Great place, super clean! Pool, Gym and great staff makes it the perfect spot to stay and have fun at a good price! If I go back to Tamarindo, I will definitely chose this Hostel again!

I was lucky and had the dorm to myself, but it is big and well equipped, as is the kitchen and bathrooms. The pool's wonderful, as is the sitting area and layout. And the A/C was good to have given the humidity. The only suggestion I could make would be the possibility of adding some kind of anti-mosquito device, (like the electric zappers), as they are around, (but then, that's true of all of Tamarindo). Nonetheless, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend Simone's place to everyone - and would be happy to stay there again.

Great location, right in town and very short walk to the beach. Pool is refreshing, Walter is nice and there’s a cute iguana.

This was a really nice stay at the Conchal Hotel & Papaya Restaurant. The room is very small, but just what we needed for a night along our way down the coast. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, and in particular, Donald provided memorable and exceptional service. The food at the restaurant was amazing and we loved that breakfast was included. It was a short walk to Playas Brasilito and Conchal and a quick drive to many beautiful others. The hotel was very cute and colorful and we had a visit from a family of howler monkeys on the pool deck. We also saw beautiful birds and iguanas hanging around. A guard watched over the cars at night in the lot. We had would stay here again!

We loved Hotel Cantarana! It was the perfect spot to relax before our wedding in Playa Grande. Love the community and how walkable everything is. Loved the coffee shop, restaurant, and private path to the beach. Everyone was so friendly and helpful too. The bed was comfy! The pool was refreshing and very much needed. Really no complaints at all.

We really enjoyed the stay. The location we loved it because it is close to the center to go to eat but far enough from the busiest area. The kitchen in the room, the ice machine, the pool, were a big plus. The breakfast in the room was also copious and punctual. The overall staff was super friendly and responsive.

Flor Y Bambu is absolutely beautiful - as soon as I stepped into this place I was enchanted. The casita's and tents are discreetly dotted around the space each have private hammocks and lounging areas. The planting is so cool and myriad walkways meander down to the green/blue pool area. I was tucked at one corner of the hotel and loved seeing howler monkeys play above me. Like many other reviewers I also loved the outside shower looking up at the stars. Playa grande is stunning and a very natural space. Its not built up, long may this be the case. I went on a night trip to visit some leatherback turtles nesting and this was done respectfully, about 20 mins drive. Playa Conchal and Brasilito are also fun, to get a flavour of local life. Thank you Sophie and Antoine too. Pura vida.

Denise was so helpful answering my questions and giving me recommendations! The hotel is very simple and has everything you need. The free breakfast is a nice touch. The room was clean and the AC worked well. The hotel is not far from the beach and main area of Tamarindo, however, there aren’t sidewalks so it’s not walkable. Denise warned me of this ahead of time. I didn’t rent a car so I took Ubers everyday and they were only $5 each way.

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Very well constructed complex, WiFi everywhere, super private and tranquil. The pool/hammock/grill area is lovely. Would come back with several families and each have our own unit next to each other. Not to mention the hosts are amazing. Will be back, thank you Emileth!

The place was great for spending a couple of nights in Fortuna, clean and within walking distance of the square and restaurants. Vira was very kind to send us personal support at a time of need, due to my inexperience. We loved it and are very grateful :)

Absolutely loved my stay here! I’ve visited this beach town in Costa Rica multiple times, and this was by far one of the most central and convenient places I’ve stayed—just a short walk to the beach and town center. The area felt super safe, the space was spotless, well-equipped, and the host was incredibly kind and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Awesome villa with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The shared pool, surrounded by lush vegetation, was the highlight of our visit. The kids had a great time swimming when it was too hot outside. Since the pool is shared, it’s also a great way to meet people staying in neighboring villas. The villa is very close to Playa Grande beach, perfect for catching waves during the day and enjoying breathtaking sunsets in the evening. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, with even more just a short drive away. We initially had some doubts about visiting this area of Playa Grande due to reports of construction, but it was actually quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended for travelers looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo (which is just a short boat ride away) and enjoy a tranquility.

My family and I were very satisfied, the house was spacious, in very good condition, the sheets and the house in general were very clean. The location of the excellent house very close to the most beautiful beaches and shopping centers. Super recommended, the attention of the owner is very kind and flexible.

What a gem ! Hacienda la Norma is a very special boutique hotel and the perfect spot to stay - an easy drive from Liberia airport and close to many great beaches . A real family affair - the owner and all his relatives were on hand to give advice on our trip and generally made us feel so welcome and at home - brilliant chef on hand for dinner and expert Margaritas from the bar. Lots of love has gone into the design - bed super comfortable and nothing was too much trouble . Wish we could have stayed longer !
