Guest house holiday rentals in Big Sur

My stay in Amy's home was relaxing, peaceful and comfortable. I loved the location - nested against the hills and so close to shops/restaurants. I loved walking the hills in the neighborhood and coming back to a quiet and comfortable space. You are in the backyard of the owners but they are friendly and respectful and the setting is idyllic.

Such a serene location! Nestled amongst the trees, this Airbnb will have you feeling like you’re a world away without being far from amenities at all. My husband and I enjoy staying here tremendously. The place was spotless and has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Lea was one of the friendliest hosts I’ve ever come across and made us feel warm and welcomed. Can’t wait to visit again!

Mike and Mary were such wonderful hosts. Their “hidden gem” really is that… a perfect place to have a relaxing and private stay in Santa Cruz while still having easy walkable access to all of downtown. I spent a week here and was able to work remotely in the serene quiet setting, enjoy town, and even tried out some great new spots they recommended. Exactly what I was looking for, but even better than I had hoped!

Was a great option for close proximity to the Google campus which is where we needed to be. Neighborhood seemed to be safe and walkable. It’s evident they are very involved with the beautiful landscaping and gardening on/around the property therefore notable tree pollen/allergens during the spring time. Overall a cute, cozy, and darling stay!

Quiet and quaint. The guest house is right at the pool and, while on the same property as the main house, feels set apart. Loved the pool area and grill, very close to town and multiple wineries along the Adelaida trail.

What a sweet little place if you are making a trip to Santa Cruz. Beautifully appointed, private, (Including a peaceful private backyard/patio in which to have your morning coffee or to read a book in the afternoon) perfectly located between downtown and the public beach. Carla was quick to respond to our multiple questions. Even Carla's brother kindly/quickly helped us when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the front door. (Don't lock the bottom lock on the front door :) I will definitely hope to stay here again when visiting Santa Cruz.

I had a lovely stay at Toni's place while visiting UC Santa Cruz--I was able to rest and work well in the lodging. Lots of great food options and beach access closely by. Highly recommend!

Jorian's place is amazing. Clean, cozy, well equipped for a couple and very very very well located, just minutes walking from Santa Cruz Down town, near from restaurants, nightlife everything. We recommend it for whoever wants to stay some time in Santa Cruz.

Can’t say enough good things. Great price for a great place. Hosts are super thoughtful in everything they have put into the space to make in comfortable for your stay! Had mentioned that we were traveling with a 1 year old and they left toys and books and even baby plates and bowls and utensils. Little things like that go such a long way. 10/10 would definitely go back!

We had a great time staying here! The space was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. It was fully stocked with everything we needed, which made our stay so easy and enjoyable. A big bonus was the selection of kids’ toys and books—our little ones were entertained the whole time! Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Deerfield cottage is a beautiful spot located in a convenient location near town but feels worlds away. We had a wonderful time; the space is thoughtfully appointed with all details considered. Monica is an exceptional host, both being incredibly responsive and providing recommendations that made our trip much more special. Can’t wait to visit again!

We loved our stay at Kathy’s place! Beautiful views, peaceful surroundings and a well stocked home- with local extras as a treat! Kathy’s husband even took the time to show our little one where the chickens were on the property. The living space is above the garage, just to point out to those who may struggle with stairs But because it is higher up, you get incredible views of the valley! We would love to stay with Kathy and her husband again.

This is the AirBnb to beat! It has absolutely everything— perfect location, spotlessly clean, SO comfortable with every amenity, and responsive, gracious hosts. There were so many awesome touches on the property that I can’t describe them all, but I kept discovering more and more that was available to us if needed. This included everything from many outlets in the bedroom to a medical kit and makeup remover wipes in the bathroom. Plus, the cottage was so pretty and filled with little decorative touches everywhere. We especially enjoyed the private patio with fire pit after a day of wine tasting. We would definitely choose to book here again if returning to Paso Robles.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying in a beautiful cabin in La Honda, CA last weekend, and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. The cabin itself was cozy, peaceful, and surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the redwoods — the perfect escape from the city. What made the stay even more special were the incredible hosts. Devora and her husband who own the property were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Their hospitality was genuine and heartfelt, and it really made all the difference. Whether you’re looking for a quiet retreat in nature or just a memorable weekend getaway, I can’t recommend this place highly enough. I left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already looking forward to coming back!

This is the ONLY home I will stay in when visiting my sister in Menlo Park. Beautiful setting, quiet, tastefully designed, responsive hosts 10/10!

I had a wonderful stay in the SLO guesthouse. The location was excellent with access to freeways and downtown. It was comfy and very well-appointed with many extra items available for use. I highly recommend it for an enjoyable visit to beautiful SLO and the Central Coast!!

Silvia is the most wonderful host! Thoughtful and attentive. She has a welcome snack and champagne waiting for you when you arrive. She’s truly thought of everything! The Studio is also great! Private and peaceful. Very well stocked. She’s got everything you’ll need! We loved the private outdoor area to enjoy the sunshine. We stayed for a longer amount of time and she made sure we had fresh linens for the bed and fresh towels. We would absolutely stay here again.
