Great value option if you need to get into Oxford on the train. Pub on your doorstep and good local walks. Going outside to access the bathroom takes some getting used to and the need to plan ahead before going up to bed. Lovely garden with stunning views from the bedroom. Headroom in the bathroom is limited.

My family had such a lovely time at the Dairy Cottage! The property itself and countryside surrounding it are beautiful with plenty of easily accessible walks through the countryside. There is a rope swing, slide, trampolines, tennis court, and a garden maze right outside the cottage which kept all of my kids readily entertained. The Hanborough train station is just a 2 minute drive away, it’s a ten minute train ride into Oxford, and Blenheim Palace is just a 7 minute drive (or an hour walk). I really can’t say enough good things about the location! You get the best of both worlds: a gorgeous countryside retreat with ready access to the city! Zuzana & her husband were friendly and responsive. And Zuzana is also a great yoga teacher; I recommend taking some of her classes if you get a chance. We hope we get another chance to stay at this amazing property!

Nick & Caroline are wonderful hosts. They greeted us when we arrived and showed us how everything worked in the flatlet. They have throught of everything a guest would need. They provided pamphlets for nearby things to do, shampoo and conditioner and had thoughtful extras like tinfoil and an adapter plug. One of the days, we asked if our grandkids could see where we were staying and they let them to play in the beautiful back garden. They were very sweet to come say hi to all 5 of them and offered them a cool drink since it was a very hot day.

It was a lovely place, light-filled, like a little Swiss chalet dropped down in the Cotswolds. The location is ideal for visiting Blenheim Palace (walking distance in fair weather) and the unparalleled Rousham House and Gardens, a short drive away.
