We had a wonderful experience staying at Helen’s. The property itself is on a really cute little street and it’s such a homely and cosy place to stay. We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Very pleased to have a comfortable bed to sleep in with plenty of good pillows. Helen is a truly wonderful host! Super helpful in helping us plan our trip and very quick to respond over message with any questions we had. Very welcoming and friendly. It makes you feel so relaxed booking with someone so kind and helpful. We really appreciated some bits being left in the kitchen for us for breakfast as well as very generously giving us a lift to the wedding we were attending. Thank you Helen for such a lovely stay! If we visit the area again we will be sure to stay with you again!

This is the most beautiful stay in such a gorgeous cosy cottage! We had such a wonderful time, perfectly positioned by the coast, with stunning views! The regular buses running from literally 50m from the property were ideal for getting into Edinburgh to explore the city sights and also up to Gullane (gorgeous beach!) and North Berwick (cutesy town with pretty shops and another beautiful beach!) The property had everything we needed, above and beyond - kitchen well equipped and delicious homemade marmalade - the perfect home from home! We will definitely be back and definitely recommend to anyone looking for a retreat in the area!!!! Aberlady is also so beautiful to explore with a great village stores and the best coastal views! Thank you Patrick for being a super welcoming host!

We stayed as a group of 6 friends for a nearby wedding. We loved being walkable down to the beautiful Gullane beach. Recommend the Goose on the Green for good coffee and The Bonnie Badger for a drink in the sun. Janis was really helpful and let us check in / out at different times.

Very nice modern cottage, with everything you need. Couldn't be better. From here it is very easy to travel by train to Edinburgh. Then come home very nice and enjoy the beautiful garden and the comfortable house!
