Holiday rentals with lake access in Charlestown

The Ashford Lake cottage was absolutely perfect for our sister birthday weekend! The hot tub, fire pit, screened in porch, and dock all were perfect for catching up, relaxing, and enjoying each other's company. The house was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need and everything was extremely clean. Jason was extremely attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. I can't recommend this cottage enough and hope to visit again in the future!

This was a fabulous destination! We were looking for a big place to have a special anniversary party weekend with extended family, and this house had everything we needed. Plenty of bedrooms upstairs and first floor, many common gathering areas, large kitchen and dining room tables, and lots of Space. (And this doesn't even include the explorable property outside.) The dozens of photos in the listing were very helpful, as well as the detailed descriptions. We had specific needs for elderly relatives with disabilities, and owner Lynne was so responsive in her replies to my many messages with varied questions. Truly, Lynne, you deserve a gold star from Airbnb for promptness and offering up ways and help that made our stay both easier and fulfilling.

Great stay! The place was very clean and in a perfect walkable location near downtown. Parking changed due to construction, but the host was super communicative and even offered a small refund. Would definitely stay again!

This is a beautiful peaceful location with a larger master bedroom and great bathrooms. The downstairs has a living room and kitchen so it's private -- like that it's separate from bathrooms. We have ZERO complaints and will highly recommend if anyone near Mystic. PERFECT spot for visiting the area and/or students at Conn College

Excellent host! We loved our stay, the location was perfect, easy to find and felt very safe and private. Kelly was extremely responsive to our questions and the house was in perfect shape with everything we needed. I will for sure use this space when we return. We loved this home and location. We were in to visit family in Westport. It was so conveniently located for us. When we came back from visiting, we still felt like we were on vacation! Highly recommend! We will be back!

A blissful experience on this pristine property in Matunuck Beach. Wonderful finishes on the home with immaculate views of the marshlands. - private and secure location perfect sea views and MATUNUCK beach / everything you need to feel at home with amenities like bicycles, water sports, and outdoor showers with a LUXE feeling of opulence and privacy with the upstairs bedroom and private garage entrance - entry to the home with multiple wraparound, porches and seating for outdoor and indoor relaxation on both levels. loved the seating inside as it extended to the gorgeous outdoor space- thank you so much for this wonderful property. Our host was such a great communicator from the start. We had requests concerning a check in time change and he immediately accommodated us. I then needed an additional parking spot and he accommodated us with that too. Perfect location, decorated beautifully, just right for our needs! Highly recommend.

Beautiful location, love the the access to the lake as well to multiple activities in the private backyard. Great walking distance to the beach which was accessible at any time of day and night. Friendly environment, a lot of local moments throughout the day making the area felt alive even in off season. Close enough to the casinos, local restaurants and activities. Premises was quiet at night, didn’t hear other units other than light foot steps, as a light sleeper I had no problems having a good nights rest.

The place was very clean and comfortable. The amenities were great - there was coffee and supplies for it as well as some bottle water in the fridge. The place was quiet and clean and in a good location. Sean communicated well with us and we had a nice time.

Staying at Kevin’s place was such a reset from Manhattan. It was cozy, comfortable and very breathtaking. Kevin has great response time and is willing to assist you while you stay. Will definitely be back soon!

My friend and I stayed in another unit of Steven’s last year and had a great time & loved the area. We had a bigger group this year so stayed in this one, and everything was great. The apartment was clean and exactly as described, and Steven was very helpful and communicative! Would definitely recommend & stay here again.

Perfect for a weekend getaway with the pup! Place was peaceful and a short walk or drive to parks, beaches, or town. Aunt Clare was friendly and attentive. Would book again!

Kelly and Rick’s place is absolutely beautiful and a perfect retreat for couples or anyone looking for a relaxing, scenic experience in Montauk. We’ve lived on LI our whole lives but never got to explore the east end until now, and Kelly’s place is the PERFECT location! It’s near town with great restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores nearby, near hiking trails where we got to see seals and beautiful views of the ocean, near the lighthouse, near great fishing spots, etc., not to mention the gorgeous view of Lake Montauk right on their property. We used their fire pit and had a fire the last night of our stay as well! We had a BLAST and had such a relaxing weekend. The apartment was very clean and has everything you could need for your stay, and Kelly was super attentive and responsive when it came to answering our questions and inquiries. Thank you again for giving us such a beautiful place to stay! 10/10 recommend! We’ll definitely be back🌊❤️☀️

Our stay at Kristina’s place was perfect for a weekend reunion at Brown. We were able to do laundry locally after traveling for a week and before traveling another two. It was quiet, serene and tastefully decorated. A great escape from the hustle and crowds of downtown providence and the brown campus. We needed more toilet paper and Kristina brought it within minutes. Great host and highly recommend the Airbnb! The bed was super comfy too!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage. It was so very peaceful and we loved being literally right around n the water! Slept amazingly well and the cottage was just lovely! Robert was also a great host. 5 stars all around and we hope to return again!

My family had a great time my daughters enjoyed kayaking. They fished almost all day every day they were in the lake constantly. we also like that it’s close enough for us to have company for the day and for my daughters to have their friends come and go fishing and kayaking for the day.

Linlin was a wonderful host and we loved this adorable cottage. It was incredibly clean, while still being warm and welcoming for us (and our pup). It's a little farther from the water than we had anticipated, but it's a relatively short and private walk to a dock with kayaks and beautiful views. Highly recommend!

This was the ideal location for my husband and me to spend the holidays with our family who live across the lake. Will and John gave us a warm, friendly welcome and Quinn also checked in to make sure we settled in and had everything needed for a comfy cozy stay. It was easy to communicate with everyone and the location felt peaceful and private but not isolated. I can't imagine a more ideal experience and cannot thank Quinn enough for making this stay the best ever we've had with Airbnb!

We had a great stay at Greg's place. Potter pond is gorgeous and a kayaking paradise, and the walk to the beach was amazing. Being so close to great restaurants was also amazing. This is a gem of a location for a beach vacation. One note- I had thought we'd be able to launch our kayak at the water right behind the unit, but you need to walk them a little bit over to the kayak launch. Not a big deal, but make sure you bring a kayak cart if you think you'll need one.
