Monthly Rentals in Glentrool

Cozy apartment in a small village „away from it all“. It is part of the Glentrool Hive and although you’re in the middle of the small village, you have complete privacy. The apartment is relatively new with perfectly working electricity, heating, water, kitchen, WiFi, so self-catering was easy, but it is also very cosy and comfy. The surrounding area is stunning with a lot of options for hiking and biking, but also not too „touristy“ and busy. Hope to come back one day!

The cottage has been beautifully renovated and decorated and makes an excellent self catering retreat. We loved our short stay and found the position very convenient, being close to town facilities yet within easy reach of Wigtown and the Machars coast, plus Glen Trool area northwards. The cottage is close to a road but very very quiet inside. Its lovely looking out on the walled garden and lawn. So nice too to be able to wander round the garden. There was a lovely smell of roses and other blooms. In late evening, sitting in the garden with a clear sky and a nearly full moon rising was romantic and something special to remember. We slept well in a big comfortable bed and the shower worked well in the clean well designed bathroom. We also appreciated fast WiFi, and later on we enjoyed having somewhere warm and comfortable to sit and read. All very recommendable as a peaceful base from which to explore Galloway!

Comfortable, cosy cottage in a beautiful location with walks right from the back garden into open fields with some great hills to climb. Very comfortable bed. Lovely and quiet. We will be back.

Sarah was a brilliant host, sent through very clear instructions about how to find the hut that were easy to follow. She was very quick to respond to messages & enquiry’s. The hut is stunning, set among beautiful surroundings. Fantastical appointed for such a small space we immediately felt at home. Breakfast in the morning was definitely worth the price and lovely to meet Sarah as she delivered it via quad bike. A super novel wee touch. Will definitely be back & sampling a swim in the river!!
