Mountain Caapi Cottage is a magical place - everything we had hoped & more. Negotiating the road to the cottage was tricky but manageable in our 4x4 vehicle, and well-placed signs left no doubt about the route. We were immediately welcomed and shown to the cottage, which was cozy, well-equipped, and felt in sync with the natural surroundings. We spent most mornings and evenings out on the "Sunset Deck", which overlooked a lush forested valley, and, as the name implies, offered perfect sunset views. As bird watchers, we were keen on the nesting pair of Yellow-crowned Night Herons and the occasional Red-necked Amazon fly-by, both visible from the deck. During the day, the cottage stayed remarkably cool, and at night, we slept easily amidst the soothing forest sounds. Mountain Caapi is idyllic - especially for nature lovers - but the best part of staying there was the hosts Jessica & Tim, who were friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel at home. We would return without hesitation!

My husband and I had a most enjoyable stay at Lessie’s vacation apartment. Even though we did not spend a lot of time in the apartment, we did have the opportunity to interact quite a bit with Lessie, his wife Nettie and their lovely kids. We cannot express enough, the kindness and hospitality extended to us by this family. The apartment itself was very nice, clean and most importantly safe, however, you do need transportation to stay there and to get around. We would definitely stay at Lessie’s vacation rental again and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Without hesitation!! Shurmon's Tiny House is a haven of peace. Although the "super host" classification is not mentioned, it is well represented. The unit is very well equipped and if it is missing: just ask. Shurmon is listening and will try to solve your request as best as possible. Very responsive. A special note for the basket of fresh fruit and this magnificent garden of aromatic, medicinal plants and fruit trees. 5/5 * - exceptional exotic setting. We'll be there again.

Large apartment on the 2nd floor of a chalet open to nature surrounded by rivers with a large balcony, not overlooked, crossing the heights of Roseau halfway to the waterfalls, lakes, hot springs and hiking. Very well equipped for cooking, a large fridge and freezer, oven... the beds are comfortable and equipped with mosquito nets, the bathroom is beautiful and opens onto the greenery, Host always gives good advice and is proactive. It is exotic, refreshing and relaxing to live here and sleep lulled by the waterways. Please note that the apartment is above a canyoning base, we were there at the end of May so out of season and we were very little disturbed, either one morning out of 4, because the excursions start in the morning at 7 a.m., and only the floor separates us from the base. It can therefore be very noisy! Having been warned by the comments, we had planned earplugs to reduce the noise. Off-season, we were delighted!
