Apartment holiday rentals in Edinburgh Old Town

Convenient location with ample space (and cutely decorated)! We either walked or took the bus to places, and found nearby shops and wine bars very accessible. The apartment is perfect for the two of us on our honeymoon; super solid and lovely.

Hands down this is one of the best Airbnbs we have ever stayed in! I cannot recommend highly enough! So many thoughtful touches throughout and a perfect location. It was clean, cozy, and had incredible views.

We had a great stay! This location is the perfect home base for getting a little away from all the hustle and bustle of old town. It is located right in Stockbridge where there are TONS of cute charity shops, restaurants, and cafes. The bed was very comfortable, and the whole place felt very clean. The neighbors we ran into among the complex were welcoming and friendly.

Perfect place for a stay in Edinburgh. Walkable location from the train station and to all the major attractions. Lovely apartment. Very quiet despite being so close to the city sites. Veronique lives nearby and was very friendly, kind and helpful. The apartment was well-supplied with fresh items, and not with leftovers from previous renters. So nice upon arrival to see fresh milk, butter, eggs, bread, juice, yogurt, and a full supply of condiments. Just a great place to stay. Highly recommended. Two nearby restaurants we'd recommend are an Italian restaurant called Amerone, and a French one called Chez Jules. Both excellent and reasonably priced. Busy, so booking ahead is recommended. We used a private driving service, LR Executive, for a day trip out to the highlands. Very expensive, but it was a great way to see the area and do some hiking. They allowed us to plan our own journey and stops. Ask for Andy--a great guide and driver.

We had the most incredible stay at The Calton View! It was perfectly located in the city center. We were steps away from all of the modern conveniences we needed yet tucked into the middle of Edinburgh’s rich history. During June the sun was still out after 10:00pm so we loved coming home after a long day and playing Harry Potter chess with a cup of hot cocoa from the chocolate bar set up for guests. We left a piece of our hearts in this beautiful city and will undoubtedly return. Not just to Edinburg, but also to Phil and Sandy’s amazing flat.

We had a great stay at this apartment! We met Linda on site, who was very friendly. She showed us around the unit and she was able to meet us a little early for check in, which was helpful. The space has tall ceilings and is very open and light. Everything was just as pictured and very clean! The area is beautiful and quiet, within walking distance of groceries, restaurants, park, etc. You do have to walk up three flights of stairs, but it wasn't a terrible climb. We would most definitely stay here again!!

Great host, clean, safe, close to everything, and just a 5-minute walk to the train station. This place checks all the boxes! However, don't underestimate the stairs. I work out every day and always take the stairs at the office, but these stairs are a killer. They are incredibly steep and spiral, unlike a hotel or office building. I wouldn't recommend if you're traveling with lots of luggage. If you travel light and are in great shape, it's fantastic!

Beautiful accommodations, exactly like pictures. Very clean with modern amenities and bonus Scottish snacks. Quiet & safe neighborhood within walking distance to almost everything, we would definitely stay here again!

We had a lovely stay in Edinburgh and couldn’t have asked for a better location right in the heart of everything, yet tucked away enough to feel quiet and safe. The apartment itself was clean, peaceful, and a great base for exploring. We were able to walk to so many beautiful spots with ease. The bed in the main bedroom wasn’t the most comfortable mattress in the world, but it did the job and didn’t take away from the overall experience. We’d absolutely recommend this place for anyone wanting a central and calm stay in Edinburgh.

Location is right in the middle of Old Town by St. Giles. It’s next to a restaurant so you could hear some of the patrons at night but that is expected for the great location, and didn’t bother me. Super nice place with plenty of space.

What a beautiful setting with lovely surroundings. This was a most convenient place to stay for the Castle, Royal Mile and so many other places. It is also very convenient to lovely bakeries and coffee shoppes. Just Lovely!

Fantastic apartment - will absolutely be back. Our time in Edinburgh was short but with the central location of Fleur's apartment and her quick and concise communication helped us maximize our time in town. And do not miss out on the chance to stop by Fleur's coffee booth!

This beautiful spot has everything one could want in Edinburgh. Location! Cozy! Spacious! Just lovely. Craig and Catherine are super hosts. They responded immediately when we had difficulty with the lock box. It was totally our fault. We didn’t work it properly, but they stayed on the phone with us while we figured it out. There were a couple of other couple things that we didn’t know how to work, and the response was immediate. They are probably the best hosts I have ever had with AirBnb, and I have stayed in many. A word to my fellow Yanks to keep in mind; Don’t forget that in most of the rest of the world the first floor is 0, not 1. The apartment is actually on the 3d floor. I have some mobility issues, and I expected some stairs. I was able to make do, but if you have serious issues you might want to think twice. You would be missing out on a beautiful place, but make sure you are up for the climb. Thanks so much Craig and Catherine for a fantastic stay!

We stayed the last four nights of our stay in Scotland at Lorne and Frank’s place and it was a great way to finish off our trip. Their home was absolutely gorgeous and they were great hosts. The one thing that my wife and I commented on over and over again was how comfy the bed was. We loved our stay in Stockbridge which is such a lovely and vibrant neighbourhood and this unit was such a great home base for all our adventurers. There are lots of pubs, restaurants and shopping nearby and city centre is very walkable from this location. There are also lots of bus stops you can walk to quickly to get you to just about anywhere you want to go.

Great location. Clean and well equipped. Comfortable beds. Only short walk to grass market area, where there are plenty of bars and restaurants.

A beautiful and spacious apartment. The bedrooms were very comfortable and well equipped. Very impressive views. It was very easy to get a bus into the centre of Edinburgh. We really appreciated and highly recommend the jacuzzi bath after running the Edinburgh Marathon!! Bulhar was great with communication. Also some extra touches were really appreciated - shampoos,conditioner and shower gel and other toiletries available to use in the bathroom. Also some soft drinks and teas and coffees available as well, which was very generous. Would definitely recommend this lovely apartment.

Martin and Charul's home is wonderful! Truly a historic, beautiful home. You can stay for one day or a month and feel at home immediately. We stayed with young children and the toy and book collection was amazing for giving us some time to relax while they played! Note that the stairs are steep, so those were a bit challenging for the kids. Definitely doable! We would stay again!

Excellent Airbnb apartment in good location. The drawback was the 3 long winding flights of stairs to get to it.

We had a great stay at Maggie's place. The house was very cozy, neat and clean. The bathrooms, kitchen, utensils, bed sheets, towels, etc were all very clean. There was lots of stuff for the childrens to enjoy in Maggie's place. The house was loaded with all the modern amenities. There was not a single thing in the house which was non functional. The host was very prompt in responding to any query we had. To add, the locality is very peaceful. If I happen to come again, I would love to stay in Maggie's place. Not to forget the wonderful drinks, beverages, snacks, etc Maggie kept f to welcome her guests.
