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

What a beautiful place!! The condo was everything like or better than the pictures . The location and the views from the deck and patio could not be closer to the ocean . The grounds and pool were very well taken care of . The white sand beach was wonderful to walk on every morning . Such a clean and safe beach . The concierge was very responsive and helped book some excursions and a golf cart for us . The workers also set up chairs with towels under an umbrella everyday. The condo itself was extremely comfortable . The kitchen was well stocked . We made dinner there 3 nights . We did walk to Coco Loco for dinner 2 nights and it is right next to the property . We preferred walking to the other places ( Margaritaville , JPs bar and grill and Hibiscus Bagel and cafe) in the day since the streets are narrow and not well lit. We did not rent a car so rented a golf cart to go to the grocery store and drive to the marina . We had a wonderful and relaxing stay .

Great condo, plenty of space and easy access to the beach via shuttle! Comfy beds and all amenities you need ! I would love to stay again!
