Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Carlsbad Village

Wow! Reserve this hidden gem now. This "elegant beach house" is beautifully decorated in contemporary chill--with all the amenities to sleep in and stay home or go out all day and come home and relax. Our family of 8 had plenty of room to gather for a movie, play board games, or retreat to our own space. We could go outside and play cornhole--or split time between the hot tub and the firepit in the beautifully landscaped backyard--then eventually fall asleep in the super comfortable beds. We hated to leave the place. Spotless bathrooms--and all throughout the space. The kitchen was pristine, and well-equipped (extra coffee! ;-) to cook our own feast or order out--and room for our 8 to sit at the same table, inside or out. 15 minutes to the beaches--Oceanside/Carlsbad--and you can bring the provided chairs, umbrella, etc. Instantly responsive hosts: "attentive but not intrusive"--like good friends we'd just met--the BEST! We had a fantastic week in La Jolla! John’s place was charming, spotless, and perfect for our family. The home was well-stocked with thoughtful amenities—including beach gear—and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The location is unbeatable: a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood within a few minutes walking distance to the beach, great restaurants, coffee shops, and more. John was a friendly and responsive host who made everything easy from start to finish. Honestly could not have asked for a better host. Highly recommend for families looking for a relaxing, convenient stay in La Jolla. We’d love to come back!

This place was HEAVEN!! We fell in love with the place. The place was spotless and looked exactly like the photos. A 15 min walk to restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the view from the couch every morning and the view from the lifeguard chairs in the evening. The Airbnb hosts were helpful and responsive. This place felt like home and can not wait to book again! Thank you!

The place was better than we expected. The place clean and was filled with so much amenities (lots of towels for use and pool use, pool table, video games, etc). We didn’t really have to go anywhere to have fun because of all the amenities. Responses were very quick and the owner was so accommodating to our need. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again if we are to have another family reunion in San Diego. The place was worth the price.

Amazing experience. Vi’s place was homey beyond expectation. My wife was very impressed with how available everything was especially in the kitchen because we are a family of 6 and always eating out would have not been cost effective. We felt right at home. My wife especially loved the complementary fruits, water, and treats. The kids rooms were packed with toys and books they could read and play with in their spare time which was amazing. The living room was filled with board games for the entire family. The garage also had amazing games for the entire family with foldable chairs and equipment for the beach and camping. There was so much to do in the house that staying in was not in the slightest boring. The entire family enjoyed the pool and the spa and had an amazing time especially on the days we stayed in. I certainly would be booking Vi’s place again anytime we are in San Diego.

Overall fantastic stay! House owner lives on property but the house is secluded just for house guest use. An incident happened where my daughter had an accident during nap time and Kathleen responded quickly and helped us with the change of bedding.

I really enjoyed my stay! Such a cute place with great amenities. The home was very clean upon check in and is exactly as described and pictured. For me, it was in a very convenient location. Also the neighborhood was very nice and quiet. Thank you for the great stay!!

What an incredible place to call home for a few days. This place had everything we needed to cook for our family, the pool and spa were amazing, and had some great hang out spaces for the family. Trevor and Heidi were quick to respond if we needed anything!

The house was perfect for us. We played all the activities, cooled off in the pool, and then relaxed in the spa. Sunset and morning views are amazing! Hosts were very responsive. I appreciated the Canva pdf that had all the instructions for checking in and using the house. It was a great experience.

Highly recommend if you’re in town ! Beautiful home with an amazing back yard and a grill if you like to bbq a perfect get away for the family or even just yourself definitely a place I’ll be going back to host where supper friendly and fast with replying and made sure i had everything i needed for the stay

Sheila’s beautiful villa was absolutely what we needed after a long exhausting day with two toddlers at Legoland. We had stayed at a residence before here so we knew the layout and amenities more or less. It’s exactly what we expected and more. The beautiful pools (with a baby friendly pool), the kids club, the beautiful views, the delicious on-site restaurants, complimentary fruit-infused water, the adorable stuffed animal seals for the kids, and more. We loved that the kids could stay in the living room. Sheila had provided two cribs that were already set up prior to our arrival. The check-in was super smooth! We communicated for days before our arrival and we felt really happy with everything!!! We loved the amenities and after Legoland, we needed a bit of luxury and rest for ourselves. Thank you again for letting us stay in your lovely villa.

The villa on the hill is a hidden gem that I would gladly go back to. The views were breathtaking from just about any spot on the property. One of my favorite parts about the whole villa stay was sitting in the hot tub watching the sun set in the evening. The villa itself was just as beautiful on the inside as it was on the outside. The owners keep it very clean and stocked with cooking utensils if needed. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Southern California, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and spacious place to stay.

This home was perfect for our group of 7. Everything was in excellent shape and the home had everything we needed. John was a great host and very responsive to questions that we had. The outdoor space was great for the kids to play in the pool and was very private. There were also a good selection of pool floats and beach toys for kids. We will definitely look to rent this home again when we return.

We loved the spaciousness of the home and guest house, it was perfect for our group of 12. The patio space was great and we enjoyed the pool, spa, pickleball court, fire pit, grilling out and just soaking up the sun. Kiersten was extremely helpful in advance of our arrival with helpful tips and suggestions. Only one small hiccup with the spa not working when we arrived but she jumped right on it and kept in communication and made sure to have it serviced and ready for us to use the next day. I would happily stay there again.
