Guest house holiday rentals in Black Mountain

This is a quaint ADU located very close to downtown. The location is peaceful with great Mountain views. The check in process was easy and convenient. Our host Kim was always responsive, accommodating, and proactive. The bedroom is located up some steep stairs but was not an issue for us but something to consider. I would consider staying again when I want a peaceful setting but close to downtown.

My trip to the country cottage was such a welcome respite while working on an assignment in the area. Cozy, quiet and beautiful surroundings. Jerry and Deborah are so welcoming and lovely to be around. I learned much about the area from them and they were always checking in to make sure things were going well. I look forward to returning soon with my family to explore the area more and spend some time with my new friends.

There is no way to put in words the beauty and peaceful environment where this place is. Everything was perfect. Absolutely recommend this place. We stayed here with our 7 and 1 year old kids and we all had a great time. The loft is so much fun. We also saw hundreds of fireflies at night. It was lovely 💕

We really enjoyed our stay and thankful for an economical solution to a last minute trip to Asheville.

First off, we didn’t end up staying at Taras. We saw the reports that there was a potential flood threat from Hurricane Helene, so I had to cancel the morning we were supposed to arrive. I know that providing ratings when we did not actually stay seems dishonest, but every exchange we had was timely and considerate and it was exactly the kind of place we were looking for in our search. I hope that Tara and her family are safe and the people of Asheville quickly receive the necessary resources needed to rebuild from the devastation. I had a great stay here! The place had everything that I needed. There was great wifi access and I was able to work here. The area was beautiful and I woke up to birds every morning. James was friendly and an all around great host. I’d highly recommend to anyone coming to the Asheville area. I hope to visit again!

Laura washed all the bedding to reduce the fragrance from the usual detergents she uses. It was a big help. Very comfortable mattress and spacious interior. Quiet. Beautiful landscape and pasture across the street. Great place to unwind!

Great place to stay, centrally located to get out and explore the area.

The view was amazing! Our favorite place was sitting by the fireplace. It looked just like the pictures. Quiet and peaceful. Nice touches with the decor. Anglea responded and answered questions quickly. It's approximately 15 - 20 minutes from Asheville. 10/10 would recommend.

Peter’s house was clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Master bedroom mattress was comfortable. He responded quickly to my questions. We would like to stay here again.

This was one of the best Airbnb experiences we have had after years of traveling. The hosts made our wedding weekend seamlessly flow and accommodated us to our unique needs with quick responses and kindhearted spirits for our celebration. THE VIEW IS INCREDIBLE. Got to watch fireflies dance throughout the forest below. All the amenities you could think of and more. Comfy bed, plenty of AC for the summer heat. The open air concept and modern look of the house was perfect for us. We hope to return for anniversaries to come!

Tanya’s place was incredible! The small details she included throughout the space were helpful and very thoughtful. She really made the space homey from the big things such as great local recommendations all the way down to the small details like cold water in the fridge. The space was quiet and private, and the drive into Asheville was easy and short with plenty to do. You really get the best of both worlds staying here. Highly recommend!!

Daniel's place was an oasis in middle of a busy area. The convince factor is excellent. Plenty of restaurants, close to airport & interstate, close to national forest and a Walmart nearby for any needs. Given that description, one would think this place is in busy suburbia....and it is, but you would never know it. Beautiful wooded and gated neighborhood with a pond, cute homes, safe and walkable. Really can't beat this location. Would not hesitate to book in future.

Perfect place for our two week stay! So easy to walk to coffee, food, and the library. Lovely house and hosts.

We absolutely loved Sam’s place. Every room was filled with thoughtful details that made it clear that care went into every choice. It was perfect for two & perfect for four when our grandkids spent the day & night with us. The backyard space was good for entertaining family & friends one morning, too. We’d gladly rent again.

My second stay did not disappoint! The hosts are gracious and responsive. It’s a cozy, clean, private setting with lots of greenery all around. It’s peaceful yet located close to all the surrounding sights. Five stars x 1000!

I went to Asheville last minute and was looking for a spot close to downtown. This place!!! While being close to downtown, it felt more like an English cottage row! Every morning walk, I felt like Snow White. The suite was perfect for one or two. The beautiful waterfall as you come in was spectacular. My morning walks were a daydream. Wild turkeys, beautiful birds, and one day I had a Mama bear and her cubs come visit. This stay was so good, I requested one more day because I didn’t want it to end. I would stay here 1,000 times again. The most perfect time in Asheville.

We loved our stay here! It's a perfect location! Close to downtown, greenways, Biltmore, and the Grove Park Inn. Beautifully decorated with many little extras (like coffee fixins' provided, extra toiletries, sparkling water...) The porch is heavenly! A wonderful place to relax with a glass of wine and a good book! Michelle is very responsive and helpful!

Lots of extras for puppies, which we loved. Back yard was cozy, and we had fun playing with our two dogs. I would say two people + two dogs is max capacity for this cute tiny home. Our first night, we had an issue that was time sensitive. Lucinda was very communicative and proactive in solving the problem. Great host!

Wild Roots 2 is a little sanctuary for the weary traveler! The space is cozy and clean, the bed is comfortable, and the creek just steps out your door is the perfect way to start and end the day. The hosts were extremely responsive, kind and helpful. Their property is tended with love and care and the mountain road it sits atop is beautiful and new each day, with birds and bears and bugs of all kind! Be sure to be informed about the wildlife you might encounter… you can find instructions in the thoughtful guidebook found in the rental. The Swannanoa community is warm and inviting, and has many wonderful local businesses to support as the community rebuilds lost Helene. I couldn’t recommend enough! 💚🌿
