Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Black Mountain

We had a wonderful stay at this “Slow Pace” Airbnb with our children and two dogs! The home was comfortable and inviting, with a fantastic backyard that we all enjoyed. The living room was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, and the location couldn’t have been better—we loved being able to walk downtown and appreciated the easy access to Montreat. Another great perk was the nearby mom-and-pop convenience store, where we could easily pick up extra drinks and snacks. It was close enough that the kids could even walk over by themselves, which was a nice bonus! The hosts were thoughtful in every detail, from providing plenty of coffee for our entire stay to the extra special touch of a bottle of wine waiting for us on our first night. We would absolutely stay here again!

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for a few days. It’s a cozy home away from home that is comfortable and has pretty much everything you need to relax. The kitchen had everything that we needed so we didn’t feel any reason to go out for dinner. The host was absolutely amazing and we hope to return to this home in the future.

What a wonderful weekend in Black Mountain! The weather was perfect! We loved being able to walk to restaurants, shops, tennis, and the lake! We have been to this house before with our pups and plan to go back. The host is so nice and responsive and checks in just to make sure we are comfortable!

This home was the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in! It had everything you needed plus extras for the kiddos. Plenty of space for us and a good location. I would definitely stay here again. :)

Linda is an amazing host and one of the most proactive communicators I’ve ever rented from. Her place is lovely clean and easy to get to would definitely rent from Linda and the space again.

This place was an absolute gem. It was really, REALLY clean. I think the hosts emphasize how much they clean, and it really shows. It was conveniently located to Asheville. Definitely recommend staying here!!!

The location is perfect for visiting Swannanoa, Black Mountain or Asheville. It was just 5 minutes away from our relatives’ home in Swannanoa. The air conditioning was very welcome since the days became very warm for June. The well water was delicious since it has no added chemicals like city water does. We spotted some wild turkeys or female peacocks strolling around in the neighborhood and heard there might be black bears but didn’t see any.

Heather and Bob’s Air BnB was beautiful and private. It was the cleanest place I have stayed in and they provided nice treats for us. The local recommendations were great. The communication from Heather and Bob was perfect. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay. Rodney and Dulcy were very accommodating. Their apartment is conveniently close to a relative we were visiting in Woodfin.

This was one of my best Airbnb experiences (and I had many). Traci’s spot is perfect for a couple or solo. Quiet neighborhood. Beautiful surrounding. Easy to find. And the inside is perfect for travelers - everything is thought through, every detail, from the spoon for the creamer to the cosy rug for the feet by the bed which made me feel very taken care of during our stay. The bed is super comfortable. The space is very nicely decorated. I felt like I was at a cool gallery. Thank you, Traci, for hosting us!

We spent 3 days at Dawn and Ron’s Asheville home. Their space was very clean, smelled nice, and had every convenience you could possibly need. Unfortunately it was rainy during our trip so we didn’t take advantage of the outdoor amenities like the patio/grill or the goats, but they did greet us with wagging tails as we came and went! Loved the waffle bar and complimentary coffee - such nice touches that made breakfast a breeze! Also loved that they provided toiletries and washer/dryer. This space provided all the comforts of home, about 15 minutes to all the AVL activities. Dawn and Ron were very communicative and kind hosts. Would recommend their home to anyone!

The place was great, even though it was a very quick stay. The mattresses were very comfortable, place was clean & inviting. My wife really admired their garden and has now decided we are adding a butterfly garden to our farmstead. We would def stay again.

Lynn's place was perfect for our family. The backyard is gorgeous and the view is truly incredible. Lynn went above and beyond as a host to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Asheville.

Sweet upstairs unit surrounded by lovely greenery. Easy check in experience with easy going hosts that like to accommodate. Close to downtown Weaverville but down a lovely dead end road with very little traffic and pastoral views.

We had a wonderful stay in Asheville, and we're very comfortable in this peaceful setting. Kelle and Max have created a beautiful space to stay. It's very clean, well equipped, and all directions and instructions clear and helpful. Kelle is a famous communicator, and quick to respond. The place was clean, well equipped with essentials, and comfortable bed and linens. The area was peaceful and view of the mountains was beautiful. We received clear instructions to find the place. The host was very responsive. There was nothing more we could want.

This cabin was absolutely magical! We visited on Memorial Day weekend and it could have been more perfect! It’s a beautiful cabin that has amazing views and really makes you feel at home. Our dog Luna absolutely loved the place! They left a whole variety of movies and games for us to enjoy while we were there as well! They also included a list with the best restaurants, hikes spots and things to do! We didn’t want to leave when our trip was over! Would love to come back one day in the future!

We loved our time at the cabin and would totally come back again. It was uncluttered, super clean, very cozy, the bed was amazing, kitchen stocked with essentials. We cooked our own dinner over the fire and in the stove and it was perfect. We loved the record collection! Such a fun touch. We hope to come and stay again soon.

Stay here!!! This little cabin is perfection and located in a little slice of heaven. We loved it so much we didn’t want to leave. The bed is super cozy and there’s views out of every window. Very tranquil. I hope we find ourselves back someday.

We had a fantastic time. The home is beautiful--wonderful views, very well-appointed and maintained, and a super comfy bed. The location is also great, it feels like a mountain tree-house retreat but it's just a 10 minute drive from downtown. We would definitely stay here again.

My friend and I stayed here for a weekend while attending a local festival. We were both very pleased with the location, the space, and the outdoor area. It was very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this lovely home.

The most perfect place to stay! We loved our stay at Jack’s Retreat, so peaceful with stunning views and we even saw a bear. Enjoyed time in the hot tub and around the fire pit and generally relaxing. The cabin had all kitchen equipment and utensils anyone would ever need. Lots to explore within the local area. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.
