Anne is the best host I have ever seen. She is polite, follows the rules, and is fair. It is very easy to talk with her—she answers quickly and clearly. Free car parking next to the house that is advantage.

This was our first stay at an Airbnb. Severe thunderstorms came through and took out the power while we were at a get-together in DC. Alexis let us know right away, provided candles, and offered to refund nights if we went to a hotel. We stayed there because the basement remained cool. Bedroom was nice and dark, and we slept well on the bed. All of the listed amenities were there and in good working order. Alexis was flexible and easy to work with. We would definitely stay there again.

Candace's basement apartment is a perfect place for guests who can't stay with me on my boat. The full kitchen was great for meals in and the Safeway grocery store is only a few miles away to get anything you might need. I'm already planning and hoping others will be able to stay with her when they come to visit. The only word of caution I would issue is that the steps to the basement get slick when it rains. Use the handrail or the wall for support. Luckily we only had to deal with the rain on our first day. Coming and going was easy and the neighborhood is peaceful.

This was a great place to stay for a visit to Alexandria while on a road trip. Being only 12-15min drive to King St., we were able to comfortably go where we wanted and access our space when needed. The tapestries and mats decorating the place were also very lovely to see and admire. 🥰
