Holiday rentals with lake access in Guanacaste Province

Our family has a wonderful stay at Ulfran’s! Ulfran cut down coconuts for our family and taught us how to open them. The property is beautiful and filled with birds and monkeys. We loved being woken up by howler monkeys every morning! The location was very close to many activities… Sloth’s paradise down the road was the highlight of our trip! We saw frogs, eyelash viper snakes and sloths up close and in their natural habitat (not a zoo or caged area - completely natural).

Alexandre has been a fantastic host. We stayed at his other property and he is always responsive and provides great recommendations of things to see in the area. The area is very peaceful and you can see the lake from the house. Nice place to visit for a few days.

We had the best time! We had a few small plumbing issues, Joel was immediately responsive and problems were solved within an hour. Restaurants: Rustico, Rural (Tamarindo), Lola’s. Beaches: playa Flamingo & Playa Avellana were our favorites. House is super family friendly with the open concept.

Very comfortable, clean place with all the necessary utensils to prepare food, very attentive host with quick response and ease to solve queries, 100% recommended accommodation.

If you find yourself in Puntarenas and have a taste for history and true hospitality, Casa Fait is the place to go. The house itself is beautifully and carefully restored to it’s early 20th century splendour, which is completely surreal given today’s reality of the fisherman town. The hosts are beyond welcoming and shared a lot of stories, recommendations, anecdotes and wisdom. It has been a great experience on our journey through Costa Rica.

Casa Malecu was absolutely stunning! We had an amazing stay. The view of Lake Arenal was beautiful, as were the grounds and the house. Lots of big windows to see in all directions. The highlight of our stay was the main shower that had a floor to ceiling window looking out onto Lake Arenal. Well-maintained and nicely decorated. We wish we had booked for longer. We did have an issue with our key; it broke our first day there. However, Pedro was quick to our rescue and we were with a new key in minutes. Also, the place is a little difficult to find since there are no addresses. Can’t simply plug it into an online map, instead you have to rely on landmarks. A good thing we didn’t drive in at night like we had originally intended or we probably would not have found it. For our purposes, it was close to the various areas we wanted to visit such as Arenal, La Fortuna and a 2-hour drive. We will definitely come back!!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The villa was very spacious and comfortable, and had everything we needed. Would definitely book again.

The view over the lake arenal is just phenomenal! The house has a huge garden with some fruits, herbs & vegetables wich we were allowed to eat. We can for sure recommend.

What a great location and atmosphere and the Studio and garden is perfect with all necesities for a true beachfront vacation .. Definitely one of our best stays in Costa Rica. Sonny and Rita are the nicest most welcoming people! We will be back again as their Airbnb is a mew destination for us!!

Teako House was a really great stay, incredible value for the money, and a truly local experience in a real tico neighborhood that is located in a lush peaceful valley. The apartment was simple but surprisingly spacious and upgrades have been made since these pictures so I found things a bit more spruced up than I expected! From the little terrace you can see the surrounding teak farm and watch the clouds roll by (literally, you're in a cloud forest sometimes!). And the host Juan Carlos is a super nice local surfer and business owner who is stoked to offer up recommendations, etc. if you want them. I had to get some work done during my stay so I particularly appreciated the fast wifi and gorgeous relaxing nature view from the dining table that I used as my desk.

Paola was so responsive and kind. Her home was perfect for us with space and the location was great. We needed one night close to Rio Celeste adventra and this was it! I do wish we had more time here to take advantage of the farm property.

our stay was great. it is remote and quite. we loved to just hang out and enjoy the life. we also saw a lot of animals which was especially cool for our kids. even so most of them where poisoning 🙃 but this seems to be very normal here in Costa Rica. we would definitely recommend this escape. pura vida
