Family-friendly holiday rentals in Carlsbad Village

My very large family and I absolutely loved staying here. We were in town for a wedding and it was truly the perfect location to host our gaggle of people. Several bedrooms, lots of gathering space, and a great backyard with a pool and hot tub that got lots of use! Cynthia was also an extremely accommodating host - with so many people we ended up with a few different requests, and she was quick and easy to communicate with about everything! We would 100% stay here again!

The location was great, close to many restaurants and shops, great ocean breeze, great ocean view from the room, beautiful grounds, and 5 minutes from my sons house on Camp Pendleton!

It's always better staying with family at a home rather than a hotel. Kim's place was no exception. Lots of space, nice gathering area, big deck (with freeway noise), close to the beaches, restaurants, and Carlsbad Outlet Mall. Would love to stay here again.

Our recent stay at Michelle’s Airbnb in Leucadia, California, was nothing short of exceptional! The kitchen was a standout feature, fully stocked with everything needed to whip up almost any meal. From cookware to an impressive array of spices, we had all the tools to enjoy home-cooked dinners, which made our stay even more special. It’s rare to find such a well-equipped kitchen in a vacation rental! The location is perfect for soaking in the local culture. Right on the beach, we loved taking daily walks to explore the vibrant Leucadia community. The highlight, though, was watching the sunset every evening from the living room or deck—pure magic! Great place! Modern simple, deep tub, steam shower, comfy beds and pillows, peaceful environment. Wall-to-wall window doors look out into palm trees, chirping birds, lots of natural light. Note-there’s 2 entrances to underground parking of this. Parking entrance is LEFT side of building down the hill. Great to have dedicated indoor parking! Lovely stay

View was spectacular! Loved the decor style! It’s an older unit but still well maintained. Loved the amenities and proximity to the beach and restaurants in Oceanside. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything was wonderful! My daughter and I loved it. Eva and Zach truly covered every little detail! Staying here has renewed my love for Airbnb's. I have noticed that some rentals have become less personal and more of a management style. Eva and Zach were responsive and detailed to my messages. Because of all the trees and plants we felt as if we were on a tropical vacation. The pool was nice, we had it to ourselves. The inside of the home felt as if it was newly remodeled, very clean. I agree that the stairs to go up to the bedroom area are a bit steep. However, I'm clumsy and I did not have an issue. The roof top deck was peaceful. The location was perfect not far from attractions, but also away from the traffic and noise. We are hoping to make this home our annual mother, daughter spot. If I have to use one word to sum up our stay it would be Zen! Oh! And take their recommendation and eat at Uncle Tony's! Seriously the best Italian food and old school customer service.

Vivian and John‘s cottage was a perfect place for a three day stay. Very peaceful and calm with beautiful surroundings and close to everything I needed to get to. I would love to come back at some point.

This air bnb was the best place we could have stayed in San Diego. It had everything we needed and there were so many thoughtful touches. All I wanted was a Southern California beach vacation and Kristen had all of the gear we needed for that. We went to several beaches during our stay and it was about a 30 minute drive to every beach we went after waiting out morning rush hour traffic. Her backyard was my favorite part of our trip as we love watching sunrises and sunsets and it was so peaceful with great views. There is a lot of natural light in the air bnb as I didn’t understand initially there are solar tube lights throughout the unit which I thought were really cool. The air bnb is in a safe and quiet neighborhood and is a convenient location. The bed itself was very comfortable and we enjoyed being able to cook meals with a full kitchen and be able to do laundry. I would definitely will return when back in San Diego.

Great location, close walk to the beach. Our family of 4 enjoyed using the boogie boards, beach chairs and bikes that were available to us. Coffee shops and breweries were close by. Warrens place was perfect for our little getaway. Would highly recommend!

Our family has been vacationing at this property for 8 years and it never disappoints! The location can’t be beat and the house has everything you need from kitchen utensils to beach chairs and surfboards. Laundry on site is a huge plus.

We had a fantastic stay at Clarissa’s place! The location is unbeatable—just a row of houses away from the beach and conveniently close to the Village, restaurants, and Legoland. Clarissa is an incredible host, always responsive and attentive to anything we needed. The home itself is well-equipped with everything you could ask for. We only used one bedroom in the back, and the bed was very comfortable. The long driveway behind a small gate was a huge plus, easily fitting our GMC truck and a smaller SUV. This home is also great for larger groups, with plenty of space to spread out. Highly recommend staying here—we’d love to come back!

Our stay in San Diego was truly unforgettable, and I owe so much of that to our incredible host. From the start, she was kind and flexible—working with us to adjust our booking after unexpected rain changed our plans. When we finally arrived, she went above and beyond for my daughter’s belated birthday celebration. She surprised us with beautiful decorations and even gave my daughter the sweetest birthday gift. It honestly touched my heart to see how thoughtful she was. The space was cozy, clean, and filled with good energy—perfect for making memories during a weekend that meant so much to us. We needed to get away from LA for a few days and picked the perfect place. Fully lived up to our expectations, clean, roomy, and well appointed. Alina gave great and helpful instructions. Will look to booking again and thourly recommend this great location.

I loved the location, we could walk to coffee in the morning. A few great food options are close. The kitchen was fully equipped for anyone wanting to cook, we didn't because the food choices were too good in the area.

Nicolas was a great host and has a gorgeous property where my family and I felt right at home! Not once did we feel uncomfortable, everything matched the description and then some! The one question I had he responded within minutes and was very clear and consider. Would definitely book again!

The guest house on Kris’s plot was as advertised and just what we needed for our stay in North County SD. Thanks for the wonderful time! My kids had a particularly good time.

My mom and I had a wonderful stay in this beautiful condo. The location is amazing- walking distance to La Costa Resort restaurants and a short drive to beautiful beaches and shopping areas. We hope to stay here again in the future!
